Third time here. I enjoy it because it is close to home and offers a ton of activities for kids, but this year some of those activities were canceled without any warning and it seemed as if no one really knew what was happening. We were told it was due to staffing issues at one point, which we understand. This is a great camping area with 3 pools, one which is adult only. You can rent a site or cabin. Bingo nights are the best nights!!

We spent 4 days at this campground and had a great time. Some of the seasonal sites here are absolutely beautiful. Here's our take... We stayed in site #322. It's a great location on the corner. Perfect site to people watch. Close to main area if you walk through the amphitheater path. This take you straight to the pool area without needing a golf cart. Plus a grassy field for pets is just a few feet across the road. Only downside was so much dry dusty dirt. We hosed down the site & road when we could. That helped with the dust a little. When we arrived our site had an issue with the 50amp. The maintenance staff was friendly & worked quickly to resolve it. Later they helped us find someone to fix an issue with one of the vehicles in our group. Their maintenance crew gets 5 stars all around. There were tons of activities. The schedule was packed. Various crafts,, pool workouts, corn hole tournaments, tug-of-war, flag football, a magician, a DJ, & a cover band. The most popular activity seemed to be bingo. Prizes varied from $10 to $180. Bingo was everyday and packed. There are 4 pools. One was adults only, three were families. There was also a toddler pool, a splash pad, and a few hot tubs. The rules are strict though. No diving. No jumping. No pool accessories. No horseplay. No water games. And no food or alcohol in the pool area. "Patrolling" was one of their downfalls. They had a few overzealous staffers with red shirts marked "Ranger". They "patrolled" on foot, by golf cart, on bikes, & in vehicles. I thought their "bike unit" was pretty aggressive. Often stopping non-helmeted bikers or counting campers at campsites. But when the "rangers" switched to vehicles, they drove way above the 8 mph speed limit to "catch" rogue campers on golf carts to tell them to drive slower. Overall the campground was great. Tips: Bring bike helmets for riders. (This was strictly enforced.) Don't forget anything. Store is small & stock was limited. As in if you run out of camper toilet paper, you need to take a 15 min drive to Walmart to get some. They don't carry it. Bring quarters & detergent for laundry. They didn't have a working change machine or laundry vending machines. Bring string lights if possible. It's pretty dark. Dog park is small like super small. Avoid sites in "The Meadows" area. The owner sites are nice but the rentals look they belong in 8-mile. No lie you might need a tetanus shot after a stay in one of them read more

Honestly, I was a little nervous after all these bad reviews. But my husband and I had an amazing time. The park was clean, they closed the pools mid day to clean and reopened later. The people were super friendly. There was a golf cart parade, super cute. I heard nothing when I went in camper at night. Thank you for an awesome weekend!! read more

Complete dump! Sites and bathrooms were disgusting. Aside from how unsanitary it is, the property is hardly maintained. The hot tub doesn't work, no jumping pillow. Very dangerous for children to walk or ride bikes, no security or rule enforcement. People speed through campground, blare music all night. What a horrible visit, very sad to see what Strawberry Park has become. read more

Stayed 4 days and the water was shut off two of the four days in the morning, 9 o'clock, for approximately three plus hours in 80 plus degree days to our sites. We had three families together in three different sites close together. Trash pickup was stopped at the sites so you took it to the maintenance area, no big deal until you arrived and found a 4 yard dumpster over flowing and two trucks with the beds also over flowing with bags of garbage piling up almost to the road. A camp sight located no more than 25 feet from the mountain of growing garbage. No security to be seen. Took the kids to the pool after lunch and they decided to shut it down to clean it in the middle of the day instead of cleaning it in the morning before people showed up. Was told that it would be shut down until 3 o'clock. Quiet time is 11 and apparently there is no rule enforcement because loud music playing until 3 in the morning. I'm all for a good time but many families have young children and that is a little overboard. All in all the place is dirty and not well taken care of. I was told there is a new owner and he doesn't care about anything but the bottom line. It shows in the way the park is being taken care of. Will not waste my time or money at this place anytime soon. Good luck to anyone who decides to try this place out. read more

