My Mom told me to try some locations in Livonia. I came across Mini U-Storage that was the most reasonable for $169 month. It was just enough room for what I needed to store. The staff gave me a tour on the golf cart which honestly was fun. I was able to secure a space and move my items in the same day. They offer a 10 day grace period for your payment. They send you a monthly invoice via email and you can pay your bill on line. This location is close enough to service someone living in Detroit, Southfield, Farmington and Oak Park.

The service here by Marius is AWESOME, he helped me with the van and all the things I needed but he added in a personal touch and helped me navigate and find a doctor to help with my family members sudden health issues. He called just to check in and worked with me as I needed the van for longer than expected. I couldnt imagine a better person to have met during this time in my life. He was also very professional and helped me figure out which things I'd need to make the move easier. The prices here are fair and I took out the extra coverage cuz credit cards don't cover rental equipment and the cost per day was very reasonable and just so easy to pick up and drop off and extend my rental. I'd recommend this place to anyone for their U-Haul needs and special shoutout to Marius he's a real gem of a guy and helped me with finding movers last minute and really just made a difficult situation easier and customer relationships are very important to me he's genuine, thoughtful and kind so I'd recommend this location to anyone as they go above and beyond in my recent experience.

Like most storage systems, they offer 24/7 access to add or retrieve things from your unit. We talked with Kristen about availability and pricing. She told us the current monthly prices as: 5'x5' for $45, 5'x10' for $70, and 10'x10' for $100. She said that only 5'x5' units were available at this time but offered to put us on a waitlist for a larger unit, which we accepted. Overall, the grounds and units appeared clean and well maintained. Although the units were not climate controlled, they appeared dry and resistant to the elements. And for our purpose, it is a convenient location between our current home and the area we are focusing on for our next house.

Terrible experience. I selected them because they also did junk removal and I saw good reviews. I…read morenoted I had a "massive, heavy cabinet" to junk. I suggested in the morning we tackle that first thing and that they take the doors off. Long story short- they save it until the end, do not take the doors off, do not take the bannister off the wall, damage my walls, the cabinet is stuck at the bottom of the stairs and they wanted to be paid (cash only! another thing they didn't tell me up front) with the promise someone else would come back and move the cabinet a couple hours later. Only by withholding payment did I get the cabinet removed (they had to take the bannister off and doors to accomplish). Other furniture of mine they moved had some damage. I gave them the opportunity to fix the wall damage or make arrangements with the new buyers to have fixed and I got ghosted and stuck giving up some of my security deposit to cover. (after Justin claiming I didn't tell him how heavy my cabinet was). Completely unprofessional.

This was in August when everything was totally nuts in SEMI moving/storage wise. She found us an even better available unit, made sure it was easy for us to move into (we're two small people). It was a busy moving/storage time, and uhaul wasn't advertising a free month, but Shannon gave us a free month anyway. Without her help we would have been really stuck since we had to be out of our place the next day. She also walked us through all the steps since we'd never used storage before. She managed a lot of different customers who all needed things quite quickly. Would definitely recommend working with her and her team!
