Having a designated parking spot included in the price is such a huge perk. Check in was simple and secure with the door code. The in room coffee machine is awesome and it was such a nice touch to have almond milk creamer in the hallway along with fruit and snack bars. Coffee in room and really good toiletries. We also love the in room robes! The location was very convenient, parking was great and the restaurant was yummy. The only issue with the restaurant is that they take reservations for the bar so there is no guarantee you will get a seat at the bar for a quick snack and drink. The only negatives about the 404 is that there were no pastries or fruit left out in sitting area, several people mentioned this perk. There was also a little dried toothpaste in the sink and some stains on the bed when we first arrived to our room. Kinda gross but most likely a cleaning oversight. If you are looking for a small hotel for independent vacationers this is a great place to stay. We may not stay here the next time we visit Nashville but we would stay there again in the future.

However, there wasn't a fan in the bathroom and the AC in the room was quite weak, so there wasn't much air circulation or white noise. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, and the shower handle was broken and wouldn't adjust correctly. In another room my family member stayed in, the shower door was installed on the wrong side, making it difficult to enter. She had to get into the shower to turn on the water, which meant standing in cold water first. Service: Most of the front desk staff were excellent and friendly -- until checkout on the morning of 10/6. The woman at the middle computer was noticeably cold toward us. When my sister checked out, she didn't ask which payment method to use and selected one, which ended up being wrong. When I asked her to correct it, she was dismissive and said there was nothing she could do. My sister felt bad because it meant I wouldn't get points for the stay. I politely mentioned that hotel staff usually confirm payment methods at checkout, but she didn't respond. I asked to speak with a manager, who came right over and was very kind and helpful. He immediately fixed the issue and apologized for the mix-up. Meanwhile, the original staff member disappeared into the back once she realized she had been mistaken and could, in fact, change it. I completely understand that people have bad days, but if you're struggling to provide even basic customer service in a customer-facing role, it's best to work with your manager for support. The bathroom is so dark it's nearly impossible to do your hair or makeup. They advertise free in-room coffee, yet only offer dark roast, which many guests don't prefer. Location is the only real positive here. After settling in, we went out to walk around, then returned and tried to sleep. I woke up hot with an aching back--the mattress feels worn out and the AC doesn't cool the room effectively. I've stayed at much cheaper hotels with better beds. Since DoubleTree and Hampton Inn are both Hilton brands, I expected at least comparable quality, but the beds here are noticeably worse than what I regularly get at Hampton. I originally booked a Hampton Inn about 30 minutes away and wish I had kept that reservation. We paid $2,200 for three nights here after tax; the Hampton would have cost roughly $500. That extra money could have covered Uber rides and meals. I've been awake since 5 a.m. with back pain and still have two more nights left. The bar and breakfast look nice, but neither is free. Given the price difference and the fact that both properties are under Hilton, I expected more--especially when it comes to the beds. Overall, this stay fell short of expectations.

The negative reviews for this property are crazy. 1. You have to be a particular kind of Karen to complain about the noise from the street. You are on Broadway. There will be street noise. It will continue until 3am. The hotel provides earplugs and white noise generators. If this is going to be a problem for you then book a hotel out in Brentwood. 2. The rooms are small and sparse. They are also clean and cozy. I love it. You aren't coming here to hang out in your room. This is a fun, unique property. If you are expecting a Courtyard (or a Sheraton) book one of those instead. If you have any level of chill and are open to something unique right in the middle of the action, then stay here.

Bathroom and furniture could use some tlc moldy shower, grout coming off, grout on tiles(again cheap contractor), toilet flush was corroded and broken, ect. This is a management problem, we manage a lot of properties and know some pretty sus management and these guys are the type to neglect their customers and only care about their bottom line doing some sus things to get there. You should just spend the extra $ (which you will anyways for the parking) and get a better place. I should have checked the trusty Yelp reviews and not trust the bought Expedia reviews which I highly suspect they bought.