We booked for a 2 night stay and ended up leaving less than 24 hours later. This place was pretty dirty and disgusting. Not kept up at all. We were surrounded on all sides by dirty unkempt sites. Our back window views were of the back of a "dwelling". This was more like an inner city trailer park. We paid the most we ever paid for a site and were the most disappointed we have ever been. Golf carts were everywhere with nobody obeying any stop signs or even slowing down where roads intersected. No WiFi unless you were by the check in. We normally make the best of a situation, but in this case had no desire to even try. Won't even go into describing the bathroom. This place could be great if they cleared out some of the "dwellings" and made it more of a camping experience rather than a trailer trash dump site. This was the most stressful camping experience yet and not even 24 hours long. read more

Nightmare - RIPOFF's Rented site 299, 3 nights. I was charged for a full service campsite. Sewer was full, manager said due to heavy rain. Not sure how rain clogs a septic system. State of CT needs to investigate. Refused to refund the over charge for sewer hookup. Is it unfair to ask for over charge of services that are not provided? I saw all the negative reviews but I didn't believe how bad it was. The park used to be a top notch park. read more

Not even qualified for a one star Went camping for 5days and left early. Place was so bad. We had to go 2days without water in 90 Degree weather No water for cooking ,cleaning, flushing toilets They should of told us at checking that they were going to do repairs at our end .maybe we would of asked for a different site or cancel the trip read more

We had a large family on 2 sites, park model rental, and our RV. On arrival, the girl asked my name, and eyed the people in my vehicle. When she pulled up our reservation, she stated how many people were on "my" reservation (the RV site) then looked back at the people in my vehicle and said "How many people are in your vehicle?" I stated the other reservation is travelling with us, and in the vehicle behind us, and stated how many people were staying at each site. "Well that isn't what it says here. Whatever. I guess I'll have to take care of it." In the six-person park model, if you have more than 4, they charge you extra. Wife made reservation, never questioned extra charge. THEY put one child on the RV reservation, so that the people on the park model reservation wouldn't get the extra charge. THEY did. Not US. If you're going to circumvent your own rules, why even have them? I certainly didn't need this girls attitude, on vacation. Determined to not let Nancy Drew sour us, we went to our site, VERY tight, and our trailer is only a 17' pull behind. Prob the smallest site we've ever been to. Later the children and I rode our bikes to the park, and after a while of play, rode back to our sites. We were stopped just before reaching there, because of not having helmets. Ok, its a rule. No prob. Next morning went out and got helmets. But the tone in which the employee said this to us can only be described as a "power-trip". That eve at the stage a band was playing to a half empty seating area, 2 of our small kids were sitting on the top of the picnic table behind 2 of our big kids sitting on the picnic table bench. Almost instantly an employee marched over and emphatically told the children to get down and not to sit on the table again. No "excuse me sir, could you please have your children not sit on the table?" No tact. Prior to arrival wife spoke with a manager about having guests visit the site, local family, to come spend time with an elderly person in our group that requires certain life sustaining equipment that is difficult to pack up and then set up again. Manager was incredibly understanding, and offered very reduced rates for their "guest fees" so that basically our entire family could stop by and see them. We gladly agreed to the terms that were afforded to us, and very thankful. Day 2, That info wasnt told to the teenage staff, every time someone arrived it took 10+ minutes of phone calls for them to verify what was agreed upon literally 3 times that day. Rode bike to front gate the last time cuz this guest didn't know the place. Got there, same employee that has been issue so far was there, giving them the 3rd degree, who they are, what they were doing here... I said that I was from site theyre visiting, payment was taken care of, I would lead them back. They refused to allow them through until "Security" came, and that only THEY could lead us. "Security" was two teen girls who didnt say a word, offer any direction, just drove to site, pointed, drove off. No one else that came prior to this had an escort. They drove to gate, gave our name, got their pass, and came in. Later that eve, 4 of us sitting around fire 15 feet from road, Nancy Drew rolled up, held her Mag-Lite like wannabe cop started looking into (physically putting head in open window) guests car. "Excuse me, we're right here, can we help you?" "Yes. Owner of this vehicle's times expired. They must leave the park Immediately." It was literally 10:01. Day 3,4,5,6: Heavy construction in the site next to us. Gas powered concrete saw, tamper, front end loader, dump truck. From 930 AM till 4pm. Every day. The week after July 4th. Upon leaving, pull up to gate. Sat for at least 20 seconds. "Hello???" Kid gets up. "Oh hey. That gate doesnt work. You have to back up and go around." "Oh sure let me just back up my entire rig because you couldnt have told me that before i pulled all the way in the lane or put a sign up." Rude/incompetent staff. Trash all over. Packed like sardines. No good WiFi. 0/5. Would NOT recommend. read more

