Dain and Cassie teamed up to pierce my daughter's ears both at the same time. They were both very patient, professional, and friendly. The private room was helpful in keeping my daughter calm. And even the oddball shop full of jewelry, gemstones, preserved bats & butterflies, and incense was helpful in keeping her distracted while we waited her turn so that she didn't lose her nerve. The piercing went smoothly and as soon as she hopped off the table, my daughter looked in the mirror, gasped, and exclaimed, "I LOVE them! Thank you, thank you thank you!" I will say that it was pricier than expected. For the piercing, jewelry (flat backs that had an upcharge) , and aftercare kit, plus tax, it came out to $176. But you get what you pay for and my daughter and I are both very satisfied with the experience. It didn't feel like it was healing at all. Unfortunately I needed to have it looked at but this location was closed on Sunday and Monday. I didn't feel comfortable waiting so I went to another piercing shop to get it checked out. They told me that the jewelry I had wasn't good among other things and it was good I came in because it could have become infected. Now I know that different shops can be biased and have competition but I did change out the jewelry just to see if that would make a difference. It was like night and day. Within the next few hours my ear started to feel better. Then after a few days it got even better. Obviously my piercing will take time to heal but the pain I've been in has gone way down as it heals with the new jewelry. It was disappointing that I couldn't get this checked and that I needed to buy new jewelry and have it changed out.

This felt stressful as the piercing is only 6 weeks old & my body heals very fast. There was no issues getting the new jewelry through, so all was good there. I then wanted to buy a piece of jewelry for my existing belly button piercing. It was very busy in the store so I understand things take time. However, none of the jewelry prices were labeled and the workers didn't know the prices either & had to manually look it up which took more time. So I decided to go with a blue naval ring which looked like the right size. I felt confident buying the jewelry without a piercer checking or switching it in themselves as I have changed the jewelry at home numerous times over the years. The workers were talking about my decision to not get checked out in front of me saying things such as "you can lead a horse to water" etc. This felt very unprofessional as I was 2 feet away from them & they were talking about me but not to me. I didn't want to wait for a piercer since it was so busy in the store. I just wanted to buy a piece of jewelry & it still took about 30 minutes to even do that. I said I was okay with the no return policy & was still talked poorly about in front of my face. The first time was to get my conches re-pierced…read moreafter I could not get my jewelry back in and assumed they had closed up - I had barbells that constantly got hooked on my mask loops, making it very painful to wear both...so I had removed the jewelry, for apparently too long. Jerry gloved up and took a look, hooked me up with different jewelry featuring flat backs that wouldn't interfere with other items on my ears and wouldn't aggravate my sensitive skin, and had me back out the door quickly and professionally! The second time was for the same piercing (it tries to close up quickly when it gets a chance) because I'd had hand surgery that required removing the piercings, but rendered my dexterity for reinstalling them impossible a few months later. Jerry to the rescue again! Very reasonable pricing for the time spent getting gloved up, sanitizing the work station, etc. The whole Sea City team is friendly, professional, welcoming, skilled, and generally awesome. It's also neat to see them outside the shop occasionally being part of different community events. One day I hope to get a tattoo there, too. :)
