My family won custody of my niece, and I am beyond grateful for the Attorney Lutzky who guided me and my family through this emotional and complex journey. After my sister's passing suddenly, my mother stepped in to care for my niece and when her previously absent father filed for custody, we so needed strong, professional representation. Mr. Lutzky handled every detail with professionalism, clarity, and care. His team of professionals in office, helped with preparation and facilitation of all paperwork with ease. Because of their expertise, my niece has been able to remain home where she belongs. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Lutzky to anyone in need of dedicated and effective legal representation. ZERO STARS -- BEWARE! Avoid this lawyer at all costs. He dragged my divorce case out for two years, never reviewed paperwork, and kept demanding payment while doing absolutely nothing. I paid over $20,000 in just four months before realizing he was stalling and completely incompetent. I had to dismiss him just to move my case forward. He preys on clients during their most vulnerable times, takes their money, and leaves them out to dry. I wish I had read a review like this before hiring him -- learn from my mistake! read more

I was getting a lot of harassing calls about debt I owed, some were mine that got out of control with late fees on top of fees and others I had no knowledge of. I came to the realization that I could not afford any of these bills. After researching bankruptcy lawyers in the NY area, I decided to go with Jayson Lutzky after our initial consultation because I found him to be knowledgeable in the bankruptcy area and at the same time he was teaching me about my options. We filed chapter 7 and I couldn't be more pleased. No more harrasing calls, no more stress over worrying about how I'm going to pay this debt, and no more credit cards period! Thank you Jayson and team for helping me achieve a fresh start read more

I had presented Jay with a very complex divorce case that was not confined to the US only, but also extended to another foreign country, hence the complexity. I have selected Jay's firm based on recommendation from a friend who had sort his firm's services nearly twenty years ago. He very highly recommended Jay that I did not hesitate going to him. Trust me, I was never disappointed. Outcome was very good, especially, the case haven started with my back to the wall. The outcome has very much lifted tons of weight off my shoulder. Mr Lutzky's handling of my case was extraordinary, and always had a firm, but calming approach to my issues and concerns. Thank you much, Mr Lutzky and all of your staff. read more

To describe my last year as being chaotic, confusing and insufferable does not come even close. I was going through issues with my ex-husband for years and we had irreconcilable differences. Deciding to put an end to it presented with many obstacles and I honestly didn't know how to navigate through it all. I came across Mr. Jayson Lutsky's Law Firm and sought out his advice and it was the best decision I've made. Looking through his reviews and meeting him in person gave me a sense of relief as he understood many things before I even had the chance to convey them. Compared to other law firms, he will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. This is crucial as to prepare you well for the upcoming battle. He gave me advice regarding the legal process and assured me along the way to not overthink and to take it one step at a time. I kid you not this was one of the best advices he's given me. Going through a divorce can be strenuous taking a toll on you physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. Mr. Lutsky walked me through the process, and was very patient with me along the way. As we near the conclusion to my case, I am pleased to say that I could not hope for a better outcome considering the circumstances. My child is with me and I am able to spend my days with him seeing him grow up. I have peace of mind and can move on with my life. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the support he and his law firm has given. Would strongly recommend him to anyone in search of a family lawyer! read more

First and foremost, when looking for a lawyer read reviews even the bad ones because you will be left wondering if you made a good decision picking this lawyer. I hired Jayson well over a year ago and needless to say in the beginning during our first consultation he portrayed himself as someone who was going to help you and gave me and my wife hope. My wifes ex husband dragged us into court for a year and half over summer visitation with their daughter. Jay told us we need to train her ex husband like a dog. As funny as it may seem, he was as quiet as a mouse in court. Made side deals with the opposing counsel, negotiated our contributions from 25% to 34% knowingly we were below poverty lines and my wife was unemployed and in school full-time and I made under 40K a year. Whilst her ex made over 100K - do the math it doesn't make any sense. Because we were in court almost every month racked up over 10K in lawyer fees. I realise this is how it works, the lawyers work together to prolong the court cases to squeeze every dollar out of you - Hence why the Judge only looked at the petition after 8 court cases and not in the beginning. The nail in the coffin for me and my wife was when Jay sent me an invoice for his services to fill out a piece of paper for $350 - we managed to find a non profit who had a lawyer looked it over and fill out for free. And once we returned the letter to Jay, his response was that I owe him for his services because he went behind our back and colluded with the opposing counsel and made a deal. It broke our trust. In addition, I paid for court appearances and he didn't show up on two occasions. I would rather wash my hands from this lawyer than contest with overpaying for his service. We terminated his services in front of the Judge and got ourselves a free attorney because of my income. If you fall in the same boat of low income, I advise you to ask for a free lawyer in court - know your rights trust me. This is a review, my personal experience with Jayson. He is more than happy to take your money, and less likely to help you with your case or inquiries. That being said: Would I use this lawyer? No. Would I recommend his services to anyone? No. read more

You get what you pay for! I've been in the process of my UNCONTESTED divorce for SIX months and counting. The court has sent the papers back three times for corrections. If Mr. Lutzky and his team were competent, the papers would've been done correctly the first time. I continue to follow with their office and the court to make sure everything is in order because things seem to fall through the cracks. By way of example, last week someone "forgot" to take my papers in to the court and I had to wait another week... UNACCEPTABLE! I rarely ever write reviews, even less bad ones because i understand running a business is hard, but I can not in good conscience let other people go through this bullshit. btw, I HAVE NEVER SPOKEN TO MR. LUTZKY, only his staff. read more

Enthusiastic, more than willing to answer all my questions and even proposed alternatives. Super helpful!