Strawberry pie was a very cool place to go with your family I don't know what happened but since last year this year is so disappointing they don't fix nothing they charge a lot of money for that very poor service when they give it to the customer they treat people really bad Last Labor Day weekend we was there the people in the gate was like crazy screaming yelling I can't understand if your last drunk don't look normal in the place where they charge me a Lotta money was the worst place I don't recommend this place to anybody I'm sure it is so many places better I give one star because I don't have other options they don't deserve even one . read more

Look elsewhere! Several bad things about this campground. Camp site are too close together. They don't enforce the quiet hours so the site behind us (permanent house) was playing loud music and partying until 3 am while we trying to sleep. The campsite was rocks so tent sleeping needed more than a bag. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly but they were a 5 min walk from campsite. The port-a-potty by site was not cleaned regularly and was gross by the end of the weekend. Activities that were scheduled like the magic show was cancelled last minute. read more

I spend 4 night there this June 2024 and it started off horrible. They sent me my lockbox code via email 3 days prior to my arrival for our rental unit, when i got there the office was closed, it closes at 4 when rentals can't be rented until 4 p.m. makes no sense, so you check yourself in and go to your unit. I went to unit and used code they gave me, and it was wrong, tried several more times and nothing. Called office, of course no one was there, got voicemail and waited 30 minutes or so, nothing, finally walked around and asked the seasonal people they gave me a number and i called, the day time manager who lives on the property came and said that the office worker gave out wrong codes to some people, wonderful. Got inside unpacked and turned AC on, nothing... turned on and turned right off, no cold air coming out of vents tried this several times and then had to call manager again, she tried and had to call maintance, who is off also and they both couldn't get it to go on, by this time it's almost 7 p.m and i've been waiting for hours to get settled in, unpack and get my dog comfortable since it was about 75 degrees outside. They finally said they would try to get me another unit which is what i suggested hours before since there was no way i was sleeping in a unit with no air. They finally got me another unit, which had to be cleaned and prepped for me, another hour and finally got to settle down around 8 p.m. after being there since 4:15 p.m. long day and the manager apologized but there is nothing she can do since the owners are not around and only give their employees so much help. The unit was clean but run down, the couch was stained, the bed mattress was lopsided once you laid down you started to roll to the other side, the kitchen table was broken, the leg wobbled and the deck and picnic tables outside were so old you would get splinters if you sat on it. The campground needs work, the sites are not kept up, the only nice thing about it is that the seasonal people keep up their parts and it makes it look good, but the regular sites need help. The pools could be nicer, they were dirty on the bottom, bugs floating in them, no body around to skim them as we were swimming. It could be a 8-10 rating if they only cleaned up and paid attention to the little things. It's about a 5/6 right now only because they did try to help me the best they could and it's early in the season but they need to work on sites and rental units. read more

