I needed the heel height adjusted for a pair of shoes that were toot all for me. One other repair store I had taken it to refused to repair them as they said the heel cannot be cut. This place is immediately at the entrance of the mall (I forgot which letter entrance, sorry). Their work is unbelievable. I had them tailor the suit I got married in. It was an expensive suit that I got from a friend, and it needed to fit perfectly, of course. They did work to it that tailors won't touch nowadays. The took in the shoulders and resized the jacket. The pants were an easier job, but still excellent. I ended up having them do some work on some other suits I had. They are friendly, professional, and absolutely excel and what they do. If you need tailoring, take your clothes here. The price wasn't bad either...and I'm cheap. I was starting to do a "first review" of this place and saw that it in fact already was listed. I'm disappointed to see somebody else had a bad experience. I don't know what went wrong in that situation, but I've done several hundred dollars of business here, and I've never been let down. They were never late, and they got things right that most tailors won't dare touch. Notice the other reviewer only got on here to knock them. I can only imagine how many people left happily and never thought to write a review to that effect. ***Their English isn't the best, but they know clothes and they'll do it right. read more

I needed 3 pairs of expensive jeans $200.00 ea hemmed. A friend recommend this tailor so I called asking for hours and cost. I was quoted 10.00 per pair when I got there he told me the cost would be 25.00 a pair. He explained that he would have to do extra work to use the original hem to match the stitching on the jeans. I told him I was quoted 30.00 dollars so I was kind of surprised the price was 75.00. He then told me if I could find it cheaper go there. I was shocked by his lack of professionalism. At that point I said to him do you not want my business. He quickly said no that is not what I mean but again said if I can get it cheaper somewhere else go there. At that point I grabbed my items and I left. I went to John's tailor shop in Libertyville he charged 17 a pair. John was extremely professional and did exceptional work. read more

Took in a pair of Red Wing boots to add a new sole for traction. Simon was really easy to work with and took the time to explain my options. I called to get an estimate of making my jeans pocket deeper. They refused to give me any sort of quote. They claimed they'd have to see the jeans first because they didn't know what kind of stitching this would require. It's just a simple stich. This is not a good business practice. I have had a handful of items altered here so far and they have all been masterfully done. The service is very personable and of a higher quality than the average place. They take the time to explain what will have to be done and always strive to make sure you get exactly what you want. I prefer to wear my clothes very slim and snug to the body. Recently my body has changed and so I am having to take pieces back to get readjusted and each time they come back beautiful. I will definitely be bringing all of my tailoring needs here.
