They will steal all your deposit and charge you 1500 at the end of the lease they said i left the place a mess even tho the guy who did the pre move out inspection said it looked clean before they said it was 650 dollars to paint the whole apartment and i left it a mess, which i didnt and deep cleaned it right before i left. Believe the reviews! I lived there 3 years and cannot recommend this place. They are trying to charge us $600 to replace the carpet, $400 to repaint, and $235 cleaning fee. We are 2 people with no pets and no kids. We had no stains on the carpet, only ordinary wear and tear in the hallway walking to the bedrooms. We were scared to use nails in the walls for fear of holes so used mostly tacks with only maybe 10 small nails in total. We didn't run into any walls or have any dents. They threatened to take us to collections if we didn't pay this within 14 days even though we hadn't (and still haven't!) heard from the Customer Care team in that time about our dispute. The parking is terrible. Something is always closed - a laundry room or two, the pool, gym, etc. Laundry prices increase regularly. I have called the office 7 times throughout the 3 years and never got anyone to pick up. And I've only had someone call me back ONCE and that was regarding my move out. Once they have everything settled to get you into the apartment, they stop caring about you. The walls are so thin you can hear everything! I'm not convinced there is any insulation at all. You can hear the people outside even if they're just talking, your neighbor's tv, etc. I have never seen the security service that apparently patrols. And they come to inspect the apartment so often! They give a 9-6 window but sometimes they show up, and sometimes they don't. And they definitely do not always abide by the 24 hour notice they are legally obligated to provide. Stoneridge is the expert at the "landlord special". They just paint over hairs, leave paint drips down the cabinets, and definitely expect them to overpaint so there is some on the floors. All of the drawers and cabinets are sticky because they just add another layer of paint after each tenant. Save yourself the heartache and just don't move here. Edit: Now the business owner is falsely claiming we have not contacted them, which is simply untrue. We have plenty of emails with Stoneridge directly and then they directed us to CustomerCare@mgproperties.com, which the other tenant on the lease has contacted but has not received a response. They have never directed us to residentrelations@mg.properties.com so if that is the proper channel, then your employees need some retraining. read more

PLEASE IF YOU LISTEN TO ANY REVIEW PLEASE LET IT BE THIS ONE. STAY FAR AWAY !!!!! I'm not one to leave a review but the lack of maintenance on these units is horrible. We moved in February of 2024 shortly after my kids kept getting sick after multiple doctors visits we couldn't figure out why after doing my own research we looked in our living room ac vent and found mold upon taking off the vent dead roaches fell out from the ven when we moved in it was easy to tell there was a roach infestation from the prior resident but this just proved it (turned out to be brown mold after doing our own air test/ swab test since they lied on their results) also the amount of dust being blown out of the ac unit was enough in general to make you sick I would need to dust at least twice a week. After finding the mold I sent an email to the community manager in June 2024 (Amber who no longer works there go figure) I never got a response I sent a follow up email stating I was going to get code enforcement involved as well as the city if I didn't get a response back this was the beginning of August (never got a response). I ended up making a post on the upland community page and come to find out there are multiple tenants who are dealing with mold issues and being sick management does absolutely nothing or makes you think they are and lies about results. After getting code enforcement involved we finally received an email from management after having their vendor "GMS" who is working on a suspended business license tell us "nothing was wrong" but parts of the ac unit needed to be ripped out and "replaced" why if nothing was wrong. I ended up getting my own mold test done and came back as brown mold and a few other things. We ended up giving our 30 day notice after nothing was being done at the end of August. Code enforcement gave them until September 5th to fix the issue or they were going to be fined code enforcement reached out to us as they weren't getting a response from management and they needed to do another inspection. We let them know they had in fact not done any work on the apartment and we decided to do a 3 day quit we no longer wanted to give our money to this greedy apartment complex. Moral of the story they don't take care of their property and they definitely don't deserve your hard earned money look elsewhere or your going to regret moving here. read more

