Our family has lived at Solamonte for a few years and has had a front row seat to the steady decline of the quality of life here. There are a handful of issues to consider before you decide whether or not Solamonte is worth it: Trash - Recently management has switched to daily trash pickup. This was a much needed change, but issues with the trash still persist. I spoke to the city of Rancho, and they acknowledged that they receive complaints often about the trash at Solamonte. The dumpsters are overflowing, and the maintenance workers are often seen tending to this issue. There simply is not enough space for dumpsters for the amount of people living here. I would be especially wary of renting an apartment in close proximity to the dumpster area. Cockroaches/Rat - This issue is mostly likely due to the state of cleanliness here. Overflowing dumpsters, trash bins, dog waste, etc. Roaches are seen scurrying along the walkways, especially during night time hours, and we have had to kill more than one that has made its way into our bathtub/sink. Our first 1-2 years living here it was never a problem. Also, our neighbor's cat killed two large rats in the last month alone. There are traps located near the dumpsters and around the buildings, but it doesn't appear that these are monitored. Pool/Hot Tub - No doubt if you take a tour here, the management will gush about the salt water pool and spa. Pool rules are rarely enforced, with people having loud, large parties over the weekend that subsequently leads to the pool being shut down during the week because the filter has been clogged by someone's street clothes in the pool. And good luck finding a lounge chair. I have witnessed the amount of lounge chairs dwindle to half of what existed just 6 months ago. They fall apart and the maintenance crew quietly removes the broken chairs and management never replaces them. Game Room/Gym - Solamonte put in a nice, new Echelon Reflect that worked all of two weeks. The other equipment is dirty and needs to be replaced. When we first moved (under a different management company) maintenance cleaned these rooms and equipment daily. Not so much now. And, while Solamonte has graciously added pool sticks for tenants to use, Ski-ball and Fooseball are broken. Security - there used to be a nightly security guard to walk the grounds, as well as a number to call after hours if tenants had any concerns (noise complaints, etc.). This service quietly went away. The gates (particularly the 6th Street entrance) is often broken, providing transients to cut through the middle of the complex. There are not lock/passkeys on the 7th Street door entrance (seriously, they've used a closet door handle for that one). Parking - parking has always been somewhat of a headache here, but read carefully the other reviews about Solamonte's new parking policy. It's not good. You can pay even more money to secure a spot (in addition to your monthly rent), park on the street outside the complex (which is overflowing with other residents' cars), or risk being towed. It would be nice if they issued parking permits or something, a perfectly reasonable solution, but instead Solamonte has made a bad situation worse. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism displayed by Stephanie and the property management team. Their enforcement of community rules appears to be inconsistent and selective. While the lease agreement clearly outlines parking policies, these rules are not being applied fairly to all residents. I have personally experienced what feels like targeted enforcement. Other tenants with the same vehicle-related situation as mine are still being allowed to park without issue, yet I am being denied that same consideration. Despite providing photo evidence to support my concerns and demonstrate the inconsistency, I have not received any clear or official explanation as to why my vehicle is being treated differently. Additionally, communication has been abruptly cut off. My emails have gone unanswered, leaving me without clarification or resolution. Professional property management should prioritize transparency, fairness, and open communication with residents. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Public Notice - Solamonte Apartments (Rancho Cucamonga) I want to share my experience with Sola Monte Apartments in Rancho Cucamonga so other renters are aware. Sola Monte recently changed their parking policy without giving proper notice to residents. My household followed all instructions and submitted all required vehicle registration documentation for both of our vehicles as requested. Despite this: We were informed the day before the new policy went into effect--when they planned to begin towing vehicles--that one of our registered vehicles would not be allowed to park on-site We were told it would be subject to towing, even though all information had already been provided There was no written notice, no advance warning, and no opportunity to correct or appeal the issue We acted in good faith and complied with every request, yet we were still placed at immediate risk of having a vehicle towed through no fault of our own. Changing policies that directly affect residents' property--especially with something as serious as towing--without reasonable notice or clear communication is unacceptable. This situation caused unnecessary stress and disruption and shows a lack of consideration for tenants. I strongly encourage anyone considering renting here to ask detailed questions about parking policies, notice requirements, and enforcement practices before signing a lease. For the low low price of $2,500 + you too can experience luxury living at Solamonte. The apartments are tastefully done with filthy carpet, peeling paint and average appliances. You can enjoy the full Solamonte luxury experience where you can hear your neighbors talk through the paper thin walls, throw ragers on their balcony at all hours of the night, blast their music and TVs, drive like psychos in the parking lot, smoke cigarettes and pot in the units and the balconies, leave their dog poop all over the grass and listen in as they beat the absolute living crap