During the initial diagnostic visit, the entire time the technician was more concerned about making…read moreYouTube videos on rv repairs than actually working to find the issues. The technician finished looking around and came to explain that he knew exactly what needed to be done in order to fix all of our issues. He explained that there would be a cheaper option and a very expensive option to get our AC units up and working again, he knew all the parts needed to get us back up and running again. So after All the diagnostic was done we were told that we would get our diagnostic bill and as soon as it was paid, we would get a list by end of day for parts that were needed to fix our issues and quote to do the work, at the time of deposit we would also get an idea of when to schedule for them to come out and finish with repairs. Then I had to reach out to them in the middle of the next day because I still had not heard from them, they threw together a parts list that was not completed compared to what the technician had explained to us. When I responded and said that parts were missing, I was told that additional diagnostic was needed. But would not be charged additional diagnostic, Neither would any additional service call fees for any additional visits. So I reluctantly paid the deposit for parts. I was sent a receipt for parts, but no additional communication on estimated time of arrival for parts or communication on when they would possibly be out depending on parts arrival, Nothing. In my history of dealing with contractors, that's sketchy, Not hearing from them at all after paying for parts. During this time I had reached out and informed them that I had a family member pass away and was working on funeral arrangements as well as needing to travel out of state for another dire family situation so I needed them to keep up with me so I knew what was going on and keep my schedule on track. And I was met with no communication until I called and left an irate voicemail about customer service and communication, and how I felt I was being scammed out of my money. Only then did I get response on an approximation on when parts would arrive, and it would be two weeks and a day later. They were 45 minutes late for appointment, showed up, no word to my wife or myself and just switch off our power. The propane part was incorrectly installed in 15 minutes, but the original technician that came during diagnostic visit was back STILL FOCUSED ON MAKING YOUTUBE VIDEOS FOR the whole 30 mins he was here. Came in, told us EXACTLY what he told us the first time, packed up and left, still with no AC and 10 minutes later I got a labor bill sent to me for $500! At this point, I had had enough with the games. I reached out again and explained that I was not paying $500 for them to be 45 minutes late for a 30 minute job where, the communication sucked, and nothing was fixed properly, was just given the same information as the diagnostic visit, and yet they still needed extra parts that we're supposed to be ordered the first time around. I went back-and-forth with their customer service representative most of the day until they got snippy and said that they would reach out to the owner to figure out what they could do.... The next day I was told that what I signed for was completed and that I would need more parts in order to finish the job where I was then sent another quote for an additional $1200 in parts and labor service call fee. The best thing that they could do for us would be to credit us an hour of labor for all of our troubles. Which I still had to go in and have them change three times because the credit wasn't added on the quote properly.... The numbers just kept going up, after the third time of correcting them I noticed they were still trying to charge that service call fee even after saying they wouldn't for additional visits. Month and half later, I have had a different technician company Fix their mess with far better communication and customer service, and confirmed the parts ordered initially for our Ac unit was not needed, and if they would have done the repairs to our third ac unit that they planned on doing it would have caused a fire because the unit was in far worse condition than they lead us to believe!

I brought both my truck and RV in for service. While there were multiple issues including…read moreunauthorized charges and a significant price discrepancy, my primary concern is that this shop sent my family down the road in an RV with dangerously weak trailer brakes due to incomplete work. The original quote was $3,000. The final bill was over $5,000. While I understood a ~$350 increase for upgraded RV tires (load range E vs G), the remaining ~$1,850 in additional charges was never discussed or approved. On my truck, I agreed to brake replacement and an inspection. When my wife picked it up, she was told I had also authorized an oil change, fuel filter, and engine oil filter replacement. I had not. We had recently had all of that done and were nowhere near due for it again. Those charges were added without my consent. For the RV (leaf spring replacement, bearing repack, and new tires), we specifically scheduled in advance so that the shop could complete the job in one day as they promised. When we picked up the RV, the trailer brakes were dangerously weak. I alerted the employees before we even left the lot, but was told to test them on the road and that they would likely improve. They didn't. As it was already past business hours, I decided to call first thing the next morning. The owner sent the same workers to my location, but they only inspected one brake, then left without finishing or notifying us even though my wife was outside the entire time. The owner became defensive, incorrectly insisted that checking one brake was enough to diagnose all of them, and stated he couldn't spare his workers to return. I was left to perform the diagnostic troubleshooting myself and confirmed that the brakes had not been properly adjusted after the hub service, a standard required step explicitly listed on my invoice as part of the job. The owner never returned my follow-up calls. The safety of my family was put at risk due to incomplete work. Use this shop with caution.

Needless to say, I was in a mood, and I turned to my roadside assistance for help and was directed to Certified. Originally, roadside assistance set my car's destination to a Chevrolet dealership, but it's a Toyota, so after I called Kyle to check the status of my tow, he recommended that I have my car towed directly to Certified instead since there's a mechanic there as well. Tow and mechanic? I'm all for it! William was dispatched to our location, and he contacted me when he was on the way and arrived so quickly! He also patiently waited for our ride to arrive before getting the car on the truck. I was amazed at how smoothly everything went considering it was late on New Year's Evening. My car was diagnosed and fixed the very next day. My fiancé was able to pick up the car the following day. The part, labor, and tow totaled to $400. How awesome is that? You guys saved my life! Thanks so much!

This last visit saw the repair of a window crank, awning arm adjustment, oven repair, leaky skylight in the shower, electric cord repair, and installation on outdoor light. The staff here was attentive but not overly friendly, everything went as I had hoped except the fact I just pumped $300 in diesel but that's okay I knew it was the last fill up before getting home. The outside areas seemed to be well maintained as were the restrooms. They do have a CAT Scale, I need to try this one day, - just curious what my rig weighs fully fueled to calculate my tire pressure. They do have a Speedco onsite which is useless for RVer's since they don't offer service for the RV Community even though I have a Freightliner Chassis which makes no sense but it is what it is, they are missing out on a lot of revenue I know a lot of RVer's would take advantage of this option if it was available. I'd stop here again when traveling thru the area...

She asked us some questions about budget and credit. We misunderstood one of the questions she asked and had to correct an answer. This all seemed a bit invasive, but not weird. But, I guess she thought like we looked like we didn't have the money to buy this camper (even though we said our budget was fairly unlimited) and kept trying to tell us (weirdly) that she didn't want us to fall in love with a camper we couldn't afford. She kept insisting that it's harder to qualify for a loan for a camper than a car and she didn't want us to be disappointed. Then when we insisted again that we were good and would not be dependent on their financing... she went and got the sales manager, Victoria, who did the same thing. I kept saying how weird this was, and that we just wanted to look at a range of campers that fit our preferences, she told us that we were the ones that made it weird. Needless to say, we left, disappointed at how we were treated.

However, I must give this Camping World location a solid five-star rating based on my experience with them earlier this month. I began having issues with the 12-volt battery on our RV and knew it needed to be replaced. We were traveling South on Interstate 75 and near our destination for the night with a few hours before check-in time. Since Camping World had easy access and parking at the Lake Park, GA exit, I decided to stop and check on a new battery. Not expecting much, I was surprised when I walked in and was greeted at the door and then again at the service counter. The gentleman who assisted me knew what he was doing and was very helpful. He walked out to the parking lot, verified the type and size of battery I needed, and even offered to loan me tools to replace it. He brought the new battery out in a shopping cart to my RV and told me to return once I had it installed to bring the old battery in to avoid the Core charge. When I checked out, he noticed my Good Sam Membership was due to expire soon and offered to add it to my order. I checked out and we were in and out in very quick order. I wish all Camping World locations had this level of customer service.
