Can we trust connectivity provided by Strata networks? I have had a mixed experience with Strata Networks. While their service works okey at times, RELIABILITY has been a concern. There have been instances where the internet connection gets interrupted without any prior notice. Occasional outages are understandable since these systems depend on electrical infrastructure, but when disruptions happen frequently, it becomes difficult to consider it 'normal'. This can be especially frustrating during important virtual meetings or conferences, where even a short interruption can cause significant issues. Although customer support does respond and resolves the problem (for the time being), the recurrence of the issue is something that should be addressed more proactively. In terms of performance, I have also noticed inconsistencies. With my current $65 plan, I am getting around 80-90 Mbps download speed but only about 5 Mbps upload. This could be due to local factors like cheap or rusty coaxial cables, but it still impacts overall experience, especially for tasks that rely on a decent upload speed. For comparison, services like Starlink offer roughly 100-105 Mbps download and around 30 Mbps upload (in Vernal sky) at a lower monthly cost of about $35 or $50, which makes it a compelling alternative. Overall, Strata Networks is a 'just okey' ISP, but there is definitely room for improvement in reliability and performance consistency. These are important factors to consider when choosing an internet provider. If you want terrible internet. And you have it shut off but they bill you for a year afterwards anyway this is the place to go

Their customer service is amazing! Martina was so patient and helpful. She has great customer service skills. She didnt try to rush my problem. She even called me back like she said she would. We are now living in the Ogden area, but still find Strata one of the best options as a cell service provider. We recently purchased two Iphone 12 minis, and saved the price of one phone by driving to Roosevelt. We find that cell reception is comparable with most of the major providers when we attend family outings, and go hunting and fishing in the western U.S. We appreciate the friendly and personalized service we always receive. Every time I have went in it seems like there are tons of workers in the back and only a couple on the floor to help. With that ending said, it takes forever to be helped. I love the new location, much more "with the times" and not outdated. read more

I do not like that Strata hides things from their customers. I had to find out on my own that they no longer offered the 5MB internet plan and that I could get 10MB for the exact same price since it was now the slowest speed offered. They would have gone on forever without telling me. So I took the liberty to tell everyone I knew. Not good business and certainly not a good way to maintain public trust and loyalty. I also Had to find out on my own that they offer an alternative to DSL internet. I have complained about paying for an unused phone line for a long time and now I find out that I can get Cable Internet for less money than my current bill for the same speed internet. I am not a happy customer. Oh and did I mention that I have had a phone line strung across my yard for 4 months? read more

One star us being generous... If you enjoy consistently over paying for your services, then they are wonderful, I've been with them for about 5 months now and it never fails every month my bills is outrageous, after calling and being told I'm gonna just have to pay it, it's frustrating, granted they'll credit your bill. And then screw you over again. Customer services is horrid, they blame everything on the computer..last I checked humans input data into the system. Although according to then this is wrong too. Cable is alright a hell of alot better than Internet, which hardly works! Your better off using the 4G on your cell. And racking up added data charges with your phone company, that's about the amount you'll be paying this company anyway. The kicker? Besides satellite they're the only Internet provider in the basin. And they know this, taking full advantage of their customers, go to their Facebook page I'm sure you can count the amount of praising comments on one hand. If you can help it don't use this company but if you have no other option be prepared to loath them the entire time. read more

This is the worst ISP that I have every experienced. Strata has a monopoly on the area and they know it. I way over pay for a 15 meg connection that on average barely maintains a 2 meg speed. I can't stream a video without buffering or complete shut down. Internet connection drops out intermittently and after about 10 pm to around midnight Internet either barely works or flat out is not there. Tech support is about a joke as well, always saying it's something of mine using all the bandwidth. Funny with all Internet devices disconnected or off the same problem persists. I can run all my devices off my phones hotspot just fine without interruption however I have a weak signal on the edge of town. Interesting since they own the cell towers as well. Basically the worst product and service I have ever experienced. If I had a real alternate choice I would use someone else. read more

I have been a Strata customer for 50 years. You can't get better service! If anything does go wrong they are right on it and living out in the "boonedocks" like I do that is quite the accomplishment. I do not ever recall having a problem that was not solved efficiently and quickly. The repair people are friendly and courteous and take the time to explain what the problem is. Those who operate the phones and those at the counter if you go in are also knowledgeable and courteous. It has been a pleasure all these years. read more

Strata... They seem to do ok when there is some sort of competition in the area. I have lived in the Basin for 20+ years. Strata is a good company as long as there is someone else local providing the same service. At the moment there is no one else local (They bought Bresnan, the last cable company.) Strata turns into a nightmare. Customer service is mostly a joke, you can never seem to find anyone who knows what they are talking about. The techs blame your equipment, or the lines inside your house, including the ones they run for you. Being the only internet provider in the Basin, if you want to connect, you have to pay this local monopoly through the roof for whatever connection they decide to provide you. They never can seem to provide a stable connection for the entire month, and refuse to reimburse you for the days/weeks your internet was down. Even some of the satellite companies don't want to touch the Basin. I personally hate Strata and their underhanded monopoly. If they didn't have everyone in the Basin over a barrel they could provide a pretty decent service. If they would stop suing any other company who tries to enter the Basin, we might see some competition again and have decent internet for a decent price. I basically hate Strata as bad as everyone else in the Basin does and wish there was something that could be done about it... read more
