    Freshly washed at Stone's

Staff is friendly. Prices is right. $20. $17 for loyalty members. There is no extra charge for the membership program. You have a tub, warm water, good water pressure and 4 different choices of shampoo. After the wash, there are lots of towels, a blow dryer and brushes to dry and make your pup's fur fluffy again. My only complaint are that when we first get there, the tubs don't look like they were wiped clean from the last dog and that towels are old, grey and thin.

We absolutely love coming to stones pet wash, one of a kind! The staff are always welcoming and and the service is excellent. They have a limited selection of pet wash and towels. I highly recommend bringing your own supplies and calling ahead of time to make that they are open.

Mikayla and Jupiter do a fantastic job with my dog! He doesn't like around his feet trimmed and they are so patient with him!

I take my fur baby here for her bi monthly spa treatment of bath and light trim. She always looks fluffy cute and smells fresh. Makayla does a great job! She also has been there since Jon z( also a great groomer) left. I am a happy camper, and my baby girl always looks great!

Very convenient spot to wash our rough collie. I basically stopped taking her to the groomer because it is not worth it anymore.

Great service and reasonably priced. We are staying in PG for a month and will definitely go back when our dog gets dirty again!

Virginia took our call and was nice at first, let us know there was space the next day and seemed really flexible about drop-off, haircut options, etc. The next morning, we dropped him off. A couple hours later, we get a call letting us know he was ready to be picked up and was told to pick him up immediately because he was barking. Upon pickup, we noticed his hair wasn't really trimmed, it was still really long. It just looked like he got a bath and blowout. We had sent reference photos of a standard puppy cut we normally get for our puppy with our normal groomer, so wasn't sure why his hair was still so long. They said they will cut it shorter but will need another 30 minutes. After another 30 mins, Virginia called us back and very rudely said "you need to pick this dog up, this is the best we're going to be able to do and he's barking and annoying the other dogs." Her tone and demeanor were incredibly rude and unnecessary. What confused me is when we showed up for final pickup, we heard several dogs barking and none of them were the pup we dropped off, I wonder if they were getting similar phone calls. Though they were able to get his hair shorter, it was very poorly done. The legs and underbelly area are still really long and there are several areas where his hair length is uneven and awkward looking. They charged more than our normal groomer, did a really poor job, and Virginia treated us very rudely.

I submitted an online application asking for a smaller dog and my preference for a poodle mix. They responded within a couple of days, as I recall, and asked a few more questions. After a few days, they contacted me with a possible match, explaining he was a senior poodle mix with a few medical issues. They work closely with Hitchcock Animal Services (county shelter) and had several dogs that had issues and needed a rescue with a strong foster program. They brought "Bernie" over, and I became a foster mom with full support from AFRP. They provided guidance and everything from beds/blankets to toys and even food! They provided the vet services to help Bernie be the best dog he could be. They invited me to various events (and even a TV spot!) to show off Bernie but unfortunately dogs with medical issues can be a little harder to get adopted. So after six months, I fell in love and became a "foster win" and adopted him. To this day, AFRP considers me part of their alumni family and invites me to activities such as local parades or fun events. They have a variety of dogs and cats, young to old, healthy to some having medical challenges, and work hand-in-hand with several shelters to help find fosters and ultimately final homes! I found their offices to be clean and functional, although if they were bigger, they could help more animals. I use Yelp frequently and know I make decisions based on reviews. I wanted to provide a positive and more recent outcome than some older comments which I feel are no longer applicable. The last note I will make is that as of 2024, they have new executive and support staff who are fantastic. So please consider discovering this great local rescue organization. AFRP have been around for a while but today, I find they are an excellent organization always improving on their processes and staff. So please GO FOSTER! It's fun, rewarding, and inexpensive. You get lots of love in return.
