Firehouse Rotisserie - Fresh flowers on the table and a water pitcher all to ourselves

After some browsing for a few blocks, we came across Firehouse Rotisserie and decided to give it a try! First off, the restaurant is in a very beautiful, charming, old building. The building, like this city, seems to ooze wisdom and history! On to the food! I decided to go with the rotisserie chicken with potatoes and other veggies on the side. It was soooo flavorful, tender, and juicy! Seriously! And it was a very filling and hearty meal that fueled our further sightseeing for the day. Service was quick and friendly as well. I highly recommend stopping by and trying the rotisserie chicken!

My sister and I are a bit picky, but I'd had this spot marked for months in preparation for our trip to Bath as one of the few restaurants that had something we'd both eat, and boy did it turn out. We split the margarita pizza and a side of asparagus, which the chef ran all the way upstairs to make sure they had, -- it was so good. Possibly the best asparagus I've ever had, and we were stoked to get some veggies with dinner. The pizza crust was perfectly thin and crispy, but thick enough at the end to really sink your teeth into. Fresh basil and expertly roasted tomatoes (absolutely bursting with flavor) made for an off the charts margarita. It's hard to go wrong here but, this one really knocked it out of the park. Seating was quick, though we were on the earlier side, with water pitcher all to ourselves, which we love to get, and very clean well kept restrooms! -- though not very accessible, you must climb four flights of stairs. Try Mr. B's Emporium of Reading Delights if you have time before or afterwards, which is a beautiful and well stocked bookstore right across the street. Definitely stop by if you're in town, this one was a win! (Try the chocolate ice cream).

We walked in to the restaurant to find it was practically busy (granted it was a Saturday night). Normally when you walk into frankie and bennys your greated in a positive manner but last night we got far from that. After asking for a table for two the lady confusingly looked around and without any type of dialogue, or smile, she just walked off. We assumed to just follow her then when we got to the table she just walked off with no dialogue, didn't offer us anything which made it very impersonal. For our starters we had mozzarella sticks which were lacking any cheese at all. And the calamari was too crispy and tasteless. We had a 15" Italian hot pizza for a main and chicken and mushroom pasta. The pizza was undercooked. Like really undercooked. At first glance it looked like a great pizza but after one bite all you could taste was the soft uncocked dough which was still mouldable. The pizza fell apart and I struggled to eat any of it. We were told they did have a brand new kitchen in which could explain the change in the usual good food. But overall the meal and experience was lacking satisfaction and we came away very disappointed and wished we ate somewhere else. Thankyou ZP.

You know what you're getting into with F&B, I like it despite the sometimes confusing menu but when…read morei was looking for dinner on my own I thought why not? Well I'm sorry to say I wasn't impressed. The place was not busy, there seemed to be 3 serving staff on plus a drinks waiter. None acknowledge me when I walked in and after a good 3 or 4 mins of standing there the drinks waiter assured me someone would be with me. I waited. A party of 4 turned up and he did the same to them. A waitress appeared and without acknowledging me, took the party of 4 to a table. I waited. I was left standing there like a lemon. I should have left then but I persevered and another waitress showed me to a booth and left me with a menu before I could order a beer. I spent the next 10 minutes trying to order at least a beer as others were shown to seats and offered a drink. Eventually I managed to catch the eye of the waitress who had shown me to my seat and I was able to order - although it was clear she didn't know the menu so I ended up pointing at things - I don't think her English was especially bad although it didn't seem to be her first language so I was patient. I'd almost finished my beer by the time the food came. It wasn't until I was half way through the plate that I realised no one had brought me any sauces, I tried to catch the eye of a waiter but I was finished eating before anyone showed any interest. All the time the restaurant was less than half full. I'm Wrote this over my beer at 8:30 on a Weds evening so hardly peak. The food was just OK not very tasty, not bad but nothing special. Not sure if I was just feeling unloved at that stage. I ordered another beer, it arrive just as I was finishing my meal. Got to say I was disappointed at this F&B. I did the only thing we Brits can do, I said nothing, paid the bill and shock horror, left no tip. That's the first time I've done that for years. I won't be back here again in a hurry, it's left me disappointed in F&B. 2 stars because 1 seems harsh but I was tempted.

They do have a prime spot next to the Premier Inn (which I stayed in) and just down the road from the Cheltenham Police Station. The food was of a good standard, as you'd expect. I think I had the boneless chicken wings which came with a rather nice blue cheese sauce. The service was relatively quick although I got seated under the AC first off and asked to move which prompted a bit of a strange look but they complied with my request. I'd visit again but only if I were staying at the Premier Inn again and only because there's not much else when you've been travelling all day.

First time was perfectly fine - good service, reasonable length of time, decent food, child-friendly. Second time was a nightmare! Had to wait 45 mins for a table despite there being dozens of empty tables available. Had some severely watered down Diet Coke (which I complained about and was told there was nothing wrong with itthen overheard barman tell his mate I was right, it tasted like sh*te!) then waited another 45 mins before the starters arrived. Food for 2 of us was burnt. Despite all odds, the service we received from our waitress was excellent, we all felt sorry for her, as it wasn't her fault there weren't enough staff. Not the worst in the world but there's definitely far better. Like Zizzis!

Looking for some American diner style breakfast/brunch spot, Seth S. and I decided to check out…read moreCelebz since another brunch place was closed. The Celebz concept is based on a kitschy stereotype of Americana with quintessential foods like burgers, waffles, fries and milkshakes. I love a good bit of kitsch but Celebz seemed to hit all the wrong notes. The blaring music, loud colors, and cold interior left me feeling like I was on Sunset Strip after a late-night bender in search of greasy garbage to cure my hangover. The vibe, encouraged by Rhianna screaming "bitch better have my money," was starkly contrasted by a grouping of families with small children. Womp womp. When placing our order we learned that the milkshake deal (+£2) advertised with the burgers only applies to the burger meal, requiring you to spend £9 for a sandwich and milkshake, with or without fries. Seth S. got the burger but skipped the milkshake and I decided to get some pancakes and twisty fries instead. Seth's burger and my fries were delivered to the table fairly quickly, but we were almost finished eating before my pancakes arrived. I was disappointed that the pancakes were crepes not American style pancakes in an American themed restaurant, but that's neither here nor there. The twisty fries were perfect - just like some of my favorite from a greasy spoon in NC. The crepe presentation was nice but the flavor underwhelming. Too much egg was used in the batter, and the egg flavor overshadowed the Belgian chocolate drizzle and strawberry filling. If you're in search of an authentic Vegas hangover cure, this is the place for you!

Located over by Aston uni campus this place is a bit out of the way but when looking for a late night sweet myself and a friend took a wonder over here to see what it was all about. Now I know this place will not be for everyone, it's loud and in your face in terms of design with pictures of the USA and celebrities on the walls. The menu is made up of a range of popular American classics like burgers, milkshakes, pancakes, cookie dough and ice cream. We decided to go for nachos and a cookie dough dessert to share which were both surprisingly good. The nachos had the guacamole and salsa on the side instead of being all over top which is great for a condiment lover like me! The thing that I love about this place is you can easily sit a chill for a few hours eating and drinking on a quiet weekend night off the booze (dry Jan seemed like a good idea at the time) if you are looking for a place to get something sweet with a good range of options this is a great option in the city centre.