Great place with lots to do for kids. 3 pools (with one for adults only), splash pad, big playground, basketball, tennis and lots of activities. The checkin process was a breeze and the sites were pretty easy to get into. The negatives, it needs a little cleaning up and upkeep and def would be better if they had some shade around the pool areas. It gets beat with the sun all day long and can be brutal in the summer. We would def come back. read more

This place was disgusting. The cabin rentals were not even cleaned in between different guests stays. After half my party went home a day early I witnessed a new family move in with no one ever coming by and cleaning. They were old and dirty and this was while they were supposed to be taking extra Covid precautions. In addition, several times throughout the weekend there was no water. The office staff didn't seemed fazed and told us simply to wait about an hour. There were young teens driving golf carts fast at all hours of the night. They almost ran over my children! It is packed with way too many camping spots way too close together. Not a location for you if you are seeking peace and being in nature. Skip this place and look elsewhere! read more

We love this campground! Can't wait for the playground to open! Super fun renting golf carts! The staff was SUPER friendly. Our golf cart had an issue and they simply swapped us out no issue! Very accommodating! The women in the store are so nice! Attentive lifeguards, (bring your coozies to the pool parents! No *obvious* alcoholic beverages in the common areas!) fun to cruise around in the carts even at night ! The only local food options are pizza, chili's, or Walmart! They have LOTS of goodies in the shop though! Didn't experience the snack bar yet, due to covid. Will be returning before end of summer!!! read more

Horrible stay, i still waiting to hear back from someone about our rental not having a proper lock for doors and ruining all plans we had for the weekend (last weekend). Plugs in unit not working, place was not properly cared for. They take long to return your calls, they said you have to bring your own sheets, they forgot to say to bring your own mattresses, came back with a horrible back pain from the wood on the bunk beds. Totally overprice!! We rented a trailer. read more

My wife and I spend a week at Strawberry Park every year during the summer with our family. We usually rent 4-5 trailers, so there's over 20 of us. The kids enjoy it a ton. There's lots to do to keep them busy. Pools, activities, arts and crafts, etc. The pools are nice and clean. I enjoy the adults only pool and I'm glad staff is good about keeping kids out of there. It's nice to be able to float in a pool without being splashed by little ones, and I'm glad the kids are separated from the drinking adults. If it wasn't for the fact that it's tradition to come here, and that the kids really enjoy the trip, I probably wouldn't come here. The cost is just not worth it when you need to bring everything including linens, pots and pans, utensils, etc. read more

The worst camping trip ever. Should have known what was coming when I had to call the resort 3 times to get a reservation confirmation. Didn't have running water for the last 2 days of our stay. The first day the girl in the office said it would be fixed in about an hour, which it was, only to go out again for the rest of our stay shortly after. Called the number left on the office door on three separate occasions. Never received a response. Left a message with the main office. Never received a response. We had two little ones with us. Kind of hard to cook and use the bathroom with no running water. The place is a joke. read more

The only reason for giving one star was for all the activities and bingo. Other than that it was a disaster we went in and out of the park many times and there was no security. The gate was just left open. Anyone could have come in. I be been coming here for years and have never seen it this bad. Let's get to the loud Spanish music now. All day long. Load as hell. Asked politely to lower. They did then just went back up. Should be called strawberry Park Lala. First night they were all up till 3:15 am yelling and screaming with their music kept calling security. They did nothing then stopped answering. We will never come back here again. The whole place is out of control there are no rules. Golf carts flying around everywhere. Too bad it was once a great place to camp read more

