You bought a house but it was not disclosed to you that there was a problem with the plumbing, so you have to take it upon yourself to call your own plumber, but when they guys show up, they immediately ask they can use your bathroom and for over two hours they take turns going in and out of there taking huge mud pies and over flushing, then they go in there together and you hear a bunch of scrounging around and then you hear a bunch of yelling, and one of them is standing in the bathroom doorway shouting at you that his friend's foot's stuck in the toilet, and he says "help him! You gotta help him!" And when you go in there to help him he just pulls it out easily and laughs because his foot wasn't stuck. It wasn't stuck at all he was just faking it. And then they get really serious and say "It's turbo time!" and they both start running around the house as fast as they can and jumping over the couches, but when you try and jump in they yell at you and they say "YOU'RE NOT PART OF THE TURBO TEAM! DON'T RUN. YOU DON'T RUN WITH US! WE'RE THE ONES WHO RUN! UNTIL YOU'RE PART OF THIS TURBO TEAM, WALK... SLOWLY!" . So you go and lay down to be by yourself and read your art books, but then the next day you went to the bathroom and it looked like the hole in your toilet had shrunk. You said, "How could that be? There's no way they could have shrunk the toilet." but then you saw in the trash, a receipt from Home Depot for a toilet the exact same size as yours, but with a joke hole that's just for farts! They replaced your real toilet with a fart toilet! And now you can't take a dump in your house, cause your toilet can't suck them down, and you feel sick to your stomach! Guy told me he was at the beach and couldn't help me until Mon. Anyways they took my info and confirmed I was under warranty and my heater will be replaced but I ll have to pay $450 labor. I had no choice but agree to it. Mon morning they called and told me they had a flat tire but will be there and eventually they did arrive later that morning. Since my basement has a new carpet and my young children play there, I requested them to put shoe coverings on. This is where the problem started with their attitude. They said, they didn't have any shoe covering and their shoes were 'clean'. Many Asian/South Asians don't bring outdoor shoes inside the house. I offered them new plastic bags to put on their shoes but they refused to do so and angrily left the house saying you should get it done from someone else. At that time, my wife intervened and requested them to come back inside with their shoes and said we ll get it clean later. living in NJ, they should know not everyone wears outside shoes on inside carpet. They should have shoe coverings as contractors and refusing to help work with the customer was just bizarre. My wife put whatever sheets she could find to cover the way but it's a large area and didn't cover everything besides they didn't seem to want to wait. I worked with them and waited a couple of days without hot water. I didn't push them to send a backup plumber or didn't negotiate the labor cost but their uncooperative and frankly grumpy attitude left a bad taste.

Another plumber referred by a friend came and took a look after and safely assessed that the water heater was still working and safe to use and he re-lit the pilot light for me for $75. The other plumber actually laughed out loud when I told him the estimate that Adam gave me. He could not believe that I was given an estimate of $1900 for labor to install a 50 gallon water heater that cost about $750. Always comparison shop, ALWAYS.