The office is always busy when you call. And the young girls in the office have a big-time attitude. In 2014 when we lived here it was great. Now it is not the same at all. Since coming back to this complex in 2019 It has done a complete 180. Let me start off by saying even though the staff is good, the apartments themselves are terrible. The biggest issues here are the roaches. So bad in fact that the damn roaches come out during daylight. When we did the walk through before getting the apartment, there were roaches, roach eggs and roach dropping. The promise was to be rid of them and is still hasn't happened. I have attached picture to prove what I am saying. And yes treatment has been done several times, 5 so far I believe. To make things worse, is that 3/4 apartments in my sections ALL SMOKE! And when they drink beer they leave their cans on the floor. And you can smell the of cigarette thru the walls at times. Inviting people over is embarrassing because the quality of residents and roach problem is horrendous. Once my contract is done I am out of here. Please don't look here for apartments. $2000 a month for roaches? Even after all this my rent was still raised. The pictures attached are from when we moved in and some are as recent at last night. RENTERS BEWARE!! The reviews are 1000% true. This place is the biggest scam. Maintenance is not attentive whatsoever. It takes multiple requests before they finally send incompetent workers who don't even attempt to fix the issue. Upon moving out, they charged me almost $1,000 for wear and tear issues. Keep in mind that I lived alone with no children or pets. I left the apartment in the best shape and they still decided to keep all of my deposit and charge me $200 on top that. My wife and I have lived here for far too long, and not because we wanted to, but because we needed a place to live. This apartment is not ADA compliant. There are not sidewalk wheelchair ramps, and mostly all of the apartment entryways have a step up to get inside which makes it extremely difficult if you are in a wheel chair. They have had to go as far as designating standard resident parking as "reserved" to address ADA issues since they lack handicap parking, or their golf carts are always blocking the spots. I do not even know where to begin with this review, but I can tell you the photos on the apartments page are all incorrect and in no way depict what the apartment actually looks like. It is essentially false advertising. That being said, although the staff in the rental office may appear to be nice and hospitable, they are simply there to take your money. When we signed our move out paperwork, the office signed the document stating we would receive a pre-move out inspection for November 1st. I will say again, this document was signed by me, and the office staff. On November 1st, I waited for maintenance to arrive for the inspection, and they never did. There is constantly police activity within the apartment complex. So much so, I had to provide video to the police after a shooting since my in-home cameras picked up the shooting near our apartment. (video can be provided upon request) Maintenance literally uses a vacuum that they have modified specifically to clear out the air conditioner drain. Once this drain, that runs underneath the flooring in the apartment gets clogged, water starts seeping through the floor causing the carpet to become wet. This has occurred multiple times in our apartment, and since they have this vacuum specifically modified for this purpose, I guarantee it happens in other apartments as well. Because of this water issue, I guarantee the floor underneath the carpet is moldy. I say this because the wood floor boards near our air conditioner unit became so wet that it was warping and pulling away from the wall. When I brought this issue to the attention to the maintenance staff, they simply used caulking to hide the fact the board was coming off the wall. The problem became so bad, they cut a hole in the wall inside the AC unit closet, cut the pipe, and tried to clear it out that way. Besides the lack of maintenance, there is always something going on in someones apartment. When maintenance or office staff drives their golf carts, they will always block resident parking and then claim they can do whatever they want because they work there. They have even gone as far as blocking the stairs and handicap parking places, and when questioned about it, they gave the excuse that they work there so they have the right to park wherever they want. The cost for laundry has increased to $2 per wash and $1.25 for the dryer. Yet, the machines are constantly broken and take forever to get repaired. (photos attached). There are so many people trying to use the laundry room, that the machines are always taken, and people constantly leave the clothes in the machines for hours causing no one to be able to do their laundry. The apartment does not care whether people are smoking in the common areas, whether it be a cigarette or marijuana. They claim that they cannot tell residents they are not allowed to smoke marijuana because its legal in the state. Yet in the contract it states that activities that are disruptive to others are not permitted. Well, not being