    Pepper soup

So I was in London for Halloween month "October" and after drifting the on bond street for hrs I decided to try out Stork. From the Entrance the Ambience was amazing, really stick to theme decor even down to the bathroom stalls. For an African cuisine restaurant I was impressed. Now let's talk food and drinks I ordered a starter drink of Chapman and it was made beautifully I gave me vibes of my teenage years back home in Nigeria It had been ages since I tried Chapman and I loved it . For starters I had the pepper soup and also ordered the grilled chicken and boy they were fire! both great. Our server was amazing as well and he good recommendations. For main course I had the jollof rice and red sauce the portion of the red sauce was worth the price I couldn't even finish it I had to get a to-go box. The rice on the other hand I'll give it a 6/10 for effort not as good but it was ok. In general I'll definitely visit again when in London. And I 100% recommend

Fabi accommodated a last minute reservation and both she and the waiter were on stellar from start to finish of my dining experience. I literally cannot say enough good things about this experience, and I have the privilege of many fine dining restaurants. It was unbelievably memorable! Refer to my pictures but my favorite was the cucumber cocktail, jerk wing appetizer (ordered well done/crispy), Suya main course and the plantains. I also ordered the curry goat and Jollof Rice but wasn't a big fan of these two. I gave my driver the left overs and he was so excited to try it. This was literally the best Suya I've ever had, and I'd return a thousand times over. They even followed up by email to thank me, and offer future private dining options. Just wow!!!

Receipt from our terrible dining experience

I visited Stork Mayfair on 10/1 with my mother. It was suppose to be our final dinner of our 3-city European trip and it ended on a sour note. Things look lovely on the inside but the server was terrible. English wasn't his first language (it's not ours either), but I don't think he was hearing us. And then he straight up lied about our food order (see below). For food, we ordered the salted fish and yam cakes, okra fritter, jollof rice, ras el hanout and the red snapper (everything listed in the receipt) - which was suppose to be a whole fish and plantain. Instead what we were served was a jumbo plantain. When I questioned the waiter he told me that the red snapper is not on the menu. Now explain to me why you'd have something on the menu and also allow me to order it if it was in fact not on the menu. They last minute offered to prepare bass to replace the main part of the dish. They still charged me the full price for a subpar meal. We didn't get dessert. They didn't even offer to make the situation right so from a service perspective terrible. A very disappointing experience. I should've raised hell but I'll just do it through my creditor. Unfortunately I didn't get full pics of the replacement fish when it came out because at that point we'd waited so long and were just ready to finally eat. What a wasted experience. We had a better meal at Nandos. But if you're looking for something really nice check out Papa L's, we had good service and food there.

    Delicious!

What a stunning restaurant! Great drinks, ambiance, and music! So glad we came across this beautiful spot!

The food was delicious and and well seasoned it was a nice atmosphere with Afrobeat music, with some traditional features in the restaurant. Unfortunately the Receptionist was rude as I scheduled an appointment for a specific time and then later on she called me saying she's going to have to reschedule my booking for an earlier time because it's busy which I found unpleasant and unfair, then she said we have an amount of time to spend in the restaurant which is one hour. And then in person of being at the restaurant, a waiter said that it's 2 hours to spend at the restaurant, it made me feel confused.

You wouldn't know it by walking past on the streets of Soho outside, but the interior is worthy of the finer restaurants in the ritzier parts of the city. Reservations for dinner are recommended, but I didn't have any trouble snagging a seat during the "Afternoon Tea" hours of the day. At that time, only snacks and drinks are available- and at these prices, I'm kind of glad that they were all I could order- but with two snacks and a cocktail, you should be set for a few hours. (The items can be a bit carb-heavy, here). I started off with a thick slab of the most delicious Focaccia I've ever had with a healthy drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and the Nduja Toast. The focaccia was soft, crispy, and almost juicy with all that oil, and a dash of rosemary. Simple though it may have been, I had to go back for seconds. And at only £2 per slice, I think I got a pretty good deal for that dirty, dirty carb fest. The Nduja Toast comes as two tiny pieces of think, hard bruschetta with a slathering of dates, marjoram, and a drizzle of chestnut honey. Slightly-sweet and spicy, I found it the perfect starter to whet the appetite for another piece of that focaccia. To wash this tiny meal down, I decided to splurge on their Alchemist cocktail, made with tequila, ginger, honey, fermented Mandarin tea, carob bitter, lemon, and egg whites. Tiny, a bit too much on the sweet side, but overall, not a bad drink. Given how delicious and exotic the snacks are, I think it's safe to say this restaurant is definitely worth visiting; especially if you like raw things, which is what a sizable portion of their menu is known for.
