It's clean and well lit. The prices are much more reasonable than some of the fancier locations. We have no complaints about access, it's a key-code to get in, and everything feels very secure. Even better, when nature calls, the bathrooms are accessible and clean. If you live in this area and need a storage option, you really should give this place a try!

I rented a truck from here and the staff was absolutely great during the entire course of my interactions with them. They were cheerful and efficient even on an early Saturday morning. I'd heard horror stories of other places overbooking U-Haul trucks, but none of that funny business here. My reservation was honored. Even though the tank wasn't completely full when I returned the truck, seeing how tired I was, the staff were happy to look the other way and did not charge ridiculous fees as stated in the contract. Other companies can learn a thing or two about customer service from Yorkdale Self Storage. Hudson's Bay, I am looking at you.

This left me in a scramble since I had planned my move around the 10:00am time with elevators booked at both my apartment buildings and needed to be done by 6:00pm. When I asked for a reason why they would cancel and change my reservation 2 days before my move when they had over 3 weeks to do it, they said it wasn't their issue and to take it up with corporate. Thankfully corporate helped me out by giving me a smaller truck from a different location for 24 hours, with a refund and a lower per mile fee. However, I will be very hesitant to book with U-Haul again and, if I do, it will never be with this location.

As I mentioned in my previous review, the movers were highly skilled and very experienced but mistakes were made that caused some damage to my furniture. We're human and we all make mistakes. Minor damage to furniture is a normal part of moving and I expected it when I hired this company. What I didn't expect was that the owner would take the time to contact me, to listen attentively to my complaints and then to respond by remedying the situation. I did not expect compassion, kindness or a human being at the end of the phone line who was deeply apologetic. I was very impressed with the humanity shown by Paul.