able to keep your windows open because of marijuana and cigarette smoke wafting inside, is a disruption and needs to be addressed. The contact further states that all pets must be leashed, and the dog feces needs to be picked up. Yet there are constantly dogs roaming around without their owner, pooping all over the sidewalks and common areas and no one does anything about it. To address the issue of animals, the apartment built a dog run which is meant for dogs. It started out as grass, and then they covered it in sand. Kids are constantly playing in the dog run and climbing on the dog equipment and no one picks up their animal waste in the run, even though bags are provided. Because of this, the kids that play in there are undoubtedly tracking feces and urine everywhere they go. A lot of residents refuse to use the dog run because no one picks up their animals waste. If you I must break the lease, they WILL charge you $3668. This may change per resident, but I cannot verify that since I only know about my own lease. Do not under any circumstances try to break your lease because they will make you pay nearly $4000 for it, even if they have already re-rented the apartment as in our case. We were not even fully moved out and Virginia in the office informed me the apartment was already re-rented. So now they are getting double the money for the apartment because of what we had to pay and what the new resident has to pay. read more

This apartment complex is absolutely terrible. They rent to people that belong in a sanctuary city. Every morning I would see empty beer bottles and cans strewn around the property as well as trash. The laundry rooms and washers were filthy. You are charged a monthly fee for pest control which does no good. Parking is a joke. The parking lot for residents is always full. Cars are broken into almost daily. Residents are charged for the complex utilities (gas, electric, pool heating, etc. If this place sounds ok to you then you get what you deserve. Constantly breaking and out of order, with some machines out of order for months. Lucky if I can find more than two working washers in the laundry room. Dont move in guys, they lie about what goes on there. They took my deposit and said i could get it back if i changed my mind. I then spoke to one of the tenants and they said thay the cops are there frequently, and theres homeless people walking around the premises. One tenant stated she wouldnt let her kids play outside. When i asked for my deposit back they said no, because it was past 24 hrs but when i requested it back it was only past by 6 hours. Been living at these apartments for almost a year and overall has been a pretty good experience! Makyla at front office has been EXTREMELY helpful and informative through living here, she has been very nice and informative for any of our needs. Move in process was very easy and Alex did a great job helping us move in on time and with everything we needed. Maintenance always does a good job with any requests and have been surprised how quick they are with any requests. The Community surrounding is not the best... not a great area and parking can be a hassle if you have two cars. Overall great service and staff in office and maintenance. read more

I get called on my vacation to replace carpet because I had a pet. If you have pets never move to Stoneridge apartments. They will use having pets as an excuse to use your deposit and take more money. And this place is full of roaches. This is how good paying tenants are treated once they move out. I've been a Stoneridge resident for 6 months now. In the 6 months, I've acquired some pros and cons of the place. Let's start with the pros... Pro: The complex is very clean and very quiet. Occasionally you'll get the squeal of a motorcycle driving by or the kids playing by the pool, but it's not that big of a deal. CENTRAL AIR!! I came from an apartment that only had the an AC unit that sat in the living room. You can only imagine summer nights trying to get any sleep in the bedroom. It was dreadful. Decks/Patios are a big plus where, especially if you have pets who love being outdoors. You have free range of what you decide to do to your patio, bottom floor especially. Add grass, garden, rocks, etc. This was a plus for me, because having grass in my patio area is a must for my pups. (BBQ's excluded) Stoneridge is a pet friendly community! Keep in mind they do offer pet restrictions. The pets around here are all very quiet for the most part. They just added some agility courses in the dog run which is great! Though I wish they would have kept the grass instead of adding gravel. Not soft on the pads of the pups feet. The unit selections are of great variety. Depending on the area of the complex, the units will very by type. I believe there are about 4 different types of units that Stoneridge offers. The office is open Sunday - Saturday. You can speak with the staff daily with any concerns, pay rent or pick up your packages. Oh! And complimentary snacks and beverages! The staff does hold some small community events for everyone. Which is great to bring the Stoneridge community