I have known Mr. Jayson Lutzky for over 20 years he's very professional and reliable attorney. He does an excellent job and I always recommend him to anyone that needs an attorney in his field of work. He also has a great team of paralegal. read more

At the beginning he will tell you that he could do a lot and you feel like u in the right place but after you pay him he won't do anything to you he don't even listen to you after that or answer your phone calls he is the worse lawyer so I don't recommend him at all. read more

I consulted with Mr. Lutzy regarding a family law matter. He had office hours on a Saturday, which was super convenient for me. I explained my situation, and he gave me very sound advice which set my mind at ease. He has a kind, intelligent approach to the law. I had an excellent experience with Jayson Lutzky, he represented me in a child support case. I felt a huge sense of relief after contacting him and discussing my situation. He is thorough, understands the law and financials very well, and overall gave me great advice and equally great support in the court room. I highly recommend using him for his legal services. Thanks, Jayson! read more

The absolute worst. At times I did not know if Jayson was working for me or the defendant. Every time I called for an update, receptionists were not friendly and definitely lacked customer service. You MAY experience amazing customer service until they receive their money for services and then you're alone waiting and wondering. Just received my documents that were copies of copies as well as a letter apologizing for the quality of the documents and where I must go to get a better document. ARE YOU KKIDDING ME? Isn't that what I paid for?! Apart from that, I received the documents 2 weeks after it was filed. Avoid at all cost. read more

Was stressed out over 2 similar tickets. Received amazing advice during no charge consultation. Feel much better about the situation. He spelled out the specifics of why and what I can and can't do about the situation, then he put a plan together for me that gave me peace of mind. Ultimately I may not need him to go to court for me, so great advice considering it was no charge. Highly recommend. read more

I'm dealing with an ill Family member, and needed some help. So I found Jayson Lutzky and he was very helpful. Was able to answer all my questions and gave me some more information. I had a child support case years ago, around 2003, and he bragged how good he was. Well, my ex-wife without an attorney, embarrassed him, he was left speechless, I spoke on my behalf. Needless to say, I lost the case and the judge dropped the hammer on me. It was a case to adjust the child support and I have been pain $1,200 for 17 years and counting. I can honestly say that Jayson lutzky absolutely sucks as an attorney and I will never use his Services again, neither will my family or any friends of mine. Don't believe him at all. He can suck my balls. read more

I deeply regret taking my mom to this attorney. He's extremely insentive and offensive. His response to everything is "I don't care". He will cut you off mid sentence. He criticized my mother instead of simply expressing the potential weaknesses of her case. He made it a point the finger. I'm sure he has biases but also very willing to quickly take your money. He doesn't seem to understand that he's there to represent a client, not sit there and argue with you, which is exactly what he did. He's awful, please take your time, money and energy elsewhere. read more

This man is the absolute WORST LAWYER EVER. My biggest mistake was hiring this clown to represent me regarding a custody case. This is what happens when you cannot afford a good lawyer. Now the lawyers I hired have to work twice as hard because of how bad this man screwed up. I wish I could give him a negative 1 star but I can't. For anyone reading this DO NOT go to him. He will only keep prolonging cases to get more money out of you AND he will not use any of the useful information you give him. He is too busy speaking to listen to anything you have to say and when you go to court he is quiet as a church mouse. Some occasions I had to reiterate things that I had already told him several times. This only means this man did not do his homework and showed up unprepared. I will NEVER use him again and I urge everyone to find a different lawyer. ANYONE BUT HIM ! read more

I was pleased with Jayson's work. His fees were reasonable (or at least compared to the other lawyers I interviewed before starting my case with him). I was also really happy with my consultation. Jayson told me the legal reality that I needed to hear. so I'm really glad I chose him. He was accessible and his staff was really friendly. When my court date came, he fought for me and got results. I won't go into the details of my case here on Yelp, but I can tell you that I have recommended Jayson to friends and they were happy with his work too. read more

Today I went in to my scheduled appointment with Jayson Lutzky for a divorce I am looking to proceed with and I had high expectations based on high reviews from different websites. After coming in today the receptionist started off very unprofessional and unorganized. I gave her the information she asked for but upon asking for my social security number which I refused she began to get an attitude because I did not provide that information for her. I do not give out my social unless I am actually hiring him as my lawyer which I explained to her. She then got up went to the back of the office and while walking there she started cursing in Spanish saying the word stupid (which I know b/c I am Cuban) and she came back with her supervisor. I explained to her supervisor what I told the receptionist and the receptionist interrupted her supervisor and said listen lady your acting crazy just give my the social. I said no and asked her to lower her voice. Then Jayson L came to the front of the office to see what was happening and the receptionist stormed out the office saying "Stupid Bitch" in Spanish. I told Jayson L that this is unprofessional behavior and how can I conduct an interview with his offices issues. Jayson L then told me " Maybe you should find another lawyer" within in seconds of meeting me and did not offer an apology or reassurance to me. Thank you for wasting my time which is money and I came from Westchester based on the reviews. Horrible experience........ read more
