Literally landlord special. There was no insulation on door or patio door when we moved in and had to call in to had it installed.

He challenged the tow in court and obtained a judgment his favor. Despite the court outcome, He has continued to experience delays in receiving payment and was told the matter had to be sent to the property's legal department. He also had serious concerns with interactions with the property manager, Kirsten Rolen. When he requested the contact information for upper management so He could escalate his concerns, she refused to provide that information and stated that she was the Regional Manager, Property Manager, and General Manager. As a resident trying to resolve issues, I found this response extremely frustrating and felt that there was no clear avenue for escalation. MAJOR concerns regarding towing practices at this property. The towing company was contacted regarding vehicles parked in assigned spaces, and his vehicle was towed from his garage space. This matter resulted in legal action, and he Prevailed!! Another major concern was the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and handling of issues throughout the property. He experienced ongoing maintenance problems, including appliances frequently breaking down, cabinets coming off their hinges, and repair requests taking days to be addressed. The lack of timely response to maintenance concerns added to my overall dissatisfaction with the property. Additionally, the building's trash handling process was also a major concern.There is only one dumpster for the property, and trash is transported through the same elevator residents use, which I found unacceptable and unsanitary. His experience at Aura South Gate has been extremely disappointing. I believe resident concerns were not handled fairly or transparently. He has documentation supporting the claims made in this review, including communications, records, and court documents. I strongly encourage anyone considering this property to do thorough research, carefully document everything, and understand the policies before moving in. Based on my experience, if you move here, you'll definitely regret it.

I'm on the second floor so probably multiple units. Broken sink took over a month to fix. When I called after two weeks the leasing agent Raine told me I could do it myself. It took another two weeks. 3. Pool has been down both summers this year was for 45 days at the start of summer. Last year it would get green and they'd shut it down for safety issues. The neighbors are great and fun monthly activities. Maya is the only reason people stay, she is literally the sweetest person, listens and tries. Any of the other 29 agents they have cycled through aren't personable and don't seem to care. Would love to stay another year but this place is falling apart and over priced. Update: After 47 days with leasing continuing to never have pest show up and me finally laying traps. The mouse was caught. On Nov 7th pest control stopped by confirmed the infestation over a month from my initial maintenance request and needed to get their supervise. I have yet to tell the mark the mouse was caught 12 days later and still haven't heard anything.

Owners are out of state, so they don't care about you... all they care about getting your money, too!! Loud cars and motorcycles rev their engines all the time. Older property, terrible on-site management…read more Complex has received new exterior paint but beyond that the property has problems: 1) Dumpsters not emptied often enough. Currently the dumpsters are emptied on Monday and Thursday. By pick-up time they are overflowing. Their solution? Force a trash valet on the residents. The trash valet picks up trash at the door and tosses them in the dumpster. The trash valet service is not a plus for the residents. The service is just a way for the complex to make money off of its residents - another fee. An unneeded service and a ripoff. Monday, Wednesday, Friday would make much more sense than a valet service that only fills up dumpsters - the property got along fine without this service for almost 30 years. 2) Complex forced new locks from ADP on all residents. Again, a way for the company to pick the pockets of the residents. This is an additional, forced, $45/per month charge. Instead of a key residents pay $45 a month to enter an apartment they pay to rent. Ripoff. 3) Interiors are dated 4) Rent rates are overpriced at Turtle Cove. 5). Landscaping is terrible. The complex needs more trees - especially where trees have been removed. It would also be nice if they watered the grass. 6) Water and sewer is billed separately by some mysterious allocation of charges done by the company. My suspicion is it's another way the company picks the pocket of residents. Suggestions - ease up on the rent charges and increases. Lots of empty apartments. Empty apartments mean no revenue and raising rents won't make up for empty units. Ditch the trash valet - it's not a service, it's a scheme to line Indio's pockets. Improve the landscaping. Site manager needs to follow through on promises. On the plus side, the maintainence man is great. Bottom line, stay away from Indio managed properties. Stay away from Turtle Cove (or 9th St Apartments). It won't be hard to find better rental options than this one. When my lease is up, I'm gone
