I had worked with Storage Squad once a couple of years ago and had been an easy process but wow have things changed. I had to be calling nonstop for two months to get ANY sort of support/guidance/resolution on some lost packages. On Storage Squad's website they mention that they have to be the ones to file a claim to UPS, yet, the email that they provide to request such a thing does not respond. Storage squad's support email never provides an answer. And when talking to customer support they don't know what I'm talking about. I literally had to guide them ON THEIR OWN website. They didn't even file the claim at the end! After UPS returned some sort of money I had to be the one to call storage squad to get any sort of reimbursement and had to call multiple times for it. Rather than them giving me ANY updates on said reimbursements or communications with UPS. The customer service system they have in place (not the agents) simply sucks. They have to be in constant contact with a superior because they don't know how to solve the issues at hand. Further, when they say they will call back with an update at the end of the day they NEVER do. Further I don't know who is placing the labels on shipped packages but DO BETTER all of my lost packages were because the label came off I was told after some were found. When I first commisioned using Storage Squad they did not even tell me that my things would be shipped with UPS and alas suddenly they were. The transparency and responsibility is fully lacking. Moving is already stressful and widly expensive enough, the things that storage/moving boxes carry are PRECIOUS for their owners and working with such an irresponsible, unclear, and unresponsive company is an absolute nightmare. I'm so dissapointed in the whole process and service that I received. read more

Sharing a horrible experience with the company Storage Squad as a warning for students and parents. My son stored his mountain bike with them over the summer and when he returned this semester Storage Squad said they were going to deliver it a particular date. When it didn't arrive he called, and called, and emailed, and called. After a month of calling he was finally informed that they concluded they can't find it and I need to file a claim. The maximum compensation for a claim is $100. Not nearly enough to cover the cost of a mountain bike. So Storage Squad can basically lose or steal a bike and offer peanuts as compensation. I am sure in many cases they meet customers expectations but in this case I am out several hundred dollars. Not once did the company call me back after many inquiries. Very disappointing. read more

This is a review for the drivers at Storage Squad. The company had struggles this year...not sure what, but lots of people not getting their boxes in time, things coming dirty or damaged. Lots of angry people. My daughter received her boxes a day late. The drivers could not have been sweeter to her and more helpful. So many people were yelling and complaining to them....and yet, they were not responsible for the delays. After all, don't shoot the messenger! We had a great experience last year with them, and if we were needing storage next year ( but we aren't), I would give them a second chance. This is a shoutout to drivers TONY and ROBERT!!!! Lost over $1000 worth of my things and have ignored my requests to be compensated. Incredibly poorly managed.

Unresponsive, unreliable, disorganized, and overall awful. The Storage Squad deploys the poorest of poor customer service. They claim they provide boxes, but we had to scramble to get our own. It only got worse from there. After a scheduled delivery time to return our possessions, we were notified the scheduled time mysteriously changed. After they arbitrarily changed the time for delivery, they wouldn't work with us to make any adjustments, they wouldn't let us pick up our belongings, they wouldn't tell us where they were, and they wouldn't provide a supervisor to speak with. After all that, we were notified shortly before delivery that they were not able to adhere to their newly designated delivery time, and then it was subsequently changed again, and again...until we stopped receiving messages at all. Our possessions never arrived, and we couldn't get a response from the company. If you call them, you wait on hold for over an hour before reaching a representative in a different state who can't answer any questions. If you email them, you don't hear back for days. It's downright scary if you need the items they take from you, and I recommend finding another way - ANY other way. I wish I could say this is a waste of money, but it is tremendously worse than that. It's a waste of money, time, and sanity. This company doesn't care about their customers. We're telling everyone we know to stay away and find an alternative. read more

Stored stuff there between semesters. The pick up was fine. However when called to get stuff returned, had to call several times over months till actually was. Several times which they said it would be but then wasn't. All this time as they failed to return stuff stored they charged me for additional term of storage adding up to $500 all due to them not returning stuff for several months. read more

Awesome service! We live in CA and googled storage options for the summer at Penn State and found Storage Squad. Easy sign up. Very reasonable prices. My son grabbed boxes and tape earlier in the week. On moving day we both got a text to say where they were and how many people were ahead of us which was great!! We kept checking the link to see how much time we had and we were packed and ready to go. Our team was Joe, Colin, and Levi and they were fast and courteous. Terrible, lost my fan and one of my boxes was opened when i got it weeks after i stored it... Completely unprofessional.

My daughter used Storage Squad (PSU) 2x during PSU finals week. We scheduled a pickup in the beginning of finals week and then one at the end. We paid the extra $15 for the room pickup service and it was well worth it. The 2nd pickup was on Friday (last day of finals) and once again, the communication regarding the pickup time was great and our team of Colin Lou, Levi Walker, and Joe McDoal were terrific. They were very polite, professional, fast, and courteous - even in the pouring down rain! They were even a few minutes earlier than the stated time. This service is great and I love how they post a picture of your boxes/items in your account soon after the pickup. read more

Beware - this company will not honor its confirmed delivery commitments. There are few long-term storage options in the area, so you might feel like you have to go with it, but be careful relying on Storage Squad keeping its promises for scheduled deliveries. It also won't fully compensate you for costs incurred by late deliveries. Not an honorable outfit - its explanation for not delivering in accordance with a confirmed date was that it had committed an internal error and "it's not our policy" to pay its workers overtime to deliver as agreed. read more
