I initially went to another location closer to campus and it was dirty, packed and slow. I left. I also didn't use the AU clinic b/c of the bad comments regarding giving patients the antibiotics they needed. I knew I needed antibiotics and could not wait any longer as I had been sick for 5 days and using OTC meds already. Can't chance it. All to say, that the Nurse Practitioner that treated me was efficient, gave me a head to toe exam listened carefully to My symptoms and have me 3 tests immediately who's results were ready in 5 to 10 mins. Through and nose cultures and a small blood test. This was even better than the care I get from My family physician in MD!!!! I was thrilled! I received a painless prednisone shot, antibiotics and cough syrup script. All were sent to the CVS in the same shopping Ctr. And within an hr I was finished and on my way to the hotel to recover. The meds and shot worked immediately and I felt so much better Taht day and the following. I am on my way home to MD now and cannot say enough about this incredible facility and the people who cared for me. My daughter will be a new student here this fall and I leave not only feeling better but, reassured that she can get the same wonderful treatment for any minor illnesses she may need at this Urgent Care. This one will see children under 2 which is very rare for an urgent care, HOWEVER it has consistently been the worst experience of my life so far. After waiting for 4 hours with two sick children I found the physician abrasive and insulted every time I tried to inquire about anything. If I offered other advice (IE: my child only has one kidney and so I have to be careful what medications he is prescribed) the doctor seemed offended that I was questioning him. Both times he has prescribed the wrong dosages for medications and I cleared this both times with my pediatrician over the phone and he said he had given them way to much of one thing and then also a steroid which is not good for young babies to take. Be advised do not take young children here, it has been a terrible experience both times.

They tested me for flu and covid both came back negative, and I was prescribed antibiotics and sent home. I took all my medication but instead of getting better, I actually felt worse. A few weeks later I went back because my throat was hurting even more and the medicine clearly wasn't helping. I saw the same doctor and honestly I felt like she barely cared about what I was telling her. she asked me if I have had any surgeries and I said I had my tonsils taken out when i was a kid she even looked at my throat so she would know that my tonsils were in fact not in there. She proceeded to tell me i had tonsillitis and put me back on another anabiotic. Then , I realized that didn't make sense, so I went back and asked her about it. She then said she meant laryngitis and explained that she had seen so many patients complaining that day that she forgot. I understand doctors have busy days, but that is not something that should happen when someone is coming to you for medical care. Then, about three weeks later, I developed a really painful eye infection and ended up seeing that same doctor again at the Tigertown AFC location. I explained how much my eye hurt, and she barely examined it before saying she thought it was pink eye, prescribing eye drops, and sending me on my way. I trusted her diagnosis and followed the treatment, but I continued feeling terrible and my eye was not getting better.Today, I finally went to a doctor in my hometown who actually took the time to listen to me and properly evaluate what was going on. I found out that I do NOT have pink eye, meaning the diagnosis I was given was completely wrong. I am also being evaluated for other serious problems, and pneumonia is a possibility that has not yet been confirmed. There are several other issues that I feel were overlooked during my previous visits. What frustrates me most is that I went to AFC multiple times because I genuinely felt awful, and I left feeling like my concerns were brushed off instead of properly investigated. I understand that doctors cannot always know exactly what is wrong at the first appointment, but I do expect them to listen, examine me thoroughly, and take worsening symptoms seriously. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Patients go to urgent care because they need help, and they should not have to keep going back or find another doctor just to feel like someone is actually taking their health seriously. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location, and I hope they take patient care and the importance of thorough evaluations more seriously.

I came here over the summer when I was experiencing…read morereoccurring stomach problems that were getting worse and worse....Stopwatch tested me for bacterial/viral infection. They couldn't find anything wrong there- but they could tell I was in a lot of pain so they immediately sent me to the East Alabama Medical center for a CAT scan. Turns out I had appendicitis and I was immediately sent in for surgery. Luckily my appendix wasn't ruptured and everything went well. I went to the Urgent care on S College weeks prior and they sent me home with a couple nausea pills and told me I was fine. I wonder what would of happened if I chose to go back to Urgent care instead of Stopwatch lmao.. Stopwatch is a great Urgent Care for all ages. I highly recommend.
