Anyway, I walked in, turned the corner, and almost immediately I spied the local wine, among a whole bunch of other local wines at decent prices. So, I talk to one the young fellows who work their & I placed an order for two cases... I was afraid that it would be discontinued.... but now, several months later I still see it there and now at Haggen. It is kind of cramped in there, and the first time I went there & turned around, I accidently knocked a bottle that was randomly sit on a box along side a windex bottle. I felt like an idiot bull in a china shop. Anyway, the owners were very cool, and they apologized...which was gracious. I was like holy crap, I am so sorry...but it only a White Wine anyway :) In this cramped space they somehow manage to pack lots of local wines, but you really need to look up, down, & bend down to see all of the selection. They also have an extensive beer selection, but few imports. Behind the counter they have the usual harder stuff & have some good vodkas. It could be that you can find something here rather than at Haggen, Von's, or Cal Fresh. Anyway, sometimes you can find gems in dirt! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But the negativity is back and running rampant. This morning we needed coffee. The cashier was so rude, really short, no smile and the box of coffee pods was $16 to boot! Word to the wise. Their take on pho soup is especially well executed and has quickly become one of my favorite dishes. Coming from Los Angeles, where great pho is easy to find, it's refreshing to be able to enjoy a bowl on the Central Coast that's made properly and with such attention to flavor. So I had to travel through a dust storm again before finding a place that had an ATM or allowed to to get money without traveling all the way to the mall to get money from B of A. It was a Friday so it was crowded with people cashing their checks and some lady trying to add minutes to her pay as you go phone or switch providers or something. They charged .75 transaction and I was able to pull out 100$. Way better than going to a another bank and getting double charged and/or percentage of my withdrawal. They get another star for having some cute chicks working the registers.
