This location was recommended by other parents with Tricare so I suggested my daughter go there. She was sent home and told it was a virus. Two weeks later she still had the same sickness and had now developed an ear infection. She was seen and told a prescription was put in at the local pharmacy. However she was then charged a copay even though we are Tricare prime and shouldn't pay one. They said they couldn't verify the insurance at that time. After three phone calls trying to get her money refunded, I was told to call another number where I was told they would refund her in several weeks. My daughter went to the pharmacy and they saw where it was submitted and then RECALLED!! I'm so frustrated she's hurting and can't get the help she needs. read more

The doctor essentially called me a liar because my 6 year old didn't have a fever at the time of examination despite the fact that I notified the doctor I had given my 6 year old ibuprofen two hours earlier BECAUSE SHE HAD A FEVER. I will drive past this business in the future to get to ANY other provider. read more

My daughter went in on June 1st to Phoenix City location for a nasal swab test for COVID-19 as one of her coworkers tested positive. She was told results would be back in 5-7 days. After 10 days she started calling for results - EVERY DAY she was told they would check with the lab and get back to her. Insurance paid them $161 claim and no call backs. I called early this week and spoke to a supervisor, Kirsten, and was told the same thing, will check w/lab and call back. I've called multiple a day every day since and only got her POSITIVE results after I threatened with insurance fraud. It took 19 DAYS and was not given any kind of explanation or even an apology. At this point, it has been over two weeks, she's symptom free and is fine now, but it is the principal of the issue. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I'd give zero stars if that was an option. read more

My wife and I have had to use this urgent care facility on three separate occasions. I have only seen a physician once, but the PA is very competent and has given the appropriate treatment each time. They fill a vital need when our primary care doctor is unavailable. The facility is spotless and the wait time is, of course, dependent on the volume of patients waiting to be seen. I was given only 3 days worth of antibiotics when I am typically prescribed a full 7 days worth to ensure that I am fully well. The doctor said 3 days "should be enough," but it was not. When I called back 3 days later, still sick, the receptionist and nurses both told me I would need to come back in and pay another co-pay just to be prescribed more antibiotics. I'm a college student and can't afford to keep paying because of the doctor's faulty choice of not prescribing enough medicine. This service was absolutely terrible and I will not be coming back. read more

I have been to Moore's Mill Urgent Care a few times and had an okay experience. The one thing that was nice was their short wait. The last time I went, however, I had an awful experience. I went in after cutting myself at work. I was asked if the accident had happened at work when I checked in, which I confirmed, but that was the last time I was asked. I was taken back pretty quickly and the nurse got me checked in. I waited in a room for about 20 minutes before being seen (while my thumb was bleeding a considerable amount.) When the doctor came in he was very rude and short. He never asked me how I cut myself or any other details. He just came in and began poking and prodding my thumb. He then told the nurse what tools he needed and never gave me an explanation or told me is plan. The entire time the only way I was told what was happening was if I directly asked a question. At one point he shoved the needle directly in to a nerve and I squirmed which he responded to by telling me to "sit still." After he finished stitching up my thumb he left without saying anything. I had to ask the nurse all my follow up care questions because the doctor told me nothing about how to care for my wound. I was not given antibiotics or pain medication. After we left I had to ask the pharmacist at Wallgreen what supplies I needed to clean and care for my wound since I wasn't told at the office. A few days later I called to ask for a bill for my employer to submit to Workers comp. I was told I needed to do this when I went in and accused of not asking the day I was seen. I explained that I told the receptionist and the doctor that it happened at work and I was never asked for more information. Eventually the woman on the phone told me she couldn't do anything about it and I should have filed the paperwork when I arrived. The bill was charged to my insurance and my employer just paid the bill. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. The bedside manner was horrible, the staff was anything but helpful and the billing process was very frustrating. I will never go back to this awful clinic. read more

Took my son here for ear pain on a Sunday morning when our regular pediatrician was closed. We had a very short wait and encountered friendly front desk staff as well as nurse/doctors. Got a prescription for abx and pain meds and were out the door and on our way in about 20 minutes. Would recommend this place to others and see Dr. Cunningham if possible. read more

Arrived there on a Saturday morning after having wasted more than thirty minutes at the Tiger Town Urgent Care place waiting for a doctor to even show up. My wife had a cold/flu symptoms - a cold for what seemed several weeks - and felt very miserable. The young lady at the desk was very nice and efficient and we were in to see the doctor (Cunningham) in just a few minutes after we filled out the paperwork. Dr. Cunningham was likewise very nice and efficient and had us out the door with some prescriptions pretty quickly. Even though Tiger Town is closer to our house, we will take the extra five minutes to travel to the Moore's Mills Urgent Care every time we have someone sick and cannot see our regular primary care doctor. My wife also liked the cleanliness of the office. read more

