I also explained that nothing was packed and we had exactly eight hours to get in and out with her belongings. That people would be there packing and my sister would direct them what to move. We would have a Uhaul in the driveway and just needed movers to fill the Uhaul. Moving day came and three men showed up. The owner, who I made the plans with was not present. The men seemed to grumble among themselves that the garage was dirty. Most of the stuff boxed in the garage had been there a few years. They started moving some of the boxes off of the garage shelves. Still grumbling. One man said "We are used to working for rich people." This was repeated more than once. It was about an hour and fifteen minutes in and the men said their boss wanted me to call him. The owner said the men did not want to work in this dusty environment. I asked if they could at least get the nine pieces of furniture from in the house as we were on a time crunch. They said they would. When I asked the men to go in to the house and get the furniture they said they were already off the clock. It had been one hour and twenty minutes at this time. They left, leaving me to hassle to get one of the young men who had came to help to call some of his friends. I get that they guys decided they did not want to do the job. What I do not get and why this is a low review is that the owner still charged me a total of $956.21. The original $100 plus $856.21 after his men walked off the job after one hour and twenty minutes. Keeping in mind most of that time they spent grumbling and not really doing anything. Are you kidding me? I messaged the owner multiple times saying why are you charging my credit card this amount when you did not do the job we hired you for. They walked off the job, I should not be paying. Additionally, when I got an email invoice they actually charged me for a truck. I had my own truck. He added a charge for providing a truck. I sent multiple emails and texts and received no answer. Because of this, and me having to scramble to find other help we were not able to get all of the belongings that we wanted to recover in the eight hour window that the mortgage company gave us to get our belongings. AND he charged me $956.21 for a job they did not fulfill. I finally filed a dispute with my credit card. I disputed all but $285.41 which was the prorated charge for the hour and twenty minutes. I figured I owed for that but not for the rest. The dishonesty shown here was crazy. Almost $1000 they charged me for not doing the job! I ended up scrambling to find young men to help who I ended up paying cash even after this company charged me $956.21. My credit card company awarded my dispute and was given a refund of $670.80. I would not have received this without filing a dispute. I rarely leave a poor review. I would not have left a poor review based solely on the men walking off the job, but for them to walk off the job AND still charge me $956.21 and to see that he had tried to charge me for a truck that they did not provide?? Crazy. I would NOT recommend this company. Thank God I have a great credit card company who honored my dispute.
