They refused to refund any portion of our $4k deposit. Over the course of 6 weeks, we estimate Melissa spent less than 3 hours on us, we never even met Morgan. We requested a partial refund (from our perspective this was generous) to which she immediately gaslighted us... launching into what appeared to be a heavily scripted response, it was clear she's done this to others, dishonest vendor, very important lesson to always read the contract! We were blown away with their services from start to finish. They are thoughtful and observant in obtaining information from their clients about design preferences. When we received their design plan for us, we could not have been more thrilled. They captured all the elements of the design and wedding experience that we were hoping for and even suggested additional special elements (like a Tiki bar) that we hadn't thought of ourselves, but absolutely loved. Melissa and Morgan were also thoughtful in helping us plan the multicultural aspects of our wedding, weaving together seamlessly different cultural traditions. The end result was unique, elegant and received glowing feedback from all of our guests. In addition to all of this, Melissa and Morgan were extremely organized and on top of our wedding timeline. Of note, our wedding was not the easiest to plan, as we live in NYC and were planning during the pandemic. This did not prove to be a barrier as Melissa and Morgan held Zoom meetings with us and handled everything on the ground in Toronto until we had our final planning meetings in person. We felt completely confident in them, even as two type-A New Yorkers! Lastly and perhaps most importantly, they are an absolutel joy to work with. Their warmth and positivity put us at ease, not just during the planning process, but also on the day of the wedding. They were super adaptable -- any last minute challenges that arose were handled swiftly and competently by Melissa and Morgan. It is clear that they have strong relationships and are beloved by all their vendors, and there are clear examples of us benefitting from these strong relationships. At the same time, we never felt pressured into using a particular vendor, and Melissa and Morgan also worked seamlessly with several new vendors that we introduced. And while always positive, Melissa and Morgan were also transparent with us at all stages. When they had strong feelings about certain decisions based on their extensive experience, they did not hesitate to guide us. All in all, we wholeheartedly recommend Lustre Events for anyone planning a wedding. They made our dream wedding come to life!

I had to write a review for this cake alone. Not only was it extremely elegant and classy looking with fresh floral decor, but it was absolutely delicious. This is the kind of cake that you can freeze the leftovers and it will still be delicious when you are ready to eat it. I'm not typically a huge fan of orange flavoured cakes, but it was a white cake, with some fresh oranges in between the layers. The buttercream tastes like there is some cream cheese or mascarpone mixed it, and it is lovely. I look forward to the next time we can order this cake again.

After that, we received limited service and very poor quality plans by my standards. The vendor recommendations were not suitable for us and didn't meet our needs - I ended up finding all the vendors on my own. She provides no financial management support and was not involved in a single vendor negotiation or saved us any money. The day of plan was done poorly with typos, names wrong, etc. I had to redo the full day-of-plan and I sent it to her in which she refused to accept. I sent my schedule to the other vendors, briefed them, and followed up well in advance. Let's Party Consultants only followed up through a late night voice mail to some of my vendors and not to others. On the day of the wedding, my caterer, my friends and my husband couldn't find her for an hour after she was to arrive and she jetted out of there before the wedding was over (and by me counting straight hours - before our contract was up). I literally saw her for 5 minutes during my wedding. She also demanded a guest meal versus a vendor meal. She confused the DJ by giving him the wrong plan (her version which was inaccurate). I was so fearful of her performance that I actually got my friend to be the day-of-coordinators. The entire process left me frustrated and angry - my family urged me to fire her on many occasions - but she demanded payment upfront and I decided to try to make it work since I already paid. Other vendors who saw her name as my wedding planner gave me a warning based on their past experiences with her. By the way, she would tell you that full payment upfront is the standard. It is NOT TRUE - most of the wedding planners do not require this. It has been years since my wedding and I still wish that I hired someone else. As an aside, she did bring an assistant whom I liked a lot - Leena was smart enough to know that me and her were just not working and had the assistant be the interface. Perhaps, our experience would have been very different if we dealt with her instead of Leena. Why am I writing this now? My review was triggered by a friend who was so upset over her wedding planner - and guess what - it turned out to be Leena too. I feel like I need to do my part before more people feel their wedding experience is being "ruined" by their planner.

The minute I made payment (which was requested prior to the event); she started becoming very rude and pushy and was not accommodating to my availability during my wedding week. She agreed to match all deliverables discussed but what was provided to me was worth half the money charged and nothing close to what was promised. Let's party consultants is run by a bunch of rude, money minded idiots who don't care to make anyone's wedding a special event. Their work is of poor quality and they are definitely not the people to rely on to make your wedding easy. Finally, they have very poor communication on what timing is needed from their team to execute the plan. They didn't clearly inform me when a full payment had to be made until the very end and threatened to not show up for the decor until the night prior to my event despite having accepted full payment because I was unable to send a signed copy of their contract and had written to them on 2 separate occasions advising that I fully accept terms and conditions however don't have access to a printer to send them a signed copy. I would never recommend them to anyone !

I traveled to the Dominican Republic for a family friend's wedding and used the travel agent recommended by the couple, Kawaljeet Singh. That was a huge mistake. From the start, the entire experience lacked any decent customer service and delayed notification about travel requirements. Despite confirming specific room details with Kawaljeet (and even having signed confirmation), we were given a completely different room when we arrived. The hotel staff needed him to correct the booking, but he was conveniently not available and once in communication days later completely unhelpful and refused to take responsibility even when shown proof of his mistake. Worse, he doubled down and insisted he was right, refused to reimburse us, and essentially left us stranded with no support. Once you're at your destination, they completely stop caring because they've already been paid.The service was unprofessional, unresponsive, and downright negligent. Do not fall for the illusions on their website this is not a reliable travel agency. If something goes wrong, you're on your own.I will never use this company again, and I strongly suggest planning your trip yourself or going through a more reputable, responsive travel service.