I recently had to use this Urgent care facility. As the previous post states it is clean and friendly w minimum wait time. I initially went to another location closer to campus and it was dirty, packed and slow. I left. I also didn't use the AU clinic b/c of the bad comments regarding giving patients the antibiotics they needed. I knew I needed antibiotics and could not wait any longer as I had been sick for 5 days and using OTC meds already. Can't chance it. All to say, that the Nurse Practitioner that treated me was efficient, gave me a head to toe exam listened carefully to My symptoms and have me 3 tests immediately who's results were ready in 5 to 10 mins. Through and nose cultures and a small blood test. This was even better than the care I get from My family physician in MD!!!! I was thrilled! I received a painless prednisone shot, antibiotics and cough syrup script. All were sent to the CVS in the same shopping Ctr. And within an hr I was finished and on my way to the hotel to recover. The meds and shot worked immediately and I felt so much better Taht day and the following. I am on my way home to MD now and cannot say enough about this incredible facility and the people who cared for me. My daughter will be a new student here this fall and I leave not only feeling better but, reassured that she can get the same wonderful treatment for any minor illnesses she may need at this Urgent Care. I was miserable with a hacking cough and runny nose that would not go away. I registered online, showed up and after a short wait was taken for a preliminary check then after anther short wait in the treatment room the doctor arrived. He did a quick but thorough exam then set me up for an injection and with prescriptions for strong cough medicine and antibiotics. I was very pleased with the decisive, proactive treatment and with the professional demeanor of the doctor and staff. read more

This place was HORRIBLE. I went there with a viscous ear ache and migraine. I was told a temp of 100 "wasn't a fever" even though I typically run very low. I left with NOTHING. Nothing. Not even Tylenol. The "doctors" condescending passive aggressive attitude was awful. Never going back. I hate that I even have to give this one star. read more

I wouldn't know how the service is because I left due to the receptionist's attitude. I would have been a first time patient. I need to get a new insurance card and did not have one with me, but I work for the State of Alabama, and usually you are able to look up the health insurance of a patient who works for the State on the BCBS website. Usually an urgent care facility will still see you even if you don't have your card. I do still need to get a new one and keep it on me. The receptionist wasn't familiar with what I explained above and repeated what I told her in a mocking and condescending manner. She then proceeded to ask me the same question over and over that I had already answered as if I didn't understand her the first time. If she was respectful and the office still couldn't have taken me, I would have understood. She seems really young, but needs to lose the attitude. A nearby urgent care office that is familiar with what I explained above and said no problem is getting my business today. read more

Good care. However, they will bill you out $5 extra repeatedly. Me and two of my friends after routine appointments have been charged a with a $5 bill in the mail. Personally, this has happened twice. Supposedly because my insurance didn't cover everything. I'm paying full co-pay with good insurance; however, if a $5 fee is required I want to pay it in business that day not a letter that I cant dispute because no-one remembers and the doctor don't handle billing... read more

I've been going to Moore's Mill urgent care for quite a while. The receptionist was very nice. I had to wait over an hour which unusual for them. The nurse who took my vitals was very abrupt. I couldn't speak because the virus I had and had written what was wrong with me on a piece of paper. The young doctor handed it back without comment and said you have a bacterial infection from your bloodwork. He listened to my chest once on the front and once on the back. Then he said I'll give you some antibiotics and left the room. I won't be going back there. read more

Well, if i could give this place negative stars I would! I brought my 6 year old daughter here dripping wet from our country club pool across the street. She had fallen from the diving board and I was afraid of a concussion! They told me that even though the doctor was in the back and we had the best insurance, they wouldn't look at her!!! I went into moores mill urgent care today around 11 and my doctor and nurse who took my temp/samples were very nice to me but the young snooty receptionist at the front didn't greet me, didn't smile once, didn't say thank you, she literally just gave me a "I couldn't care less" attitude. Normally I would just let it go, but as someone who was really sick with the flu, her attitude towards me was extremely upsetting and frustrating. I don't know why such a bitter person would want to work in a place where people are supposed to be taken care of, but I thought it needed to be addressed and brought to her attention. I will not be returning to that urgent care which is unfortunate because I've gone there since it opened. read more

I have visited Moore's Mill Urgent Care as a patient twice now. The last experience I had, in December 2015, was unacceptable. I was treated for a bacterial sinus infection. The PA I saw wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic and sent me on my way. Once I received my bill, I realized that Moore's Mill Urgent Care had charged me for a steroid injection that I had NOT received. The cost was $30 for the alleged injection. I spoke with the billing department and informed them of the error on my bill. The woman in billing told me that they documented that I received the injection and I must pay for it. I explained to her that I never received the injection and then she proceeded to call me a liar. Needless to say, I will not go back to Moore's Mill Urgent Care. read more
