My husband and I came in shopping for a camper- we told the saleswoman, Lindsey, specifically what we were looking for, our e, and that we had a fairly unlimited budget, as we would have no mortgage, worked remotely etc. and were looking for a 2B/2Ba camper. She asked us some questions about budget and credit. We misunderstood one of the questions she asked and had to correct an answer. This all seemed a bit invasive, but not weird. But, I guess she thought like we looked like we didn't have the money to buy this camper (even though we said our budget was fairly unlimited) and kept trying to tell us (weirdly) that she didn't want us to fall in love with a camper we couldn't afford. She kept insisting that it's harder to qualify for a loan for a camper than a car and she didn't want us to be disappointed. Then when we insisted again that we were good and would not be dependent on their financing... she went and got the sales manager, Victoria, who did the same thing. I kept saying how weird this was, and that we just wanted to look at a range of campers that fit our preferences, she told us that we were the ones that made it weird. To preface my review, I am not a fan of Camping World on the whole and typically find their locations to lack customer service. However, I must give this Camping World location a solid five-star rating based on my experience with them earlier this month. I began having issues with the 12-volt battery on our RV and knew it needed to be replaced. We were traveling South on Interstate 75 and near our destination for the night with a few hours before check-in time. Since Camping World had easy access and parking at the Lake Park, GA exit, I decided to stop and check on a new battery. Not expecting much, I was surprised when I walked in and was greeted at the door and then again at the service counter. The gentleman who assisted me knew what he was doing and was very helpful. He walked out to the parking lot, verified the type and size of battery I needed, and even offered to loan me tools to replace it. He brought the new battery out in a shopping cart to my RV and told me to return once I had it installed to bring the old battery in to avoid the Core charge. When I checked out, he noticed my Good Sam Membership was due to expire soon and offered to add it to my order. I checked out and we were in and out in very quick order. I must commend Fixed Operations Director Mr. Brandon Flint for his sterling service at the Lake Park, Ga. Camping World earlier this week. I showed up with a camper van I had just purchased and was driving back to my home state. I know next to nothing about RV maintenance. My husband used to handle these things, but now that he is newly disabled, maintenance falls to me--and there were some idiosyncrasies on our new RV that even my husband couldn't figure out. Brandon was eminently patient with my questions and showed me where I had made mistakes in routine maintenance. He gave me some tips and advice on how to care for the RV. I am a senior citizen almost 80 years old. I purchased a used Riverside RV retro from them. I was told it was being gone over from top to bottom to make sure everything worked right and it was good to go. Otherwise it was as is so spending a lot of money, I took the chance of believing them . been nothing but problems ever since I brought it to my daughters where I'm staying after hip replacement and fractured vertebrae. shower leaked all over the place. I mean, you could see where the caulking was all messed up when I had look at it. The heater doesn't work mattress is hard as a rock can't sleep on it. I have no way to fix anything and not enough money to keep repairing this thing I paid a lot of money for it. I thought I was getting something nice the way they talked. I am so disgusted with people there at this moment. I love the camper, but it's got so much wrong with it for an old lady and they knew who they were selling it to. They didn't need to rip me off. Bought a RV on the auction, everything was smooth, until I buy extended warranty. The agent told me, it would be very simple to cancel but this is not true. Called them several times, left voicemails and nothing. Very bad customer service and zero care for the client. Very frustrating experience. If you planing to buy extended warranty, don't do it!! VERY UNHAPPY CAMPERS ! So 2 yrs ago we had warranty work done at Camping World lake park. Our front door didn't close correctly. We took it in a couple times for the same issue. Eventually they replaced the whole front door. some of the flooring had to be repaired and In the process our vinyl in front of the front door wasn't put back properly, so it was bubbled under the vinyl. Soooooooo........ back to camping world it went. A company from out of town came to Lake Park and "fixed" the floor that was screwed up during the warranty repair. In the process of trying to fix it, the bedroom door was damaged and the overhang on the kitchen slide was ripped off. Oh yes they fixed that bc that damage was done when they tried to close the camper with the bedroom door open. Stupid right??! Also, the intelligent ppl that were brought in to do the floor ""PATCHED THE FLOOR WITH A SEAM IN A HIGH TRAFFIC AREA"" STUPID RIGHT!!!! Yep. At the time we told Andy in service that the floor is gonna peel on the seam. GUESS WHAT CAMPERS, IT DID AND 2 YEARS LATER CAMPING WORLD SAID THEY COULD CARELESS. My husband is a contractor and landed a contracting job in Valdosta for the next 6 months so we decided to purchase an RV to live while we are here. We purchased a nice size camper brand new and upon setting it up at our campsite for the next 6 months we noticed our toilet leaked and kitchen sink as broken and the bathroom door wouldn't shut along with the main front door wouldn't shut without pulling it shut tight and hard or slamming it. We were literally staying next door at the campground of camping world and I immediately called them and requested them to come fix it as we just bought it a day ago. Two weeks later they came and fixed some of the items. Front door wasn't fixed said they needed to replace the whole door. Upon fixing the kitchen sink they left it loose under the sink and flooded out under and causing water damage to my new camper. Lucky my husband is a plumber and fixed the leak because apparently they don't care to fix things correctly. When I called to have an update on my front door I was told they will be in touch. Months later still no call or update and I call and leave messages and nothing. Worst service ever and especially since my camper is new it shouldn't be broken from day one. I refuse to move my camper for them to fix it as they sold it to me broken and didn't bother to fix it all before they sold it to me. Worst service ever and Do Not Recommend. read more

They had the WDH I wanted in stock for a reasonable price and were able to install it that same day. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and while a took a bit longer than they said it seems to have been properly installed. Dropped one star because on the final bill they charged $24 worth of "shop materials". I've installed a WDH before, there are no materials required, everything comes with the WDH. I was in Georgia with my RV visiting my sister there. One day, all of a sudden the RV door would not shut. I took these screws out to get it to shut, but then I wasn't able to enter through the door and had to climb through the cab to enter. I am 60 and not a fit person and have a bad knee. I took it by Camping World in Valdosta (Lake Park) and a salesman, JJ, came out and climbed through the cab to open the door, put the screws back in and adjusted the plate on the frame and had it fixed in a couple of minutes. Didn't charge me anything!! Just told me I was welcome and to have a safe trip! Thank you JJ for helping me out and making my day knowing there are still people who do things out of the kindness of their heart!! read more

We bought our first camper today! Don't know if it was the craziest thing we've ever done but we drove all the way from Miami to get our rv. We were helped by Austin...if you are ever in the area and would like to purchase an rv he is the man to see. He was a very down to earth salesman looking for all the possible ways to make you a satisfied customer. We were given the rv inspection tour by Nikki and she was great. Super helpful! Parker was great at getting our rv ready. Mr. Bruce and Ms. Sandy also were awesome at getting us the numbers we wanted. The gentlemen in parts and the store were so nice and helpful! I have been to many Camping Worlds and other RV/Trailer service centers. This business is as good as it gets. We had an electrical problem - the refrigerator/ air conditioner breaker wouldn't hold. We were there at noon and so they told us they could look at it at 1 - 1:30 and that is exactly what they did, They found the problem to be minor and so they fixed it for under $50 and we were on our way. Every employee we encountered was friendly and personable. I wish I could have this staff meet me at every Camping World I visit. read more

"If your not happy, I'm not happy" is a HOLLOW statement. When I escalated my problem by contacting the corporate office and explained the situation as to why I was dis-satisfied and "not happy" with their service and repair, I was only able to speak to an assistant or to a customer compliance representative. The corporate office answer was, reciting the notes to me over the phone that were made by the person who I had already spoken with earlier at this location and instructing me to talk to the team member(s) who created the problem and resolve it with them. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND having your RV service done at this location. There is a SERIOUS communication problem not only between the service and parts department but also with their ability to communicate with the customer as to what their team member(s) decide to do (or not do) in the repair instructions you request. I Hope this helps a future customer to avoid an unpleasant service repair experience. read more

This is a great store, service department and campground. My husband and I were traveling to Florida for the winter in mid-December 2015. At the last minute, we called their service department to schedule an oil change for our motorcoach for later in the day, thinking we could make it there on time. By the time we got there, they were unable to get us in, but said they would be able to get to us first thing in the morning. We spent the night at their campground and loved it so much we stayed for 5 days. Everyone at this Camping World is very courteous and willing to go out of their way to help. read more

