We have…read moreenjoyed basketballs leagues, indoor soccer leagues, one season of baseball, and one season of tackle football. For Topeka, it is the best place for youth to be involved in sports. Leagues are affordable. They assist you in finding a team for you child if you need one. There is also great diversity in players and coaches. They have a great concession stand that is hardly ever closed, even if there are only a few games going on. For the most part, the reffing is great, and if there is an issue, you can always talk to someone up front and they get you connected to the person you need to talk to who will then take the time to watch part of the game.

There are several things that make a business successful but two rather important factors is…read morecleanliness and hospitality. This place suffers with both. First, the BB court my daughter played on has limited seating for parents. It is necessary to sit right outside the restrooms providing unpleasant smells all day. I think that is why they decided not to turn on the heat - to kill the germs. The second is that the people that run this are very unpleasant. I am all for establishing guidelines, especially when there are large amounts of juveniles. However, there is a nice and polite way to enforce them and then there is the way they do it here - "Get off that court it is not open right now. If you want to warm up go pay the rental fee at the concession stand." Hopefully we can avoid this place in the future.

If a student voices a concern to administration that is someone that will actually listen and try to help their hands are slapped for helping and they are either told to "stay in their lane" or they somehow no longer work there. No wonder it takes 6 years for half of their students to graduate with a bachelor's and almost half drop out after 4 years without a degree. They are getting Federal $'s for most all of these students #moneyhustle. Do your own research my stats came from https://www.collegefactual.com/colleges/washburn-university/academic-life/graduation-and-retention/chart-graduation-rate.html. Also, LLC is in serious need of renovation between the black mold and cock roaches but yet they build the new President a new Hollywood house. All under the claim that the tech students built the house and it was funded by donors HA, perhaps those "donors" would have preferred the money go to students to have decent livable housing. RANT OVER but could say so much more!

My wife and I had visited just a couple of times before things shutdown and were worried how they would make it through. Before last night we had seen two films in both the Grand Screen theatre and one of the "regular" theatres. In both rooms the seats are incredible with power recline and leg rests. As a special treat for our anniversary last night, my wife and I decided to try the MX4D experience (seats with motion and special effects like wind, etc.) for the new Bond movie. It was a riot! I'm not saying I would like to see every film in that format, but for that type of action film it was perfect. When we arrived last night I ran into a good friend who wasn't even there to see a movie. Apparently on Friday nights they are using their big bar and reception area for free live music performances by local artists! Good on the folks who run this place for bringing this great facility to Topeka!

The trash is always overflowing and the counters are filthy. The restrooms are disturbing, many of the recliner chairs are broken, dirty, ripped, sticky... Every time something is brought up to the staff for their attention, you have to wait for them to get off their cell phone before they acknowledge your existence... and then they say they will take care of it and do absolutely nothing about it. very disappointing.
