Otherwise, I would definitely not recommend it at all. The storage itself is on a hill, so it's pretty steep to get up/down. When I went to rent it, the guy was like oh yeah, we salt and something about having heated concrete so that people can get into it all year. Yeah... neither of those is true. So many times the place was closed due to ice/snow. They do get you in with the special pricing. However... in the year and 3 months I was there, they raised the rent FOUR times. So basically quarterly. So it went from $100 to $250. Everyone I talked to had never heard of a storage unit raising it so many times in one year. There was no lighting in the unit, and not in the best area of town, so I'm not sure why it needed to raise that much. At one point I found a couple brown recluses and cockroaches in my unit (no, I didn't have food in there and there was none where I moved my stuff from). I lined the doorway and such with roach poison and used one of those foggers and thankfully I didn't see any more after that. I've gone through all my things and also thankful that I've seen none... but still not fun and spending the money on that stuff is not ideal. I guess lastly for now, is the lack of being able to get ahold of anyone in the office. I would leave messages (because they never actually answered the phone (it would automatically go to voicemail every time) and never could I get anyone to call me back. I will say, the corporate customer service line of the company was good and I always got further with them than trying to go through the office. So one small pro with this company. Overall, I was so incredibly frustrated and I woul dhave left long before if I'd had the ability to move my things before I did. I do not recommend this place at all. Go pretty much anywhere else is my suggestion!

I kept updated on my payments and abided by the contract…read more In May I checked the unit and found many of the boxes were wet and items ruined with moisture and mold. when I called the office to complain, the manager asked "is that the unit with a hole in the roof?" unlike myself who abided by the contract. Public storage rented me a unit knowing it had a leak in the roof. They committed fraud when they failed to have full faith and disclosure when renting the unit. The manager became argumentative when asked why they would know rent a unit with a hole in the roof. she said it was an old building and they have problems. When corporate was contacted, they acted concerned, created a "ticket", said they'd get back to me in one day. That was a week ago. As for my damaged property? The manager said turn it into insurance and washed their hands of the whole the whole thing.

I never worried about my storage unit being broken in to and it never was. The manager, I forget her name but she was always very nice and even when my friend accidentally broke off my key while it was In the lock (long story) she offered to replace my lock for free when she didn't have to (and it was the most expensive lock they sell). I may have been late paying rent a couple of times but the manager was always kind and helpful. The manager deserves to be promoted, give her a corporate job. She's surpassed her duties as a location manager. The only down side of this public storage is that it's not in the best location but it's always been secure and I've never seen or heard of any problems. The only they could of done better is give me a discount as I rented from them for as long as I did hahah. 9/10 rating overall.
