The smoked turkey is smoked to perfection and retains it's juicy goodness. The sides are also very good with green beans and brisket baked beans are go to's. The drive thru ordering and pick up are seem-less and easy. On occasion I add a couple rib bones as an appetizer. But I must admit the real reason I love stopping at City BBQ is for the pickles!! Their crunchy deliciousness is crazy good!

Guys, what happened?…read more When I had to explain what my rewards club card was some years ago, I was kind of puzzled...the person acted like she had never seen one before. I found out that had been quietly discontinued (fortunately the balance was still there.) Then the hot sauces vanished. That was a sad day. Then the hush puppies changed. They went from these giant tender balls of cornmeal with stuff in it to oscillating back and forth between little blobs of overcooked whatever to small, hard crunchy balls of flavorless nothing. They used to be magically delicious, the last ones I had may as well as been balls of deep-fried bread. I didn't finish my portion of them. I remember the first time I went in and got a container of what looked like oversized burnt party snaps and went what is this? The baked beans went from sticky sweet gives-you-diabeetus treats to just kind of, I don't even know what you'd call them. The last ones I had were more vinegar than brown sugar. I used to just buy pints of these beans for dinner and eat them, the last ones I had were not even as good as what you'd get from a can and I almost didn't finish these. The only saving grace was the decent sized chunks of brisket in them...which also had no smoke flavor to speak of. And the meat...I used to love the pulled pork. You'd go in to the store, eat, and come out smelling like smoked meat both from the smoke in the store and smoke on your sandwich. This last time? If that was smoked then I'm a boar myself. No smoke flavor at all. Not even on my hands after I was done eating it. I mean, the meat was ok but it was absolutely nothing special. It needed sauce for flavor and this meat never used to need sauce. I'm just really disappointed with what I had on my last visit. The person I went with was much less friendly when telling me what he thought about the visit. I can overlook prices going up, I know stuff's expensive - but you were literally not a whole lot better than the pulled pork sandwich from the hot case at Duchess. There's simply no reason for me to come back. I've been giving you chances over the past few years, but every time I come into a store (any of them!) the quality and taste of the food has slipped just a little further. Sorry guys. It's not me...you've changed. Looks to me like you've added a few mirrors to the smoking process.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

The bread was in a silver aluminum pan sealed up so I didn't think to check it before getting home. It's bread. You can't mess up those amazing dinner rolls. I was wrong. Made it home to enjoy our Anniversary dinner and my chicken is burned, small portion and the rolls are dark brown hard as a rock. Shame on the kitchen manager for not catching this mishap and allowing food to leave the kitchen like this. The chicken was so small it looked like a piece for a kids meal. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with brown gravy. It was good and crispy. The sides were warm. My broccoli and sweet potato was good. The sweet potato was still hot and didn't need to be heated back up. I did notice everything was checked off and correct from the checklist on the bag, example... ranch, butter,. Silverware etc. The customer service at the window was slow but they had a pleasant attitude and smiled. Today is my 11th wedding anniversary and let's just say we wanted a quiet evening with Texas Roadhouse at home with some nice wine. The Anniversary dinner was ruined but we made it work. I ate the other piece of my husband chicken fried chicken.

The hostess told me to have a seat and relax, since it was a surprise for me and all would be taken care of. Although we were among the first tables to arrive, I watched more and more tables placing their food orders. I went to the bar twice to ask if my order to be place and was told that someone would come to my table. After an uncomfortable wait, our order was finally taken. It was 45 minutes before our food arrived and my order was incomplete. My wife's order hadn't arrived at all. I ordered the Golden Fried Perch which was supposed to come with cut fries and grilled corn on the cob. I asked for mashed potatoes as an alternative. The fish was a very small, overcooked portion which wasn't tasty at all. I had to ask for utensils, as well as tartar sauce. The tartar sauce never came. My friend went back to the kitchen to get it for me. The corn was not "on the cob", but rather in a bowl was pretty dry. Meanwhile, we waited and waited for my wife's order of wings. She eventually told the server to cancel the wings and was informed that they were on their way, at no charge. My friend told her that he didn't expect to pay for my meal either (he was treating). We were also disappointed because the group only performed for about an hour, even though they were listed for much longer. One member showed up about 15 minutes after the show started. Many customers were upset because they felt cheated out of the money they paid for the show. (Just recently, the restaurant announced an encore presentation with free entry for those who had tickets for the original show) Although the wings were delicious, I was extremely disappointed in my meal, particularly the fish. I usually assume that it's an isolated event, but, coupled with the other miscues, I didn't have a very good time. Here's hoping that things pick up in the near future.

And we got there at 9pm. In addition, the venue was old and needed an immediate update. The food was so so. Like who wants to buy food when you had to pay so much to get in. Drinks were pricey. Definitely a rip-off restaurant. Will not go again. I felt like hiring chef Ramsay for them to help them have a complete make over.
