    Pepper soup

So I was in London for Halloween month "October" and after drifting the on bond street for hrs I decided to try out Stork. From the Entrance the Ambience was amazing, really stick to theme decor even down to the bathroom stalls. For an African cuisine restaurant I was impressed. Now let's talk food and drinks I ordered a starter drink of Chapman and it was made beautifully I gave me vibes of my teenage years back home in Nigeria It had been ages since I tried Chapman and I loved it . For starters I had the pepper soup and also ordered the grilled chicken and boy they were fire! both great. Our server was amazing as well and he good recommendations. For main course I had the jollof rice and red sauce the portion of the red sauce was worth the price I couldn't even finish it I had to get a to-go box. The rice on the other hand I'll give it a 6/10 for effort not as good but it was ok. In general I'll definitely visit again when in London. And I 100% recommend

Fabi accommodated a last minute reservation and both she and the waiter were on stellar from start to finish of my dining experience. I literally cannot say enough good things about this experience, and I have the privilege of many fine dining restaurants. It was unbelievably memorable! Refer to my pictures but my favorite was the cucumber cocktail, jerk wing appetizer (ordered well done/crispy), Suya main course and the plantains. I also ordered the curry goat and Jollof Rice but wasn't a big fan of these two. I gave my driver the left overs and he was so excited to try it. This was literally the best Suya I've ever had, and I'd return a thousand times over. They even followed up by email to thank me, and offer future private dining options. Just wow!!!

Receipt from our terrible dining experience

I visited Stork Mayfair on 10/1 with my mother. It was suppose to be our final dinner of our 3-city European trip and it ended on a sour note. Things look lovely on the inside but the server was terrible. English wasn't his first language (it's not ours either), but I don't think he was hearing us. And then he straight up lied about our food order (see below). For food, we ordered the salted fish and yam cakes, okra fritter, jollof rice, ras el hanout and the red snapper (everything listed in the receipt) - which was suppose to be a whole fish and plantain. Instead what we were served was a jumbo plantain. When I questioned the waiter he told me that the red snapper is not on the menu. Now explain to me why you'd have something on the menu and also allow me to order it if it was in fact not on the menu. They last minute offered to prepare bass to replace the main part of the dish. They still charged me the full price for a subpar meal. We didn't get dessert. They didn't even offer to make the situation right so from a service perspective terrible. A very disappointing experience. I should've raised hell but I'll just do it through my creditor. Unfortunately I didn't get full pics of the replacement fish when it came out because at that point we'd waited so long and were just ready to finally eat. What a wasted experience. We had a better meal at Nandos. But if you're looking for something really nice check out Papa L's, we had good service and food there.

What a stunning restaurant! Great drinks, ambiance, and music! So glad we came across this beautiful spot!

The food was delicious and and well seasoned it was a nice atmosphere with Afrobeat music, with some traditional features in the restaurant. Unfortunately the Receptionist was rude as I scheduled an appointment for a specific time and then later on she called me saying she's going to have to reschedule my booking for an earlier time because it's busy which I found unpleasant and unfair, then she said we have an amount of time to spend in the restaurant which is one hour. And then in person of being at the restaurant, a waiter said that it's 2 hours to spend at the restaurant, it made me feel confused.

I think every American mother/daughter duo was checking this place out for lunch or high tea. Mom and I opted for the lunch experience in the room called "The Glade." 3 courses, for a very reasonable price. Something like 36 pounds if I remember correctly. We did this over the more pricey high tea, but that certainly looked like a good time as well. That dining room was gorgeous. The food was pretty good. Nothing that absolutely blew my socks off, except for the strawberry dessert. Everything was certainly well done, though. I mean, there's a restaurant with 3 Michelin stars upstairs - the food should be good! Would def return with new people that hadn't been before.

Those damn English scones were some of the best I've ever had - clotted cream and jam! Heavenly. Dinner in the Gallery was fun and delish as well. We started with the Korean tofu dumplings + beetroot carpaccio, both were light, perfectly seasoned and lovely starters. Mushroom arancini with carrot ginger coconut broth was well balanced and craveable. Cod brandade was delicious as well but a bit heavy, could only eat half. Pistachio chocolate peanut ganache was the perfect end to a lovely meal. It's a visual spectacle in the best way, and service was lovely as well. I wasn't sure if it could live up to the IG hype but it was fun and delicious!

The restaurant is gorgeous as well but what really makes the entire experience is the staff. From the host to the waitstaff, everyone was beyond lovely and kind. Special shout outs to Jacob from NY and Bella from Vancouver BC that were just the best. We started with the artichokes and radishes, both of which were lovely. We did the mushroom entree and the homemade tahini and pitas were to die for. Last but not least the sticky toffee soft serve was delish - I ate every single bite. Great dinner spot for my first proper visit to London!

We grabbed dinner reservations for 8:00 pm and were seated at a really cute booth by the kitchen pass area. I got the shiso spritz and my husband tried a couple of their mocktails which he enjoyed thoroughly. Foodwise, we got the crispy aubergine tops, sprouting broccoli, tropea onions, potatoes with creme fraiche and the mixed grill mushroom. The two standouts were the aubergine tops and the tropea onions where I was really ready to LICK THE PLATE. The onions with the ricotta were seasoned to perfection with just a bit of spice. The aubergine was breaded and fried to cronchy heaven and I could eat a bucket of these if they were presented to me. The potatoes were good but needed a touch more seasoning; and the broccoli was also a great dish but paled in comparison to the stars. The mixed mushroom main was good but not our favorite as the seasoning blend on them became a tad overwhelming for us as we ate. Dessert wise, we grabbed the miso caramel which was delicious. Service was super friendly and efficient. 10/10 you HAVE to try this place if you are in the area (or you know, trek out a bit if you're not :P) You will not regret this meal, trust me.

Every staff member from the hostess to the servers made me feel very welcome and were so enthusiastic about the menu. I chose courses -- a duck, pork and guinea fowl terrine as a starter, cumbrian lamb as my main, and wild honey ice cream for dessert. To drink I believe I had an English sparkling wine to start and then a Malbec for the lamb. It was all so delicious, I didn't want it to end. And for dessert the server brought out an actual honeycomb to the table and served freshly cut (?) the honey into the ice cream. The ice cream also came with freshly baked madelines. There was also a recommendation to pair the dessert with a whiskey (the name of which I can't remember--ha!ha!) I accepted the recommendation, and though it was a simple dessert, it was one of the best things I have eaten. The whiskey made a wonderful pairing. Highly recommend this establishment!

We arrived early and sat in the bar/lounge area to sip cocktails while we waited. I ordered the Velvet Eclipse, essentially an espresso martini. It was rich, not too sweet, and not too bitter. It was perfect. They also brought out green olives and savory seasoned crackers for us to snack on. They kept them refilled as well, which was nice. The service was fantastic and we never wanted for anything. We did their three course menu with the wine pairing. The Sommelier was brilliant and I loved everything he selected. To start, they brought out a bread basket and amuse bouche which consisted of a savory cream puff filled with a liver mousse and a little tartlet. Both were excellent bites. For my first course, I had the risotto primavera. It was cooked to perfection and the saltiness of the Parmesan with the sweetness of peas was incredible. Next, I had their steak, which was absolutely perfect. It came with a mushroom ketchup that really elevated the meat's natural flavors. For dessert, I had the Congolese chocolate torte, which was incredibly rich while having such a light texture. Each course was excellent and imaginative. Be sure to do the wine pairing, it's well worth it! This was truly a Michelin star experience!