We stayed at Strawberry Park in Preston Ct last weekend. This was our first experience with the facilities. My general comment is we probably will not go back. We got there Friday afternoon. Friday night another guest played music and watched outdoor projection. We went to bed at 10:00 pm and woke up at about 12:20 with the racket. They finally stopped at about 3:30 in the morning. We complained to the office. Something was supposed to be done. Saturday night was Karaoke night for the same people. Went to bed again about 10:00 pm and woke up a little before midnight, they were playing loud music. Called security, they claimed that my wife swore on the phone and they hung up on her. This was not true. We went back to the office the next morning to complain loudly. The service desk person told us that security had been informed of two areas on the campground about noise past the quiet time. Looks like they did nothing. We demanded another site for the rest of our stay. We visited the whole park. There are trailers, park models that are rented. They looked pretty pitiful. Saw broken shades through the window. Places looked dirty. Skirts around these places were damaged. Kind of looks disgusting. I certainly would not rent any of these places. There were privately owned places that were well taken care of, but in general a lot of places are not too appealing. Any management worth its salt would go visit the place and get things improved unless all that matters is to milk the cow until there is no more. Admit it is a very dry summer, the road had no treatment. Everything was covered with dust from the roads. I stay stay away from this place. read more

This is our third visit to strawberry park over the past 7 years. Probably our last. The park has changed a bit since new owners came in. The park does not seem to be kept up at all. Run down seasonal sites and the most dirtiest campground we have ever visited. The dust and dirt from the raids is out if control. Every camper and vehicle there has layers of dirt on them.. you can barely enjoy the outdoors. They need to treat the roads it is bad. Everyone complains. today is memorial day.. many people packing up and suddenly there is no water any where.. bad timing cannot even rinse coach windshield. All public restrooms are full of nasty. We have a 43 ft class A although we did fit we felt out of place. Mostly camping trailers. They do alot of activities for the kids. There are a lot of kids. read more

Coming here with friends, I've never had a bad experience which resulted in me not wanting to come back. They have nice facilities, and the camp is, for the most part, well maintained. Close proximity to both Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, which is nice. 30 minutes from the Orient Point Ferry too, which allows fast transport and not having to deal with the I-95 traffic. The park model I stayed in was very close in proximity to everything. It did get a bit stuffy at times, and the trailer got warm quickly. It was well equipped though, and had comfortable accommodations. The bathroom was clean, and the staff provided basic necessities like toilet paper. There was always a stench floating around in the bathroom though. Bingo was always fun, the staff, for the most part, were good, and the good from the grill was on par with a regular snack bar. The 4 stars will stay, and I hope I am able to come here again! read more