My husband and I purchased a used ( only 10,000 miles) 2016 class c motor home in July 2018. We were told that everything worked properly and that the roof didn't have any leaks. The first time we used the RV the roof leaked and the hot water heater did not work. We took the RV back to them the next week for repairs and they didn't want to repair the items that we were told were working and in great shape. THEY DO NOT stand behind their used RV/travel trailers. They want you purchase a very expensive extended warranty even though they said their service department checked the RV before being sold. read more

My rear AC unit motor mounts wore out. AC unit was making a banging noise. I had to shut off and when it's close to 100 degrees thats not good. Leo in te parts department help me find the correct parts. He went above and beyond....he called to manufactor to order the kit and check deliver. If at all possible do not buy from here. I have lived my whole life in the Lake Park area until 2012 when my husband took a job that requires us to travel. After trying to rent sight unseen with 3 dogs we decided to buy a 5th wheel. We were stationed in Kansas at the time and I just happened to be back home and go to this location to look. My husband was in Kansas and had already picked out a Toy Hauler and had financing in place. But oh no I had to have the Montana High Country I found back home. I took many pictures and convinced my husband to buy from this location. This was 11/16/15. All paperwork was completed deposit check cashed on 12/3/15. They were kind enough to store the unit until my husband drives from Kansas to pick it up on 12/21/15. When he gets there the unit is open slides are out and the technician doing the walk through tells my husband that one of the kitchen cabinet doors was not closed all the way and was caught in the slide and cracked but the door was already ordered. So this guy proceeds with our $1495.00 walk through and prep. On 12/22/15 my husband arrives to pick up 5th wheel and it's nicely closed up parked up front and ready to go. He gets back to Kansas on 12/24/15 parks it and we do not attempt to open the slides or do anything with it until 12/26/15 as we are planning our move to Kentucky. When we open it the cabinet door is not only cracked but busted, the whole cabinet is shifted off the counter and the kitchen slide where the cabinet door is makes a horrible grinding noise that the other 3 slides don't. So immediately I contacted CW in Lake Park. After I get the run around for a few days I contacted CW corporate office. Within 24 hours I've got the general manager from LP calling me as well as the CW in Missouri where we have to take it to get this fixed. So we were supposed to report to Kentucky on 1/24/16 and this is what we are living in with 3 dogs. There's no way we can put all our belongings in and make it to KY the to be put in a motel for somewhere in KY to fix this unit because this is how bad the slide is. So job postponed another month rent paid. On top of the dealership acting like we did this and blamed them. But just so happens in all my pre buying picture taking when enlarged I have dated photos that the damage was already there. So CW has to back off blaming us for the cabinet shift. The winterization sticker is on the door so my husband says after all this I better check to make sure because I guess nobody at CW in GA realized it gets below 0 in Kansas in December. Well the unit was not winterized they just forgot to take the sticker off the door, so here we are in 13 degree weather trying to winterize this unit so nothing bust because if it does warranty doesn't cover it. After 3 hours and several calls to a service tech in GA the unit has a bad check valve, so my husband takes it out flips it around and we finally get RV antifreeze in. Keep in mind we should have been offered this option when we bought this brand new $58,000 unit with every extended warranty possible, but we weren't. On 1/30/16 we take this unit to Missouri to get it fixed. This fix 3 or 4 days max provided GA has sent all the parts. Well after much staying in constant contact with the service dept we pick up the unit on 2/12/16 so we can furiously pack a whole house and be in Kentucky by 2/17/16. So I've already reached by my breaking point especially after paying $1495 for a prep fee so I call the general manager in GA and he agrees to give me a refund of $500 on that prep fee and we still don't have a cabinet door. The door is in GA and they can't get it to Missouri in time so they will ship it to KY when we get there and my husband has to put it on. So from 2/17/16 we are in KY and GA will ship the door as soon as the hinges come in. This is in an email on 3/1/16. So on 3/11/16 the door arrived and NO hinges. It's now 3/22/16 and No hinges. The part we take complete responsibility for is being novices at owning a fifth wheel and not making them actually demonstrate the slides, questioning them more through on winterization, making sure all our manuals were in the unit as we don't have a manual for this complicated thermostat