I decided to refuse care since everything they wanted to do were things I can do at home for free, NP became more aggressive, and I wasn't the only one refusing care from him; I heard another patient saying they didn't want treatment from him and wanted to leave immediately. However she was then charged a copay even though we are Tricare prime and shouldn't pay one. They said they couldn't verify the insurance at that time. After three phone calls trying to get her money refunded, I was told to call another number where I was told they would refund her in several weeks. My daughter went to the pharmacy and they saw where it was submitted and then RECALLED!! I'm so frustrated she's hurting and can't get the help she needs.

After waiting for 4 hours with two sick children I found the physician abrasive and insulted every time I tried to inquire about anything. If I offered other advice (IE: my child only has one kidney and so I have to be careful what medications he is prescribed) the doctor seemed offended that I was questioning him. Both times he has prescribed the wrong dosages for medications and I cleared this both times with my pediatrician over the phone and he said he had given them way to much of one thing and then also a steroid which is not good for young babies to take. Anyway, we made our way over and I must say that the entire staff from the receptionist to the nurse practitioner and to our tech everyone was very professional and polite. Our NP Melanie Price was excellent and professional. Our tech was also very sweet and concerned for my daughter's well being. We were in and out in less than an hour, and I really appreciated everything they did to help my daughter. I would highly recommend Stopwatch Urgent Care if you need medical care in the Opelika/Auburn area. The big plus is that they wrote a prescription for my daughter and we went over to the Publix market to pick it up. Publix is in the same shopping center so it was very convenient.
