I went from being a dude with shoulder-length hair to having a fresh look! My hair is very curly so I don't trust a lot of people to cut it, but after each visit I always feel like A million bucks. To be fair, when I went back inside, the barber was accommodating and corrected the section I pointed out. I'm giving 2 stars because I've had good haircuts here in the past, but this experience was disappointing enough that I probably won't be returning.

She genuinely cares about her clients, always making you feel welcome and taking the time to ask about your family and what's going on in your life. Recently, I decided to make a change to my hairstyle, and Elly was extremely supportive throughout the process. She listened to what I wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions based on my hair type, and helped me find a style that was a great fit. The results have been amazing, and I've already received a ton of compliments! I'm so grateful for her expertise, professionalism, and kindness over the years. I would highly recommend Elly to anyone looking for a talented stylist who truly cares about her clients!

When I move somewhere new, one of the first things I need to feel like I'm "home" is a great barber…read morewho I see regularly. I'm so happy that I found Elly on Yelp, and now I get a fresh cut from her every few weeks. I have no doubt that she's not only one of the best barbers in the south Denver 'burbs, but one of the best in the whole Denver metro area. After moving to Denver from LA (I know, one of those people), where I had gone to some of the most hipster, priciest, tattoo-filled, Instagram-worthy barber shops in the city, I was used to getting great haircuts that came with a great side of laughs. With Elly, I'm happy to say that I still get both. I am that person who asks for something slightly different literally every time that I get my hair cut, even if it's a tiny change, and Elly is happy to accommodate and translate what I'm looking for every time. I fully trust her to take me from style to style, which is a regular thing for me. I look forward to getting a great haircut every time, and it's really fun to have a barber who remembers all of the conversations that you've had about literally anything. Even though it isn't part of the price of the haircut, I learn a lot from Elly from our conversations. It's one of the best parts of my week whenever I come in. Also, you can book your appointments online on Elly's website, which makes your life so much easier. Somehow, in an industry that nearly makes it impossible to do so, Elly somehow always runs on-time. There are a buttload of places closer to my house and work where I could get my hair cut, but now that I found Elly, I don't go anywhere else. If you're looking for your barber anywhere in the south burbs or beyond, look no further than My Barbershop (but book an appointment online first).

I brought my son in for a haircut and was greeted with rude, dismissive service at check-in--as though our presence was an inconvenience. His stylist was then 15 minutes late. I understand that delays happen, but there was no acknowledgment or apology. Since it was my son's first appointment with this stylist, I introduced myself, and she also seemed put off by having to make even a brief acquaintance. I've been a loyal customer because of the experience and service Scissors & Scotch has traditionally provided, but this visit was disappointing. Service is clearly slipping, and I hope management takes notice.