and don't ever think a nylon plug attached to a brass fixture on your hot water heater won't expand and contract in the cold with the hot water and not spring a leak and certainly don't expect any help from the good ole boys in your hometown that you bought from when your 1100 or even 600 miles way unless you call the Corporate office. Because once they've made that sale and you are out of their face and can't just take the unit right to them you're on your own. The only reason they even got 2 stars was because I got back $500 of our money which had I even known the true meaning of prep fee I wouldn't have paid to begin with so that's on us too while we are still waiting on cabinet hinges. From the moment My wife and I walked in we were treated very kind and even the lady at the front acted like they wanted our business. So she got us a salesman named David who was great through out the whole process. He spent the time and showed us several units that were in line with what we were looking for and found the perfect fifth wheel a 37 foot Montana. My wife said this is us lol. We went back to the office and worked with a lady sales manager named Skylar very professional and in a few minutes we made the deal to buy the fifth wheel. We then gave all the information to Rick in financing super nice guy and then we went home being late after noon. The next day all approved we went back to do the paper work about 5 in the afternoon and pick up the RV. We also bought a super slide auto hitch for our short bed Ford and they installed it in the truck. Then it come up a storm and we did not want to pull it home at night in the storm. I ask them to put the walk through off till the next day and all agreed . So today we went back up there and Jamie went over the camper very thoroughly from front to back. Cory a service tech was ask to check one of the vent fans making a noise who also installed the hitch in our truck. Cory came out fixed the fan and was talking to me about the hitch and noticed the factor had left off a piece on the hitch so he swapped the hitch out then and there. I have never seen a hitch like the super slide but coming home pulling the RV it worked like a dream. We left with a bunch and hand shakes and smiles on both sides us and them. Today when we left they gave us a list of people to call if we had any trouble and We feel like the call would be answered. So we would highly recommend this dealership to our friends and family and anyone else that's looking for a nice RV and to be treated fairly. First I want to credit George for being a great salesman to deal with. He was very nice and went the extra mile for my wife and I. We found the specific camper we wanted shopping online and CW Valdosta had the model we wanted. We got the Coleman 2019 1605fb. I did most of my negotiating on the phone a couple days before I went. I recommend shopping online, find what you like using virtual tours, YouTube videos and online reviews. Then call and start negotiations and credit reports before you go because this process can last hours and if you go straight to the dealer it will be a very long process just due to the nature of financing luxury Items. It's not like buying a car. Even if You do most things before you arrive you will still have a lot of things to get done when you get there and being several steps ahead like this makes a huge difference when you get there. George was extremely patient with me with many calls and texts to get things going. When we arrived he was a great host. He also tried hard for me to get the trade in I felt I needed for my old camper. The only reason I have four stars instead of five is that I do feel camping world needs to do away with all the hidden fees. We got a smaller travel trailer and fees were $995 for destination fee, $495 dealer prep fee on top of a high document and title fee. These fees are not negotiable. I believe some of this is to sale Good Sam products hidden in the fees where you can't see this until the paper signing starts and it's in the details. These fees are on top of your sales taxes so just be prepared for this before you go or you may end up angry or with buyers remorse if you are not aware. This almost turned us away but George tried hard to get us what is fair on our trade in and most other dealers will have some of these fees as well (all though not quite as high). But we felt George went the extra mile in our trade in and the final price of the camper was very competitive compared to other similar models from other dealers online so we were ok with it before we even went to the dealer. We have had the camper about a month now and have taken it to the beach and love it. George has also called a couple times to check on us and see how things are going. We feel like he didn't just forget about us as soon as we signed the papers and that is a big deal because we went through that feeling when we got our first camper from the Byron, GA camping world. George and the staff at Camping World Valdasta redeemed the company for my wife and I after our disappointing experience in Byron. If you are planning to purchase from CW Valdosta we recommend you call George and he will work hard for you to make this a great experience for you. Just know about the fees going in. read more