together! You'll see the maintenance crew golf carting around the area, making sure the complex is looking good. Now onto the cons... Con: Upon move in, make sure YOU have your ducks in a row. The staff doesn't have too much communication with one another, which makes it a little difficult. It's best to keep all of your paperwork in order and filed to prep for any clutter they may run into. Ask questions about the numbers and triple check everything is correct upon move in day. Call ahead to make sure your unit is ready to move in to. When I first got approved, I was given my apartment unit and approval letter two months before move in day. When the day arrived, the unit wasn't ready. The night before, they hadn't completed painting or had any cleaning taken care of. On my move in day, they had barely finished painting and cleaning the apartment. Because they were still doing this, the staff was trying to keep me and my girlfriend out until later in the day. At this time, our week was time stricken to manage with trips from and with family. You can only imagine how frustrating it was to us to be kept out of our unit. We weren't given a walk through to find any prior damages, so the old damages? We'll get docked for. Stray cats are a problem. The first two months we had stray cats fighting on our fence at 3AM. And even found out another resident was feeding the stray cats. Parking is a nightmare. Come home after 6pm? Good luck finding anything besides your carport. (TIP: if you have another person living with you, when spots open up, have them park and save a spot for you. This helps A LOT) The water in the shower is not consistent. You have three options, ideal, ice cold or boiling hot. Sinks are perfect, but the shower is just not working. They say they're working on it, but I've seen no difference. When I first moved in, I noticed about 9 of our wall plug ins were old and were no longer good. At this point, you're asking for a fire. I reached out to the staff to have this repaired, about a week later they sent one of their maintenance guys over. Very friendly and easy to talk to, huge plus. We're told by him directly, that the office manager stated to not have the outlets replaced if there is still electricity being produced. Thankfully, he knew the dangers and hazards of lose outlets and he went completely out of his way to fix all but one. That last one needs it, but not nearly as bad as the other 8 that needed it. While the manager was trying to kick him out of our unit, via phone call, he happily replaced our outlets. You can only imagine the relief we got after he did it. Overall, the community is great. Staff could use a little extra touch up in organizing and safety. Parking needs to be fixed, badly. And finally, the units feel like home and are well kept up. It's weird to think this place is an apartment community. Feels more like a town home. Don't hesitate to visit the staff and take a tour around the community to learn more about it yourself. NO they are unprofessional, rude never return calls because you call and they never answer the phone you must leave a message. During the exiting process it was the worst inspection to exit was scheduled they never showed up didn't even bother to call and let me know they weren't showing up. I get a call days later that it wasn't done when I thought it had been done. After me expressing my frustration I was hung up on! Called back left message no call back. The move out date was 5/18/23 I get call the day off at 5:20pm stating that if keys are not turned on I will be charged daily. Nothing such was expressed to me or explained all of a sudden there will be additional charges...NOT! The fact that you have to deal with this trust me there are far better locations to live at. Trying to search for a new apartment during Covid was a huge challenge. We checked out 4 different places before we found Stoneridge. One of the reasons we decide to move here was the because of Dickson, the leasing consultant. I can already notice the difference with the standard of service when I wanted to schedule an appointment to view different apartments from different properties; one manager just gave us forms to fill and we were told to look at photos online. Another place told us that the ad for the apartment (which is still live on Craigslist) is no longer available. Scheduling an appointment with Stoneridge was a breeze thanks to Dickson. I was also sent reminders via SMS and email. And when me and my wife got there, Dickson was friendly and professional. He personally showed us the showroom apartment (with masks on of course) and he answered all our questions. He also gave us tips on how to secure the apartment fast if we like it and he was patient with our questions. And lastly, I would like to mention Dickson is very responsive. Any email my wife sent to Dickson was replied the same day and thus things got done the same day too! :D So far I am liking our new place. There are a lot of different, quality restaurants and you don't have to drive far to buy groceries. I was surprise that the property is actually pretty quiet considering there is a lot of families