Here is a concise review of Strawberry Park. I arrived on July 22 and left on July 25. We stayed at Cedar Court on site 70 WARNING: Cedar Court is considered the PARTY ZONE. We did NOT know this when we made our reservations. If you are having a large amount of people, this is the recommended place. Luckily the noisy families left after a few days, but they remained loud until 12-1 at night SITE: Our site was very close to the bathrooms and the pools. We used tents instead of an RV or House 1.) First Impression: The site was a strange shape and the ground was uneven and covered in roots and rocks 2.) Trash: The ground on the site was covered in trash, like bottle caps, plastic, etc. We couldn't set up camp right away because of the trash, so we called for Staff. a. Staff came RIGHT AWAY and happily cleaned up the area. They were friendly, personable, and enjoyed speaking to us. They cleaned the area right away and we were very satisfied with their job. 3.) Water, Cable and Electric: To turn the water off completely, you have the turn the handle very tight to ensure no drips leak out. The cable has three channel: 2, 3, and 135, and channel 135 does not work. You have to bring your own TV for the cable, obviously. Electric works well, just make sure to bring extension cords 4.) WIFI: The WIFI does not work currently, but personally my family found the experience more enjoyable without WIFI 5.) Noise and People: The noise level was high because we were so close to the pools and the bathrooms. There was a lot of foot traffic as well BATHROOMS: 1.) First Impression: The bathrooms were VERY CLEAN. I had no problems with cleanliness whatsoever. I was very impressed with the bathroom's cleanliness, 2.) Showers: The showers were extremely clean. The water pressure was strong and the temperature range was amazing! You could take a nice long hot shower without it going cold. There are shelves in the bathrooms to put toiletries on. In the Left Women's Showers there are white large tables/stools to put your clothes and to help change with. In the Right Women's Showers there are regular stools. There are also towel hooks as well 3.) Staff Cleaning: The staff are CONSTANTLY cleaning the bathrooms. However, there were a few occasions when it was hard to have privacy while using the toilet because the staff were continuously in the bathrooms cleaning. They were very nice and friendly as well. POOLS: 1.) Pool 1: This pool is closest to the bounce pad and the pavilion, farthest from the Office building. It is shaped like an L with the bottom on the longer side; this part was 3-4 feet deep and was fantastic for lounging. The top part of the L went from 5-9 feet deep. This pool was kept in incredible condition. 2.) Kiddie Pool: This pool is 1ft deep and is located next to Pool 1. It is fenced off from the other pools and is kept very clean. There are seating here and all over the pool areas. 3,) Pool 2: This pool is in the middle of the 3 and closest to the Office building. It is shaped like an L but the bottom is shorter than Pool 1. This pool has a diving board and was kept in fantastic condition as well. The diving board doesn't have great springing but does bounce off a bit. 4.) Pool 3: This pool is the adult pool. You have to be 21 or over to enter this pool. Staff are VERY ATTENTIVE to make sure that no one under that age can go inside, The pool is very shallow, around 3-4ft. There is pool basketball and there are a lot of water activities that take place here, including music that plays from the pool's speakers. 5.) Hot tubs: Only one was working at the time and it is located in the 21+ pool area. The other hot tub was not working. Teenagers are not allowed in the Hot tub, which was very disappointing. There are no hot tubs for kids/teens. 6.) Staff: There are ALWAYS at least two staff workers in the pool area. They are very attentive, friendly, and nice. ARCADE: 1.) There are about 10 games and it is not very big. However, it was very fun and everyone enjoyed it. It is located on the platform next to the pavilion and pools FOOD: 1.) The restaurant a. Choices: The restaurant had a wide variety of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was mostly common food from a restaurant you'd usually go to b. Serving Size: The servings sizes were fantastic! Breakfast kept us full for a long time before we wanted to eat again. Definitely worth the money c. Taste: All of the food was amazing and made exactly to order. d. Cost: For 3 people it was a bit pricey, but nothing too bad, abut $20 each time e. Creamery: a bit pricey, but fantastic quality and large servings OVERALL REVIEW My family really enjoyed the park. There was a plethora of activities, fun things to do, and nice families to meet. The staff was amazing, very attentive, and happy to help with anything. My family will be back. I recommend to go, and I hope this review helped! read more

The strawberry's are sour at Strawberry Park! Unfortunately this campground has gone downhill. New ownership has failed to enhance the park (actually, just the opposite). After 10 years of visiting with my family/friends, we have decided to go elsewhere next summer. Sites are small/damp/dirty, rec activities that used to be so great are gone, Manager is non-responsive, it's like a mismanaged amateur hour now. How about treating campers more like the "guests" that they are? read more

Was there the week of the July 8th for 1 week. The internet has not worked since they opened in April. One hot tub was not working, the other one was not hot, there was a drunk it the hot tub, falling asleep, told the staff and they even didn't come out to check him. There was glass bottles at the pool and people smoking inside the pool area. There was very loud Spanish music playing from some of the rental trailers, called security and they came over and nothing was done, they didn't turn it down. Place was understaffed, many activities were cancelled when no staff showed up. Bag ice that you bought at the store was melting in their cooler, sites had more than 6 people in them, They had a truck with a noisy exhaust picking trash up at 10:30 at night. Golf carts were speeding and people were drinking while they were driving them. Place has really gone down hill. read more

