Not sure what happened. Based on the reviews I expected someone to take their time and was looking forward to a really great cut. Instead Vivian rushed my haircut so fast I was out of the chair in less than 15 minutes. Her clippers were dull and kept yanking my hair rather giving a smooth cut. The final straw was I showed her a photo of myself with the exact cut I wanted. Not only did I not get that cut, she accidentally cut the middle of my bangs so short she had to cut the sides down to even it all out. I ended up with essentially a buzz cut. Definitely not what I wanted. At least with short hair it won't take long to grow it out. read more

Moved to Colorado in 1999, been going here since then. Agree with the other reviews, this is a Man's barber shop. The TV's are always tuned to sports, the barbers talk sports, the magazines are sports magazines (mostly), and there is a lot of sports memorabilia. Jim runs a tight ship and treats his customers right. Any one of his barbers will do a great job. It is one of those true neighborhood barber shops from back in the day, where they know your name, use it and always say hello. They keep the prices reasonable by not accepting credit cards so bring your CASH and TIP well! Highly recommended. read more

Guys, these are real barbers if you are looking for a fake barbershop/cosmetologist there are plenty out there, but none will cut your hair as well. Family owned and second generation barbers. Update: I stopped coming here after several visits of listening to the barbers argue amongst each other and talk smack to me about others. I really don't want angry people holding sharp instruments standing behind me. Very nice, clean shop with plenty of seating for both those waiting and those getting trimmed. All of the barbers here are older, maybe late 30s upward. Everyone with whom I dealt here was very friendly. My barber, Eric, was great and did a fantastic job cutting my hair. He didn't rush through or rely solely upon clippers. He asked for my input/feedback at several points, which was nice. The only drawback is that it is cash only, but there's an ATM next door. read more

Foxridge Barbers was the place that I went to when I was living in Lone Tree. It's an old-school, barber-pole type shop (BRONCOS fan's paradise) that is clean, with good quality cuts by all of the barbers that I met there, although I preferred Jim (the owner's) cut and conversation the most. It's a little pricier than my current shop (Pete's) in Thousand Oaks, CA, but Foxridge DOES finish your haircut with a straight-razor on the nape and sideburns, and a quick shot of air from a compressor to clean out those straggling, itchy hairs that got cut and fell into your collar. It's a nice touch... No foo-foo fern salon, or massage parlor semi-sleaze like many other local CO shops here, just a good, fast, old-school quality cut with some down-to-earth chat time.... read more

15 years. That's how long I've been coming here. Here's what they don't do, they don't massage your neck (as they told me, we like to know our customers well, not intimately), they don't serve you drinks, and they don't wear slutty outfits. It's a man's barbershop. They use a straight razor to trim your sideburns and your neck. They can talk sports better than most radio hosts and they have a ton of sports memorabilia. This was Gary Kubiak's spot to get a trim when he was on the Bronco's staff. Ask for Jim, Scott, Eric, or Cathy, and you'll get what you came in there for, a haircut. In Florida I had the same barber for a very long time and he could cut my hair just the way I like it with ease. I have tried three places since moving to Colorado and now that I have been to Foxridge Barbers I will look no further. I get a military style flat-top which seems to send most other barbers screaming for the hills but Scott did an excellent job with it. The place has an old-time barber feel which I prefer to flashy, cheesy or sleazy which seems to be common to other barbers in the area. Go and get your man-cut. read more

I agree with everything mentioned in the previous review. I've been coming here for years. In a pinch I'll go to Scott or Jim but my barber is Ron, who is always busy because he's a great barber. Ron can talk sports but he can hold up his end of a conversation on any topic, his stories are so funny. Ron is the only reason I keep coming back. read more

I gave it a three stars because for someone somewhere this s is a great barber shop. I got a hair cut there today and it took about five minutes and cost $15.50. I think she may have been using industrial gardening tools to cut my hair. I know she cleaned me off with a leaf blower. She cut it short and shaved the edges using a dull straight razor. I asked her to keep my sides long and trim up the back. In seconds I had the kind of military cut that I expect to get at Buckley AFB. In all fairness to my barber, I should have noticed all the other customers where getting the Norman Rockwell treatment with about an inch of shaved skin showing above the ears. I should have ran out the door. But I didn't. I sat there in shock and awe and she blazed a trail through my thinning scalp then came at me with that dull razor. The best part was the hot towel on my neck and 15 second neck massage. If you want to look like that sailor in Norman Rockwell's painting "The Tattoo Artist", and you want it done quickly and cheaply...go to this place. It's not for me. They seem to only have one kind of haircut and any direction you give the barber to the contrary seems to be treated like idle conversation meant only to fill the awkward silences and not anything that the barber should be held to. I gave her a nice tip. She put her razor away and I cautiously backed out of the shop. PS. My wife laughed at the hair cut and assured me that it would all grow out soon. read more

Wish I found these guys sooner! Traditional Barbershop and walk up rarely wait, and at 4:45 PM (15 min to close) you still get a smile and - come on in! After Mario & Gail the barbers in NJ for 30 years, we moved to CO. I went from "barber shop" to "barber shop" in CO for the last few years. NIce enough people but NOT a barbershop. You all know the places I am talking about, lots of tats and piercing, which is cool if you are into it, but usually means "Stylist". Occasionally would get a decent cut but usually over priced and usually not really what I wanted, and cuts never seemed to last more than a couple weeks. Pretty old school haircut: clippers, scissors, straight-blade razor. No shampooing or hair care products. But they do a great job in cutting hair. I'm usually the youngest one there (I'm in my 30s) by a couple decades, but I've been going early mornings on weekdays. read more

I don't get my hair cut here, but my hubby does! They always do a fantastic job. In a relatively short amount of time (I only get about half to three fourths of the way through the latest gossip rag that's available), he's looking quite dapper! Awful experience. If you have a beard, don't go here. I arrived for a buzz cut which takes 10 minutes yet they charge $25 dollars. What made it worse was the "barber" took electric clippers right to my beard without asking and aggressively ran it all the way down the side my face. I sat in disbelief. You don't just take a buzzer to someone's beard and chop it up without asking. And even when you ask, it's best to take a little at a time. I've been maintaining a beard for years to keep the shape. After this I had to go home and trim it to get it to look somewhat decent. Stay away from here. Old, outdated and yet somehow inexperienced trimming breads. read more