living here :) The place was also very clean when we move in! All we need to do now is unpack and make a trip to Ikea. :D The only downside I can think of is moving during Covid. After almost a year working from home and suddenly having to move a bed up a flight of stairs was brutal. My back is still aching while I am typing this haha. PS: Shout out to the maintenance guy. From the beginning with my recent tour last month along with the great services I was helped along the way with the application process and now I'm loving my new apartment home. Update: I moved out after my year lease. My security deposit? Gone. We didn't abuse the place. We actually took really good care of our apartment. But when I had the maintenance guy do the pre-inspection he said don't bother cleaning because we'll be charged regardless. Um, ok. He also said that the carpet would need to be replaced because of our dog, his reasoning was "what if a family moves in that has a small baby that's allergic to dogs?". Really specific example but sure. He said that they do that for all apartments with pets. When I asked how much that would be he said about $600 for the entire apartment. Mind you, our deposit was $550 total. $300 regular deposit + $250 pet deposit. Cut to a month later I receive an invoice for $475 from Stoneridge Apartments. They repainted, recarpeted, and cleaned that totaled over $1000. If you know that you're going to recarpet every apartment that has pets, charge me that security deposit upfront. The only reason I live here (as I'm sure most of the people here) is because it was the cheapest rent I was able to find near Rancho Cucamonga for a 1 BD, 1 BA. From my time here so far I've seen a few roaches, a police chase end behind my apartment at the car ports, and possibly a stolen package (said it was delivered on UPS but it was nowhere to be found). A few things that if I knew about at purchase, I might have went looking elsewhere. -- Quality. There's a lot of things inside the apt I know I will end up having to pay for just because the quality of everything is awful and deteriorates so quickly. The paint they use on all the drawers is TERRIBLE. It's clearly the cheapest option for them that's why they chose it, but it's guaranteed to get stained and YOU'LL be having to pay for it at the end of the lease. I even put a lining inside of the drawers that way they wouldn't get beat up, but of course the paint is so awful that it just made it so much worse (shown in pics below). -- The noise. As anywhere, some people that live here are careless.. especially the ones who feel the need to rev their car and speed throughout the car ports at any time day or night. It's like they specifically wait until they get inside the complex to be obnoxious and speed around every corner with their screeching tires. Completely disregarding that I don't know... some people sleep? Have babies/kids? -- Space. Unfortunately, my rent is close to $1,500 and I don't even have a backyard or central A/C. If you get yourself in this situation like me, expect to only have 2 real storage cabinets (shown in pics below) besides basic drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. Oh & guess what! There's no kitchen pantry... which is like... a must for most people or families. -- PARKING. This will be pretty much be one of the WORST issues you will face living here. They say parking is bad anywhere, but if you live here and have 2 cars, finding parking will be a HUGE daily issue especially if you get home from work any later than 3:30-4pm. You'll be stuck having to park across the street in front of someone's house putting your car at risk of theft or an angry homeowner. Don't forget you'll have to run across the street the next morning in order to get to your car and drive to work. Nothing like a little fresh morning jog before work. Bottom line - you get what you pay for. It's definitely not the worst place to live I'll give you that, but my expectation when I first toured the place was a lot higher than what was actually the realistic outcome 6 months later. Do not move here it is a terrible place office people are so rude hang up on you maintenance doesn't no what they are doing one doesn't even speak English can't even help you they hire people to come fix stuff that are not even license the rent is ridiculous for the place they don't fix anything like they should I was without air conditioning for one month in a half I moved out because they didn't fix what was supposed to be fixed no parking no security like they say they have washers and dryers they have you pay for in facilities are so dirty people break in cars steal them homeless in the trash cans you can never get a hold of the office when you call they charge ridiculous amounts when you move out like they have certified people doing the work this place should not be renting to anyone the ladies in the office must not like there job cause they are rude so why do they even work there people always fighting in other apartments they fix stuff that is so unnecessary do no move here or even apply this place is horrible no one is happy living here read more