Very disappointed, this place has gone downhill since it was sold to big corporation. The Manager is not connected with what is going on at this site. Most of the help is useless, the customer does not come first at this park. The site was fine (we brought our own RV)however the web site is misleading. There is no WiFi available at all! I addition we had electrical issues and were unable to find a number to call. We paid for the pump out service and as of this writing (8:51pm) they have not arrived to provide the service, this is after two trips to the office and failed attempts at calling. We waited for 20 minutes at the snack bar for ice cream because the staff is poorly trained. It is apparent that this camp site is designed for those that travel with their own fun and do not rely on any of the amenities provided. I will say that BINGO was fun and the caller was quite good, other than that I would not waste your time and money. Editing to add that the fire pit was overgrown with grass and had garbage in it that I had to clean and the wood sold at the store was not seasoned and therefore did not burn. read more

My family is here at Strawberry Park the weekend before Memorial Day and on Saturday the employees all decided to leave. Most, if not all, of the events were cancelled without telling anyone. Even the pool was locked and when asked they would not reopen it saying that it's going to be closed at 4:00 pm due to shift problems. The sign says 10:00 pm. Closed areas include the Camper Store, Registration Area, and Food Area. The maintenance staff appear to be here but they are smoking out near the staff area. The campers appear to be here on their own. Not certain how you can run a camp when all of the kids running the place are hanging out together. It started out badly on Friday when the maintenance staff would not even move their vehicles out of the way to let me back my camper into the spot. Even the person at the gate told me that "I was screwed" with that spot because the crew never leaves. He was right... read more

I don't know how anyone can come here and not have a fantastic time! We rented 3 trailers and 2 hook up sites. The trailers were great! Clean, comfortable and they got us all right near one another. They had a full list of activities for everyone, a dance, full grill with really good food and everything you'd except at a resort campground. The staff was super friendly and answered any questions we had. I'm currently writing this from in the trailer I rented and not worrying about checking out because they're letting us do late check out. I use to go to this campground as a kid, but will not go back. I had booked a park model for the first week in August but, had to cancel due to covid. They would not put the amount back on my credit card but said they would mail me a check. I have called 3 times over the last 3 months . All they say is that it is being processed. Something their being fed to say to anyone looking for their money back. I had also booked this in Sept. 2019 , so they have had my money for over a year now. I will say last year I went there with my kids and it was dirty and shower didnt work well. The model I had rented also had a septic kinda of smell. I also want to say that SOME of their seasonal people are so RUDE and act like they own the whole campground. If you have your 2 yr old in your lap while YOUR driving a rental golf cart.....the seasonal ppl will see you and yell at you cause no one under 18 is drive the carts( I'm not kidding). If they see you again .... They call security on you and have them chase you down. The only reason I had re-booked for the following summer was because friends of ours were going and wanted us to rent next to them . I was ONLY doing it so my kids would have someone to play with. I personally was not looking forward to going back. Now Im fighting to get my money back. There are plenty of other campgrounds out there. read more

This is / was our first time at this campground and I don't think we will be coming back. Let's start with check in first. Usually most check ins are right in the very front before you enter the campground. The check in office is a little bit down it's roads right next to the pools. There is NO place to park. We have 34 ft class A. If there were multiple campers pulling in at the same time all I can say is... GOOD LUCK! The roads are narrow here as well. So to check in I have to park and try to pull of slightly out of the ways so someone coming up/down could get by. Then had to exit RV and walk about 20-25 yards to check in office. I am going to guess girl behind counter was new as it was slow check in. She didn't seem to know exactly what she was doing. Forgot to give me my car tag. Now onto my site.. narrows roads and they are not marked very well as to the names. There was no one that could lead me to the site, as I did mention I was new and was my first time to park. (That didn't get very much reaction at all. Such as "welcome to the park / glad you are staying with us etc.) so now I am driving my 34 ft aimlessly around these narrows dirt roads just trying to find my site number. We actually circled around same area 3 times before we found the site number. Most sites are back ins unless person who is behind you not there then if you can maneuver through the (again) narrow sites you can pull through. We are in a tree, shaded area. Here we are a week away from summer and my GF wanted to go check out the on resting all day in the RV and relaxing.. it is a little before 5pm and the store is closed!! Registration is gone..everything is dark. So if you want firewood after (we learned 4 pm the store /office closed) your out of luck. Maybe once summer officially starts thy stay open longer.. but just in case get your things early if you need them. There are 3 pools which do not seem the cleanest. There always seems to be brown dirt on the bottom. The outdoor saunas were disgusting and neither me or my GF would set foot in them, never mind our bodies. There is a ice cream and full snack bar located by the pools.. again we are a week away from summer and these are closed during the week. Even though they have a breakfast and lunch listed, it does not open until 5 pm today (on a Friday) Campground store is not well stocked at all. Lots of kids pool toys, small selection of shirt, hoodies, camping items.. but make sure you bring everything you need for food. Durning my stay 5-6 coolers of soda, food... 2 packs of cheese, 1 package of bacon, 2 packages of hot dogs, and I think 1 or 2 other things. Now that I am thinking of it.. there are more cons than pros here.. I'm going back up top to change my 2 star to 1.. we won't be coming back here. read more