out of each other and have the cops show up on a regular basis. You can enjoy the children at play all afternoon in the summer, as they play with balls that smack into parked cars and garage doors without a care in the world while they scream at the top of their lungs without a parent in sight! They are just being kids! Convenience is a top priority at Solamonte. You can have your garage blocked by people who leave their cars unattended for hours on end and illegally in the fire lane. But don't worry - when you try to call the Towing Company they'll tell you they can't do anything about it unless management calls and let's be serious, they never answer the phone or reply to emails because they are too busy trying to sell this luxury experience! You can enjoy the stunning views of the San Gabriel mountains. If birds are your thing, you've come to the right place! This community allows hundreds and hundreds swallows to make filthy disgusting mud filled nests along your window and not do a thing about it! Then, the birds tastefully crap all over the windows, giving you something special to look at as you sip your morning coffee. And don't you worry, the bird poop is here to stay - Solamonte thinks it a nice added touch to the overall luxury experience! If you're a lover of the great outdoors - Solamonte is too! They love to bring the outdoors inside with mice, cockroaches, wasps and spiders - oh my! And don't worry - there is never a permanent solution to your issue. Solamonte is all about a "quick fix!" But if bugs and rodents are not your thing you better make sure you get to the office before Tuesday. That is when the pest control comes if you miss them - you are SOL until the following week! If you love to liter then Solamonte will be perfect for you! People leave their trash scattered throughout the parking lots and sidewalks without a care in the world! It adds to the overall luxury of the living experience! Here you never have to worry about walking to get your mail. Thieves get it for you - so thoughtful! They destroy the mail boxes and take all your personal information - now that's true attention to detail. Safety is their number 1 priority! The "gates" are always breaking, allowing all the homeless and wanderers to come in off the street - talk about inclusivity! The patrol is never here because they are too busy fighting off the bad guys - don't expect them to show up until an hour later - they are short staffed you guys! So we toured Solomante and other apartments the beginning of August 2025. We ultimately chose Solomante because of the unit we toured. It had a beautiful balcony that was a dealbreaker from the rest of the other apartments. So we applied, payed our holding deposit for this specific apartment. They ran our credit, we signed all leasing documents for this unit, and we were approved! So we bought furniture, set up our Edison electricity account & WiFi plan, bought renters insurance, told our current landlord we are moving, and packed up all of our stuff. 2 days before move in date, they call us and said the apartment is not available anymore. They were not transparent and did not want to tell us why. The most they said is that it was a maintenance issue that would take more than a month to fix and it is their policy to not give details. They said the only thing they could do was give us a "comparable" unit at the same rate. To them this was acting in our best interest and that we should be grateful for the "comparable" units they are offering. Their definition of comparable unit will shock you. The unit they offered was either near the famous disgusting trash dumpster, or next to the Main Street where it is so noisy they put some sort of glass on the "balcony" to barricade the noise. I put balcony in quotes because this was not a balcony. You don't get fresh air and you don't get a view, and it's entirely enclosed. After speaking to the manager they also offered another unit that is a bit bigger, no balcony, near the noisy street, BUT has a front entrance patio that other people "shouldn't be entering." These units they offered were DRASTICALLY different than the agreed upon unit we signed for. Even Keith the leasing agent agreed with me that the balcony is drastically different. You can imagine how furious me and my soon to be wife were. We are not crazy people who leave reviews from every bad experience we have. We both have solid careers , solid credit, and decided to move to Rancho Cucamonga because of how well we are doing right now. I decided to leave this review because I felt an obligation to share my experience to others. At first we were hesitant about moving here because of the reviews. We decided not to give them much weight but man I wish we listened. Learn from my mistakes and avoid this place. Other things that made this experience horrible was that Solamonte management was very difficult to get in contact with, they refuse to tell us why the apartment was getting taken away from us, they won't put anything in writing, they didn't make a compromise with us such as letting us live at the "comparable" unit until the other unit is available, did not show any empathy for the amount of stress they caused, admitted to me that this is not a rare thing that happens and to quote Stephanie the Community manager "other people are pretty okay with the switch." I'll let you guys decide if this would be something you'd be okay with. Solamonte wasted our time, breached the contract, hit our credit, caused us so much stress, gas, and money. It's just not worth the hassle to commit living here for a long time if this is the treatment you'll get. Thankfully we were able to get our money back. We are taking this as a sign from the universe to stay away and we are thankful we dodged a bullet. Solamonte, No you are not sorry, no their isn't anything you can do to make this post disappear, being hesitant and not replying to my emails makes me believe you did something illegal, you are extremely suspicious, and yes I did file a complaint with the State, housing authority and considering lawsuits. read more

