I brought in my wedding gown to be hemmed and altered 2.5 months before my wedding and was told…read morethat would be plenty of time to complete the necessary alterations. However, there was no communication after I dropped off my dress, and I ultimately had to call to check in myself a week before the deadline. One week before the due date they had given me, I received a call saying that the alterations were not yet complete and that different fabric had to be acquired. Given how close it was to my wedding and the lack of communication up until that point, I decided to take my dress back and not move forward with the additional alterations. I was also uncomfortable with the fabric that had been acquired, as I was told by different seamstress it was intended for curtains/pants rather than bridal gowns. The hemming itself was done well, but unfortunately, I would not recommend coming here for an important event. The lack of communication and last-minute changes were extremely stressful and felt unprofessional, especially given the amount of time the shop had to complete the alterations.
