APRIL 2026 - MAJOR CHANGES I was told that within the last two weeks they changed over a lot of inventory and stopped carrying many of the items that I go there for. The prices have been significantly increased on what they do still carry. Absolutely outrageous pricing. I will say that the employees were absolutely wonderful. One noticed me looking around lost and spoke up to help me. The store itself was DIRTY today. There were clumps of dirty paper towels stuffed under the coolers (presumably to catch multiple leaking spots). This has been my go to grocery store for YEARS and I tolerated a lot of little issues (like expired meat often) but discontinuing carrying many staple grocery items that my home relies on is the final straw. I wanted to use my Stop & Shop scanner system today since my shopping was not going to be too much. But there was a weird glitch that did not load coupons, so off to management. I went only to find out that this was "apparently the first time this ever happened "actually, it happened to me the last time as well, so I'm not sure how much I lost in coupon discounts. That was enough for me - I'll be using the traditional cashier system today. Is it just me or are there no good value values left in a supermarket anymore? I am now reading every single label because the ingredients have become chemical laden. I'm absolutely disgusted by how many products are so over. Processed that they just don't feel real anymore This is not just the fault of Stop & Shop, but a whole corporation, the parent company of Stop & Shop should demand more of product suppliers. Only then will our food sources become clean again. What went right? The staff is very helpful. Special shout out to the gentleman at the deli department who sliced my order perfectly and presented it with a smile. I must've gotten there too early for some of the produce clearance items that are typically in the back of the store. Even those were expensive. I can't really figure out if the prices are elevated exclusively due to the tariffs and other inflationary practices, we are finding ourselves in or if supermarket chains are taking advantage of an already bad situation and getting greedy. Whatever the case, I was not impressed today. The store is clean, easy to navigate, and the staff is friendly. There's no real butcher anymore. I wanted to have my full pork roast, sliced ed and and was told they don't have a slicing machine. This is not the case of Shoprite. They do employ butchers there. All in all, I got what I needed but because the prices were so outrageous, I found myself passing everything on my wish list and just sticking to my must have list. Chicken quarters were on sale. $.99 per pound for the Stop & Shop label. Not My Favorite purchase, but it will do for today. I believe we are going to be finding many more empty shopping carts going through the checkout. Until food manufacturers stop fooling us with fake ingredients, I'm just making my own. read more

Went to pick up my groceries at the designated time. I waited about 15mins even though I was the only car waiting at the time. When the young lady arrived with my groceries she didn't greet me or make sure I was the right person, basically threw and slammed my grocery in the back of my trunk and went on her way. Very rude with a attitude. Pls do better with the hiring process. read more

This store constantly has issues with promotional sales and discounts with major cliches in applying applicable sales at check out. The customer service is almost non-existent. Expect to be ignored and experience a lack of integrity. I waited on line and was the only customer for quite a while and the customer service rep sifted through flyers and lottery tickets. In light of #thankyouthursday I'd like to extend a huge thank you to all of the employees who continue to do an amazing job. This has been a very trying year and supermarkets have really taken a beating at times. There have been crowds of people trying to get inside, food has been wiped out and employees have been faced with the possibility of exposure every single day. I'd like to especially thank you for the flawless online grocery pickup experiences. Our order is always correct, on time and extremely convenient. It's saved me time and allowed me to avoid hectic crowds. Thank you all for doing your part to keep us safe and keeping the shelves stocked so that we can feed our families. The layout of the store is awful. Makes no sense. Oils are in one aisle, vinegars in another. You walk around aimlessly trying to find where things are located. The app hasn't worked in months. Tired of the weekly audits. Not consumer friendly. It feels harassing. There are other stores to shop at, why go here? read more

I'm not much of a fan of Stop & Shop but this is the closest grocery store to my house, so I'm giving two stars for convenience. If not so close, would totally be one star. For starters, you always have to be extremely careful when purchase any grocery item from here. The freezers look dirty and uncared for, most of the items in them usually have freezer burn. When I was shopping for almond milk in the fridge section, another shopper alarmed me too closely look at the expiration dates. Sure enough, there was milk there about a week old. Another time I was shopping I saw an appealing sale on pomegranate so I figured I'd purchase one. When I got home and cut it, allll of the seeds were brown. The floors in this location are pretty dirty and look like they haven't been maintained in ages. Take caution lol read more

