I was a customer for 2 1/2 years. Units are fine, customer service was very good. We started with a 10' x 20' , price increases made us change after one year to a 10' x 10'. Cancelled today because cost increases. Now pay as much for 10' x 10' as original cost of 10' x 20' , double in price. Not affordable or acceptable. That is price gouging!! Paul W. read more

They were a blessing when I needed a storage unit in an emergency situation and they accommodated me with in 3 hours, which was huge and took a load off my family. The place is always clean n well lite, easy easy access, climate control which we needed to. they have al ways been polite n pleasant n answer any questions I have or had. they have several storeage units in other areas of Tennessee. I posted earlier in the summer about the trouble I was having with Port Royal Storage in Spring Hill, TN. We were having issues with the payment software not crediting our account and being locked out of our unit although we had paid. Since then, I have spoken with Joel, the manager there. He worked with headquarters and got everything worked out. Renee, a upper manager, contacted me and offered to pay a month of storage because she regretted the difficulties we had. Avoid this self storage at all costs. I was going through a divorce and was forced to empty my house immediately. I blindly picked this storage place because it was convenient. Wrong move. They blindly without warning raise your prices. I'm on a fixed income. I started out with 4 units because I was in such a hurry I just grabbed everything. But when I went to go through the one unit at the end. I had to throw half of everything out because of mold and mildew. The rain comes in on your things. The unit are not sealed to protect your things. When I showed the staff, they could care less. So I'm down to 3 units on a very fixed income and I just got a bill that doubled last years increase to $60/ unit more. I don't know about you but that is a big hit to me. They punish the people that pay on time. They expect you to make up for their losses. And you are stuck. They know that. Trust me I will empty my units asap. I'm afraid next year on their doubling policy it might increase $120/unit. Stay clear! read more

I had a storage unit here for almost 2 years. During that time, I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner several times, and he was always pleasant, helpful and willing to go to extra mile to make his customers happy. At Port Royal Storage you get small-town, personal service from a really great storage unit company. I've been especially happy about how secure the unit has been although I used a cheap little lock. When I got my stuff out, the owner was gracious enough not to charge me for almost 2 weeks (I kept putting off my move-out date because my date to move out of state changed several times). In addition to that, he even cleaned the unit for me after my friends got my stuff out! You can't find service like that these days, and I highly recommend Port Royal Storage. A ++++++ read more

I recently took over a unit from a friend. When I took my first payment to the office the gentleman came outside and explained the amount was incorrect and I was shy $30.00. As it was a check I asked if I could simply make it up on next months payment or if need be I would get him another check. Apparently he noticed that I was wearing my Marine Corp Veteran hat and asked if I was a veteran to which I replied yes. He stated that the amount was fine going forward and walked away. I had to chase him down to shake his hand & thank him. As a veteran I do not seek "special privileges" for anything. The truth is that it was my privilege to serve our country. That being said I cannot tell you how good that made me feel and the fact that he was not looking for any recognition what so ever for his kind act to this veteran. Hard to find that kind of gratitude in our fast paced society today. I am grateful. read more
