I had been traumatized by an unskilled labourer and shady contractor having gutted my kitchen then walked off the job. I was afraid to be taken advantage of again. Climate Control was trustworthy and went above and beyond to give me the best price for this purchase, show care for me and my home, and follow up to ensure I was a satisfied customer. The owner himself, Steve, was very responsive to my questions. I felt supported - and that they care about their community, not just a sale. I would highly recommend them for customer service, as well as knowledge about their products.

Do not hire 669 Heat! Please share!…read more We recently had a ductless AC installed in our home by 669 Heat. The installation was not in the location requested. Initially the installer tried to make excuses (the centre on the template was not the centre????). Then he admitted it was his first time installing this model and that he made a mistake measuring. I would have appreciated the truth up front. We do understand that everyone makes mistakes. We asked them to correct the installation. The manager came to the house and suggested we move our TV and speaker to make the installation look better. Not the solution we were looking for. A few days later another 669 Heat representative came to the house and it was quickly apparent he was there to get payment and not fix the problem. He was rude and when I asked him not to speak over me he escalated. He threatened to remove the unit and to take us to small claims court. All we wanted was a corrected installation. Please do not hire 669 Heat. They are unprofessional and engage in bad customer service and business practices.

The salesman was fraudulent. We have a primary source…read moreof heating but we had been looking for a source of backup heat for when the power went out for up to a day or more. We were considering a propane fueled woodstove with a backup battery. The salesman advised that the government had disallowed this battery backup for safety reasons. He then convinced us that a Rinnai wall furnace, powered by propane, was the way to go as you could buy a plug in backup battery from Amazon or Costco for under $100 and that it would meet our needs. Coincidently this furnace was much more expensive. By the time all was installed it had cost us almost $8000. We could not find this battery backup and repeatedly asked him where we could find this. He continued to be non-specific other than saying it was on Amazon or at Costco. We found out he was continuing to tell a neighbouring man the same things but luckily this man did not get fooled. We researched some more and discovered that the battery backup that the salesman told us to buy was not for wall furnaces. We did find an unacceptably huge, very expensive Hugo brand battery, that was compatible with the Rinnai, for about $1000 in our internet search! We confronted the salesman and he did admit that the Amazon/Costco battery backups were for computers or cellphones and would give maybe 10 minutes or power for those items. The company had to pay us back our money and remove all of the equipment. However, we are out all the costs involved to get propane installed and there are holes in our wall and siding. Hopefully the propane company will be honest and give us the true amount of money back for unused propane when they remove the two tanks in mid-January. Of note, when the gas fitters were removing the furnace and piping, one of the workers told us that the Rinnai had suddenly become quite popular. In the past few years they had only installed maybe one per year. He said that recently they have installed six. Hmmmmm. What a huge waste of our time and money! Where has integrity gone?

They failed to install any backflow preventers, as well as many other issues, after a prior flood and all new plumbing was installed. This caused an additional flood after much of the work was done, requiring us to start over. We never heard back from them, nor were we offered any sort of compensation for the additional expenses. Also there were 2 high-end shop heaters that an employee took with him to "dispose of" for my elderly dad. There was nothing wrong with them. Crazy how absolutely horrible all of it was.