She told us the place was very peaceful, and it has been. They showed us the gym and yoga area and have been a part of our daily routine. The green areas are constantly being cleaned and pruned. I used to love living here. But parking has ALWAYS been an issue. I pay for a garage and in front is a fire lane. No one seems to care about that. I have a hard time pulling my car in and out but no one is ever monitoring the "fire lanes" maintenance is always around and since they work for the apartments I would hope they'd be the voice of the "community " but they sure don't care. So glad I'm out of this place. Brought my complaint up several times, even my neighbors had the same issues and nothing ever changed. If you need something don't call they never answer the phone, going in would be the best but they don't help you either way and make the problem your fault, I haven't had AC in 2 weeks and their response is that I'm complaining it's not cool enough for me when it doesn't cool below 80, so ironic how when you go into the office they have theirs set to 70 but me letting them know the AC doesn't get cooler then 80 is me complaining. I will say the first company that came out the guys were awesome, they came at the time I said I was leaving but asked if they can meet my dog and both of the guys got down on the floor and played with him so he wasn't scared, the whole time they were here they talked to him and made him feel ok, awesome job on their part but they have nothing to do with the people who work here. The worst place to live. The Management group changed and it somehow became worse. Parking is a mess. Garages and parking spaces always blocked. The security doesn't do anything to make residents feel at peace. Police are always here. Rent goes up but the quality keeps going down. Homeless in the community areas. Homeless sleeping in the gym. Rats running all over and NOTHING is maintained. I've had rats in my addict for 4 months and I was just given rat traps to deal with it. i have lived here for 7 months let me save you the trouble, i will be updating later tonight with details. i used to go to the pool every weekend and read. i have personally met people that do not reside here have bbqs with 7+ people yet i was the only one approached and accused of having too many people there (mind you i live alone and had one friend with me you're allowed two, we were conversing with my neighbors making new friends). stephanie shewmaker, office manager came out and told me and my "friends" to leave the area for breaking the rules. i asked which rule i broke and my neighbor even defended me stating he was a resident himself not a visitor. long story short i did not leave because i live here and shortly after my fob was turned off i could not retrieve my mail or go to the restroom by the pool. i went into the office to ask why they did this and they refused to answer or speak to me but instead only responded to my friend (a non resident) when she repeated my questions. i have a 15 minute video of this interaction ! it resulted in stephanie calling the cops saying i was trespassing and i spent the day in jail. i have never been to jail in my life. the cop released me later and dropped the trespassing charge as that would never hold in court. the following day i emailed corporate and they assured me they would look into the situation. instead ... 3 days later i was left an eviction notice for 3 days to leave. 1. i am a single woman in a 3 bedroom lets be realistic and 2 retaliation on a tenant is illegal. little do these pee brains know i went to criminal justice school. i was scared to leave my home, go to the office for help or even read my book at the pool. ive been bullied at my own home for months. i lawyered up and won against their false eviction. my next step is now finding a new home and then seeking justice by counter suing each person that signed in support of that eviction. mind you before moving here i shared with leo that my last apartment flooded and i lost everything and i had to live out of hotels and i was simply tired and wanted to stay here for years ! leo also signed in support of my eviction stating he was a witness to my "erratic behavior". he lied in support of his fellow coworkers and since then has refused to schedule any maintenance requests i put in. Anytime i go to the office they threaten to call the police. not to mention the rats that come because they decided to not pick up my trash as well, i have pictures of that too. my neighbor offered to put my trash with theirs, sad ! When i texted the office they ignored me at first but i kept on and then they referred me to a third party contractor saying the trash wasn't their problem and i would have to reach out to them myself ? The same people they hired. This is just the tip of their wrong doings. i will be updating this with pictures and videos once i get the okay from my lawyer. Another issue for all residents- THE KIOSK HAS BEEN DOWN FOR OVER 3 months but their priority is bringing food trucks?? I can't even retrieve packages, visitors, or food deliveries. This place is actually pathetic. The movie area doesn't even work lol. Gated community but they keep multiple gates open constantly may as well take them down. Honestly, everything here has been perfect. We just moved in and are already so happy with our choice to make Solamonte our home. The office staff, Myriam and Leo, have been super responsive and helpful with our move. I called several times between us applying and moving in and every time, the team seamlessly gave us a quick response and was able to answer all of our questions. Super friendly! When my finance called they lied saying Thomas didn't tell us that and are denying the referral fee because "proper steps weren't taken". Don't move here. Didn't have a mailbox for 3 months, parking is a nightly disaster, maintenance requests regularly get closed without actually getting fixed, cockroaches. Yes you have the normal stuff like kids screaming at a pool and other things caused by the tenants, but this management group truly does not care about their residents. If you send an email they will barely read it and respond without answering your question/concern in any way. At one point they