Jake recently began a Japanese style sleeve for me. I have been tattooed by a lot of people, including many who have had front page coverage in tattoo magazines. Jake is at the top of the list as far as skill is concerned, but his creativity puts him over the top! I provided a few pictures as ideas, and told him what my concept was. He drew a piece that captured everything I had been hoping for. He has made suggestions that I could not have thought of, and his coloring recommendations leave me very excited to see the outcome. The shop is not what one would expect for a tattoo studio. It is located in a vintage building with very cool fir flooring, doors and trim. The feel is very calming and homey. I first found Katie at a shop much closer to my home and have followed her out to Snohomish Tattoo. It's a longer drive, but I would probably follow her anywhere. I had been looking for over a year for an artist to do a cover up of the cardinal sin (cover my ex's name), It wasn't just a name...it had a celtic cross, band, and BOTH of our names!!!! When most aritists looked at me like I was crazy, straight up said "No" or asked that I get it removed by laser before they worked on me...Katie was the first artist out of many that said "Sure, I can do that". Not only is she willing to take on a challange, her work backs her tenacity ten fold. Beautiful lines, vibrant colors and her shading is gorgeous. She feels like an old friend and we talk a whole lot about nothing. We're not quite done yet....but I'm in love with my new master-piece!! The shop is in a great location, super comfy and clean. The staff at Snohomish tattoo studio are so kind and knowledgeable! Their work is amazing! I had been struggling to find an atrist locally that had an understanding of sacred geometry and after feeling uncomfortable at other tattoo shops asking for a piece drawn up that meant a lot to me and having to walk out of a number of previous tattoo shops that had no idea what i was talking about i was lucky enough to find Snohomish Tattoo Studio! I walked in and got a warm welcome from Mark Skin and a female co worker (i wish i knew her name) they had the best energy and i instantly felt right at home and secure discussing my designs with them! Mark Skin took his time and did incredible work above and beyond what i had asked for! Lola for Piercing!!! I have been without earrings in my ear piercings for years, partially due to a bad piercing at a mall store, previously. I've been putting off dealing with it for a long time, but finally started looking for a real piercing studio. Lola recently started at Snohomish, and she's so good that her former employer sent me to her at her new location. She knows A LOT about the science of piercing. She is a friendly wealth of information and was able to find the canals that were already in my ears, avoid the messed up one from a crooked Claire's gun pierce, and get new jewelry inserted. I am so happy with the results and it didn't even hurt :) The shop is clean and comfortable. I will recommend to anyone who asks and go back for any other needs I or my daughter might have. I took my 9 year old daughter to see Lola to get her ears pierced. I did some reading and chose a piercer vs the mall "gun" method. Lola did not disappoint. She was such a wealth of information. She carefully explained all about the process. She put my daughter right at ease with her friendly nature. She took her time to get the placement just right on both ears, measuring precisely. The piercing itself was not painful, and Lola made sure to explain that a bee sting or a scraped knee are more painful. The process was clean and hygienic and there was a nice selection of bling to choose from. I can't say enough about what a great person Lola is. She made the experience exceptional! read more

Lola is experienced, precise and sure of herself with a gift for piercing. Meets you at your level of comfort and gives ideas for the piercing you desire, with ideas and consulting galore! An easy atmosphere and also private room. She carefully measures to accurately match how evenly the marks look on either side. Jake is a true artist. I went to him with a very vague idea of what I wanted in order to cover some very old, not-well-thought-out-at-the-time ink. I tossed a couple of ideas at him and showed him my existing work and what he came back with was an amazing design that incorporated my sketchy ideas that tied into the theme of my other tattoos. Through the tattooing process Jake never failed to be gentle and concerned for my overall comfort keeping me advised as to where we were in the process. Great shop. Great location. Great atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and the shop is clean with a great vibe! I go here to see Katie, she has done all of my tattoos and she is awesome. Jake is working on a cover up tattoo for me and it's amazing! I couldn't be happier. He is extremely talented and just a cool guy to talk to. I will be spending a lot of time in his chair and I trust him completely.He takes the time to listen to your ideas and concerns and he makes sure you are completely happy before he begins.My tattoo is fairly large and it was by far the most pain free experience of all my other tattoos. This tattoo shop is amazing! We made an appointment for 4 ladies to all get tattoos and Mark took care of all of us. His work turned out beautiful on all of us! Lola was working the desk, was extremely helpful, and even went above and beyond to research a reputable piercer in Indiana. Instead of just going ahead with a nose piercing for me, she listened to my concerns about skin sensitivity, and recommended not piercing today since I wouldn't be able to follow up with her. Absolutely great! Place is very clean, and I wouldn't ever go to another piercer besides Lola, because she's fabulous and extremely friendly and ridiculously knowledgeable. Amazing at what she does, for sure. I get my tattoos done by Katie; she does excellent work and is nice and relaxed, making the whole experience 0% stressful or scary.