I will only go to this Stop & Shop if I can't find what I need on my way home from the Hannaford in LaGrange and/or Adams Fairacre Farms on Route 44. The main reason is the prices, which are significantly higher than either of the other stores except for weekly sales and loss-leaders. The store is filthy. Today there was paper and trash all over the place on the floor, as well as loose pieces of fruit and vegetables in the produce department. A lot of items in this area were also out of stock or poorly stocked. Over in the meat department, the fresh chicken was not the bright pink color I would have expected either. This store does have 7 self-checkouts, and for a change they were all working. And people were using them, believe me, because there were not enough cashiers staffing the other checkouts. This is one of the local Stop & Shops which tries to convince you you're saving money by offering you a discount on their gas (pumps at the other end of the lot). But if you do the math, you will discover that the amount of money you save on the gas is less than the amount of money you would save on the same meat, produce and groceries at Adams and Hannaford. read more

The service is amazing. I go in always looking for my favorite cashier Joe. He's the tall blonde Irish kid, you can't miss him. He reminds me of my son when he was younger. Always is nice and respectful. Glad to have a supermarket I to look forward to going to. read more

Stop and shop itself is okay but this location is ekkkkkkk. Super dirty, messy unorganized. Carts where all over the place. Some bad produce left out on shelves. No employees in sight. When I was there none of the scanners where charged. Super bummed read more

I have to say only go here because it's convenient. I had to use the rest room once and it was so nasty that I had to leave the store, you could get sick going in there, makes you wonder how they clean other things. I hope someone a manager sees this and cleans that nasty bathroom and over all the store is filthy dirt in all the corners it's just a nasty store. read more

Social distancing and the wearing of masks is not being enforced. I alerted the customer service desk there were people in the store not wearing masks and not social distancing. I found them standing a few inches from me with no masks on.I was told by the employee she was told they could not enforce it and if they tried to they would be fired! She said the employees are aware of it. Store has no respect for its customers and employees. They should be closed down. read more

I have been shopping there for quite sometime. In a pinch, I would buy chicken wings for parties, etc. They were good at one time but lately there is definitely a problem. Nasty, old, half frozen, half cooked, no meat. Horrible!!!!!! Sometimes Stop & Shop cooks the wings and sometimes you get Tyson. Whatever happened to breaded fried fresh wings? Regular not super hot? This is where I did them majority of my grocery shopping as a Vassar student. It was conveniently located for us and had pretty much everything we needed, including an entire aisle of weekly savings and deals. I'll never forget the 5 pounds of matzoh I bought there for 5 bucks... and then was unable to finish. read more

I don't have a problem with Stop & Shop as a whole. There is a good selection at this store, but some of the prices are just downright ridiculous. The bigger problem I have is with the cleanliness of the store. While the inside isn't usually too bad, the outside is often disgusting with trash littered all over the place. It's the closest store to my house, so I visit it on a regular basis, but if I am near another store, I will stop to save money. read more

This Stop and Shop is close to where I reside and in the last year I noticed a downhill trend..I think they changed managers or something..I go when the circulars have a decent meat and a few other products sale..I have had a few rude workers, one in the meat dept and a couple near the frozen food aisle. They seem to not want to be bothered, like you;re an inconvienence..Also an older female cashier is rude as well, and if you notice, a few departments are poorly stocked..If this continues I will have to find another place to stop & shop. read more

Overall this store is not to bad; the prices are alittle higher then the other grocery stores in the local area. Most of the time I shop here when they have something that I need on sale. The staff is hit or miss most are good but there are a few cashiers that I do avoid; due to fact that they are either to slow or tell you way to much about there personal life. I don't recommend using self scan when it's really busy unless you only have a few items, it never fails when I have a larger order they always seem to mess up. read more

Really bad first experience. Will never go again. Tried to look up ice at self checkout. Pressed button for assistance and the guy assigned wouldn't even look at us. The light was flashing. He kept talking to someone stocking something in the front end. We ended up walking out and leaving everything on belt since we were in a hurry. Train your front end staff better. If I want everything I need Adam's is #1 but for everyday shopping they are expensive. Stop'n Shop often has items I want but can't find at Rt 55's Hannaford BUT I don't particularly like shopping there: S&S is not very clean-nor often is the produce; 2) I abhor the chained baskets and having to searclh for quarters (as I do at Adam's but I hear it's a Poughkeepsie town rule); 3) the staff is horrid- you could be lying unconscious on the floor and there would be no help...needless to say few staff know anything about the merchandise...and bring a book while on line at the checkout counter. read more