Workers are very rude to adults and children. They have stupid rules. Very low class of people that camp here. Golf carts drive reckless. Nothing for kids 15 year olds to do. All activities are for younger or older. The worker at the gate did not even tell us the right way to campsite. Will not come back. read more

Horrible staff. I've been going here for years and the past few experiences have been horrible. It's under new management or something and rules are changing, staff are unpleasant and witch-like, to frame it nicely. They've been just about threatening and aggressive and when I asked for their names, they wouldn't tell me. The pool was supposed to be heated and it wasn't. All my kids were looking forward to it. And every time I asked staff about it they gave me a different answer, mostly with nasty remarks. Would not recommend this campsite anymore. There's less than half the activities that there used to be. And for the poor location with no points of interest nearby, it's no longer worth their rising prices to argue with nasty staff all weekend. read more

Horrible experience! First of all when I initially booked my 4 day stay for tent camping I was very specific on what kind of site I was looking for. When my family arrived for our vacation the site that was given to us was all large pieces of gravel and stone. No place to pitch a tent! Had to find office that was packed with people and i was proceeded to be told that the staff that books the reservation has no idea what each and every site looks like. Are you kidding me??? The switched my site to a better one but now I am more than a block away from the bathrooms. Which is a problem if you have a little one who goes to the bathroom often. 2 out of the 4 days the splash pad was shut down along with the jumping pad. So you know what that means??? EVERYONE IN THE POOL and not dispersed throught the facility. No room to even swim. The only thing my son was excited about the park was the arcade....and you guessed it the power went out for hours along with the A/C not working in the arcade so it was over 110* in there. Dont expect wifi either. They are advertising that every site has it but wifi didnt work the whole time we were there and one of the staff said it has been out for weeks. Easily one of the worst camping experiences I've ever had. My friend had showed up late Sunday afternoon had not really discovered. The campground was walking around down a pathway, which had no signs indicating that you could not walk down the path then in the morning security held them at the gate while waiting for someone to pull up in a truck The Man and said truck then jumped out, punched my friend in the face, and the security proceeded to watch happen, and didn't do anything Definitely will never go back again heads up for anyone out there or planning to go there. read more

I've been a faithful camper for over 15 years and this year, I noticed the patk has an infestation of FLIES. Your unable to eat, sit, walk, shop at the store or use the bathroom without being swarmed and attacked by these flies that are everywhere including as I write this review. Whatta shame, this park has given me good family memories but I think Imma call it quits. Exterminate the grounds. read more

Canceled my original reservation because of bedbugs and gave my family a different place to stay. When we got there, they changed us again to a much smaller unit far, far away from the rest of our group. Very disappointed. read more

I wish I could rate this less than one star. Strawberry Park is under new ownership (2023) and it has gone downhill FAST. Don't waste your money. read more