replaced all of the smoke detectors in the apartments, didn't do it correctly, and all of the smoke detectors in the complex started going off constantly and through the night and had to be replaced/repaired. I would give this place ZERO stars!!! If you're looking into renting here, RUN AWAY!!! The miss informed and miscommunication between all staff members is completely UNPROFESSIONAL! Many staff members involved and all gave us WRONG and MISLEADING Information! I have never been so HUMILIATED in my life! Not the kind of place you can trust! Thomas gave us no options or solutions for his mistake! He only gave us an ultimatum, take the wrong apartment or wait two weeks for bigger apartment at a higher monthly payment. He gave us a story on how he was gone for two weeks and he doesn't know what happened or how we got wrong information. We applied for apartment floor pan1, however, Thomas emailed us the "wrong" floor plan (floor plan 2, ERROR number one!). Yet Thomas had the audacity to blamed us for their mistake, saying, "you didn't apply for a bigger apartment". Even if we applied for a smaller floor plan, Thomas himself emailed us a copy of the WRONG floor plan! We scheduled an appointment for a walkthrough, Leo showed us the WRONG apartment (floor plan 2) ERROR #2! When were they going to realize they made a mistake in showing us something we didn't apply for?!? Instead they kept misleading us and making us think we were getting floor plan 2! Had they shown us the correct floor plan from the beginning, we would've prevented getting this far! It would have been our choice to accept or decline the smaller apartment if it was not to our liking. We literally packed up all of our belongings, gave up the place we lived in prior (which is about an hour away from solamente), loaded our cars, hired a moving company and drove to Solamonte, only to find out we were screwed! Leo took us to see our "apartment" and it wasn't even ready! There was a cleaning lady still sweeping trash!!! Thomas didn't make an effort to fix the situation! I'm not angry at the fact we didn't get to move in, I'm ANGRY at how this situation was handled! He literally allowed us to walk away with no solution, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY FOR WHAT HE PUT IS THROUGH!!!Wrong on so many levels. Like other reviewers have said... RUN AWAY!! applied for this apartment complex and have received no response. We have called several times and left several messages. And nothing. We have texted to various numbers provided and no response. We have gone to the facility and the door has been locked. I repeat LOCKED!! We parked and they would walk to the door lock it then just ignore you knocking. paid $52 each for an application and have been completely ignored. I want my money returned, as the service requested was not provided. Started off fine got a walk through no problems... but then they are all gone! Forgetting like it never happened. Misleading, unprofessional, and a business that needs to be reported asap! All yelpers who wanted to give less than a one star are not wrong. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! If I could give no stars I would We called maintenance more than 3 times to fix AC issue in both bedrooms and it was never fixed. AC never works in the bedrooms. Plumbing sucks! Bathtubs do not drain properly, it took hours for it to drain all the way. Our garage door was also tampered with, someone tried to open it and ended up breaking the chain to have the door open. They close the pool with so many excuses during the hottest weeks of the summer. While on the topic of the pool, they kick you out of the pool area for no apparent reason. Trash valet is a waste! They never pick up when they are supposed to and they end up leaving a mess all the time. I would prefer to throw out my own trash ANTS! Ants were a big issue also. Finally, MICE! Their apartments are infested with mice! Leasing office made a call to pest control and they only helped with sticky mouse traps. We were told that they would return Tuesday's to check those traps and replace until it was under control. They never returned. We were constantly dealing with mouse droppings making it so uncomfortable to stay there. Until one day we heard squeaking and moved everything until we found 4 MICE!!! SO DISGUSTING!!!! We called the leasing office right away and they proceeding to laugh at us stating they have never had an issue and they bet we didn't spend the holiday there. You bet we didn't!! They just advised to just throw them out. They sent up maintenance and they fixed a drawer with a hole stating that will hopefully fix the issue. Right away we started noticing mice droppings in the restrooms & closets. They close one hole and they still manage to find a way in! We leave the apartment at 5am and return until 7pm and it has been horrible always living on edge. Our apartment isn't dirty we are constant clean freaks even before the mice. We are so fed up and can't wait to leave in a couple of days. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My boyfriend, my pug and I just moved in a couple of weeks ago and it has been a great experience. Myriam was so helpful in the process of moving in. Even when I was having trouble with SoCal Edison, she even called them to help me out. She truly cared to help solve Ny problems that came up. Each times I've called the office in business hours, I have received the help I need. It is in a beautiful area and safe enough for me to run around the block by myself. It is a little odd to have trash pickup but it's not too bad. So far they have come on the Sunday-Thursday schedule unless there's a holiday. So far so good. We are happy here! read more

Trash has been sitting here in the hallway near our apartment for about a week now. Called the leasing office yesterday and still nobody has picked it up. Today we had a flyer taped to our door stating there will be a fire alarm check, so clearly they had to pass by this trash to do so. So trashy and gross. Yet they have no problem raising our rent... please keep our community CLEAN! What we pay should reflect a nice and clean community!! read more
