It was the last one left and was 20% off....and it wasn't red! :D Most of the things I saw were mostly red (my least fav color and which also happens to be the Chinese Wedding color... ugh). The tea sets they carry here are mostly elegant depending on the design. Some are cute too w/ little cartoon characters or you can go the traditional design approach. I think Fanbo has the most variety around the area for teasets. All comes in a nice solid-ish case w/ a handle. Shirley was so nice again... she recognized me and gave me some freebies. 2 double happiness signs (to stick on the wall/door) and lots of papercups.

My initial communications with people here in person were great. Towards the endi, it was incredibly frustrating that they would send out LONG standard responses asking you to review everything, yet on at least 3 occasions, did not even respond to my questions. Though we got what we wanted, I was incredibly disappointed at communications with this team. I tried going in person, over the phone and emails to get the message across. Luckily getting invitations is not a long process and we got beautiful invitations. In retrospect, I would have gone elsewhere because this is the only vendor that was frustrating to deal with. I'd recommend you do your research to shop around more than we did. Depending on what you want, you may not really save this much at this place. We budgeted $5 and spend close to $9....that said, we loved them.

I am not a huge DIY person so I didn't want to put my own invitations together. While searching around, I realized that adding a rhinestone to the invitation added a lot more cost. I am so glad I happened upon Stephita while searching online. I order invitation #917 because it was exactly what I wanted and so much cheaper than any of the stores that I was looking at in the US. Also, I did not have to pay tax since the store is based in Canada! Working with Stephita was also wonderful. Everyone was so nice and patient with me as I went through multiple proofs after changing my mind about one thing or another. The invitations came ahead of time and they even included extra envelopes and RSVP cards. I would recommend them 100%!

We had the pleasure of working with Melissa and Morgan (owners of Lustre Events) to design and plan…read moreour summer 2022 wedding in Toronto at the Miller Lash House. We were blown away with their services from start to finish. They are thoughtful and observant in obtaining information from their clients about design preferences. When we received their design plan for us, we could not have been more thrilled. They captured all the elements of the design and wedding experience that we were hoping for and even suggested additional special elements (like a Tiki bar) that we hadn't thought of ourselves, but absolutely loved. Melissa and Morgan were also thoughtful in helping us plan the multicultural aspects of our wedding, weaving together seamlessly different cultural traditions. The end result was unique, elegant and received glowing feedback from all of our guests. In addition to all of this, Melissa and Morgan were extremely organized and on top of our wedding timeline. Of note, our wedding was not the easiest to plan, as we live in NYC and were planning during the pandemic. This did not prove to be a barrier as Melissa and Morgan held Zoom meetings with us and handled everything on the ground in Toronto until we had our final planning meetings in person. We felt completely confident in them, even as two type-A New Yorkers! Lastly and perhaps most importantly, they are an absolutel joy to work with. Their warmth and positivity put us at ease, not just during the planning process, but also on the day of the wedding. They were super adaptable -- any last minute challenges that arose were handled swiftly and competently by Melissa and Morgan. It is clear that they have strong relationships and are beloved by all their vendors, and there are clear examples of us benefitting from these strong relationships. At the same time, we never felt pressured into using a particular vendor, and Melissa and Morgan also worked seamlessly with several new vendors that we introduced. And while always positive, Melissa and Morgan were also transparent with us at all stages. When they had strong feelings about certain decisions based on their extensive experience, they did not hesitate to guide us. All in all, we wholeheartedly recommend Lustre Events for anyone planning a wedding. They made our dream wedding come to life!

Email responses incredibly slow. As a result, we sourced our own venue and when the date was unavailable to Lustre events, we made the decision to release them. They refused to refund any portion of our $4k deposit. Over the course of 6 weeks, we estimate Melissa spent less than 3 hours on us, we never even met Morgan. We requested a partial refund (from our perspective this was generous) to which she immediately gaslighted us... launching into what appeared to be a heavily scripted response, it was clear she's done this to others, dishonest vendor, very important lesson to always read the contract! Absolute scam.
