Supposed to be a Pizza steak with fried onions.
    Joe T.

Door dash delivery was fast, but the pizza steak is nothing like any of the ones I've had in Philly. It's basically just steak, sauce and a trace of (I think mozzarella) cheese. Came in a styrofoam container that made it soggy. I've had their cheesesteaks as well and I'm not impressed.

    Pepperoni pizza with extra cheese

Stopped in to get some pizza since we had heard of it and driven by it so many times. We walked in and there were two people in front of us. We almost left because it seemed to be taking forever for the girl to take an order. Twice she left to ask a question or to get another person's order. Then I asked the guy making pizza a question and he also ended up taking our order. Things moved swiftly after that and glad we waited. I hit a 10" white pizza and my husband got the pepperoni. They came out HOT and fresh. They were actually so hot we decided to just take them home and they would be perfect once we hot home. They were!. Both crust were cooked wonderfully, the cheese was all melted and it was fresh. I also ordered the chocolate mouse cheesecake. We didn't eat it until later, but one piece was still too big and it was delicious. We will be back. My suggestion is order ahead. It's definitely worth the wait though.

    Fingernail in sub.

Just had their Philly and the spicy Philly. Food tasted ok but we lost our appetites and had to throw it all out when my husband was chewing his food and felt something off. When he spit it out, it was a fingernail. Was told that it could be meat gristle but I felt it with my own fingers and it's not, it's a finger nail. We were offered to have the sandwiches made again or a credit for next time, but no thank you. We won't eat here again.

    Mushrooms thrown in the middle.

He wanted a big hamburger. We came in after lunch time and he got the 16 oz. burger and a side of fries (not keto or carnivore). I haven't had a potato since last Christmas and these fries looked REAL (not the frozen or processed fries most restaurants use which I wouldn't waste my time eating). I had to try a few. I wasn't hungry so I just ate a few of his fries and tried a couple bites of his burger. The fries were yummy. Almost addictive. I asked the gal at the counter about what kind of oil they used to fry potatoes in. Sadly, they use soybean oil, not tallow which is what all restaurants used pre-1980. Tallow is at least keto/carnivore friendly. My husband loved the burger minus the bun. I thought the burger was absolutely DELICIOUS. So I'm rating this 4 stars not 5 because the dirty seed oil ruined what could have been the best french fries. By the way....Steak & Shake uses tallow for frying their fries in.

Excellent Smoked Wings and Great Happy Hour Spot…read more Stopped by Broken Barrel Tavern at Palm Bay Road and Babcock and had a great experience. Service was prompt and friendly, and the happy hour specials made it an even better value. I ordered the wing basket with 8 smoked wings and onion petals. The onion petals were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the spicy remoulade sauce. For the wings, I tried both the Carolina Vinegar and the Hot Garlic flavors. The smoked wings themselves were outstanding, and the Hot Garlic sauce was especially memorable because it featured real garlic, which added incredible flavor. These are definitely wings I will come back for and highly recommend to anyone visiting. My partner ordered the BBQ pulled pork quesadillas with seasoned fries. The fries were more like freshly cut chips, nicely seasoned and delicious, and the quesadillas were excellent as well. Overall, Broken Barrel Tavern delivered great food, quick service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the Melbourne area and looking for outstanding smoked wings, this place is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

Went for lunch on a Friday and they had two servers and only one working the dining area. We sat in the very dark dining area. Every surface was painted black. Lighting was pretty poor and it was hard to read the menus. Ordered a pulled pork platter and a pulled pork sandwich. They both came with "fried chips" and the platter had another side and we chose beans. Bourbon Bbq sauce was our choice. The pork was good. Good portions on both sandwich and platter. Beans had some "heat" which I don't favor but my son really liked. The chip fries or fried chips - whichever they call them were seasoned with a garlic salt it tasted like. However they could have used about another minute I the fryer. The bigger ones were raw in the middle. May have been a byproduct of a large party in their event room throwing off their timing. But if cooked a bit more they would be a unique side for the area and good. Server was stretched thin. Freshens my son's drink but not mine until he brought the check. By then meal was over. I had water. Not difficult. Rib special looked good from a distance and I heard they are known for wings. Maybe next time. Noticed there is a private room for events that most restaurants do not have. So a point to consider.

They looked like someone opened a can of chicken, dumped it on top of tortilla chips, sprinkled on some dry, unmelted cheese, and called it a day. There was absolutely no flavor, and the cheese wasn't even melted. We also ordered the July special burger, but there was nothing "special" about it. It lacked seasoning, flavor, and any reason to order it again. Bland would be an understatement. The service didn't make the experience any better. Our waitress walked around like she had absolutely no interest in being there. When she finally came over to ask how the food was, our plates were practically untouched--we had only taken a bite or two before giving up. We politely told her the food wasn't good, and instead of showing any concern or offering a solution, she gave us a look of shock. Customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as the meal. The only highlight of the visit was my Diet Coke--cold, crisp, and refreshing. Thank goodness for that, because it was about the only thing that kept me going. Overall, I can't and won't recommend this restaurant. I genuinely hope they make some improvements, but based on this experience, we won't be back. Also the one star is because they won't allow you the option for zero stars!

Been wanting to try this place but tend to forget to come by. Facility: this is a small place located in a strip mall. There is booth seating and tables and chairs. There's even a little bar corner that has 3 tall bar seats. Ordering is a little confusing as the counter is not the place you go to... that's only if you are paying. Instead it's over by the buffet serving section. Then you go back to that counter to pay. Service: The lady was polite. She seemed overworked as she is the one taking orders, making food, helping tables, and checking people out. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. Be warned they are only open Wed through Sunday and their hours change most days, but it's like 12-5pm. Food: I ordered two lunch specials ... Chicken leg with Cole slaw and beans for my grandma.... I didn't try the sides, but the chicken looked amazing and a little sauce got on my finger and it was very good. I got the catfish 4.5/5, potato salad 3/5, and some extra sides to check them out... cabbage 4/5, fried okra 5/5 and mac and cheese 3.5/5. We also got mini sweet potato pie 4.5/5 and some peach cobbler (my grandma is saving this for tonight). Overall: This place is good. I will be back to try more things.
