I hired Mr. Storobin last minute for a case involving a serious custody dispute with the father of my children. I had filed for temporary emergency custody and I needed representation. My ex-wife filed a child custody case against me in New York where we lived before divorcing in 2014. In 2015, I moved back to Florida where I was raised, but my ex then decided that since I left NYC, I no longer get to see my daughter because she said I abandoned her by moving. I reached out to David Storobin based on a recommendation from a friend of mine who was also his client in the past. I must admit that he made a terrible process less miserable than I expected. I didn't have to fly to New York to go to court, he filed the paperwork to allow me to be on the phone here in Florida while David was present in court. I needed a prenuptial agreement and Mr. Storobin came highly recommended by my friend who previously used him on another family court matter. My prenup was complicated because my wife wanted protection in case we're married for a long time, but I didn't want to be stuck with a burden of paying her after a 6 months marriage. Long story short, we negotiate a prenup contract, Mr. Storobin drafts it. Not even a year later, the marriage falls apart and she tries to attack the prenup so she gets my money. Upon review by the judge, the prenup was upheld and I paid her nothing. Then she arrests me for fake domestic violence charges because she was trying to get my money. I called Mr. Storobin for criminal defense. It took a bunch of court appearances, more than I was happy with to be fair, but eventually it was dismissed because he filed a speedy trial motion and the judge ruled that the prosecutor took too much time, so the criminal case was dismissed. Terrible experience for me, but I was able to escape because of the legal help I got in court and because the prenup was properly drafted so it stood up in court. read more

Despite of all that David was a true warrior in the courtroom and in the negotiations with the opponent's lawyer. I initially only had safe horizon supervised visitation, and many false accusations mounted on against me. David is a very reasonable man and will work with you on payment at times. I had a disappointing experience with David Storobin for my child custody case. The initial paperwork was never filed with the courts, leading to delays and confusion. Communication was severely lacking, with no guidance on the process or what to expect. During court, David remained silent instead of speaking up for me even when the respondent failed to show up, prolonging the ordeal unnecessarily. In the last court session, he lost connection to the virtual room, causing further delays. There is a serious lack of communication, responsiveness, and urgency with this lawyer. I had a complicated prenup agreement that required long negotiations. David gave me a flat fee and did not ask for more even after it took way more hours than originally expected. I can honestly say that he fought hard for me and we arrived at a settlement my gf and I can live with.
