The hotel has a parking structure that costs $15 for in-and-out privileges. We accidentally parked in a restricted spot and got a ticket. Expert tip: don't do that!! The room had a beautiful view: they know at the front desk that this is why you're here, so they will give you room options depending on the quality of the view. Make sure to ask in case they don't. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room - while a bit on the small side - was roomy enough. This would all have been worth the price ($120), but the room also comes with a complimentary breakfast buffet. This is a phenomenally well stocked buffet, with sausages, eggs, potatoes, cereal, and a waffle makers (4 of them!!). Definitely worth a return trip.

A lot of amenities you might expect to find in a modern hotel (coffee maker, clock, phone) are non-existent in your room, but do exist in the common room of each building. My personally experienced drawbacks were that some shades would not move up or down, very little toilet paper and tissue paper in the room, and some housekeeping neglect in the corners. Overall, a 3-4 star experience, but I am leaning towards 4.

The weekend I was staying here, it was very rowdy outside at around 2-3am. There is a nightclub nearby this hotel which means people will be out and about being drunk, resulting in louder and crazier behaviour from yelling and screaming to cars loudly and aggressively driving by. This resulted in my inability to sleep, but this is not the hotel's fault in any way. The hotel does provide free earplugs for you as a way to deal with the noise. Would I stay here again? Well... yes, I would, but if I had another option, I would stay elsewhere the next time I'm in the Windsor area. So it's really up to you whether or not to stay here.

Credit the Roxbury Group for their vision in restoring this historic property to prominence. The Library Lounge is a warm, cozy spot to enjoy a cocktail by the fireplace, while on this occasion, listening to Sasha, a pianist, playing enjoyable music, created a very relaxing ambiance. The hotel also has a restaurant, Presley"s that serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Our room was very nicely appointed with comfortable furnishings. The bed was very comfortable. Staff at every level was very attentive, friendly and seemed to go out of their way to insure a great experience. She was very helpful and really cared about the customers. The lake/river is walking distance from this place and the view from the lake is also very beautiful, specially the sunset and full moon. There are boat cruises too, its amazing to stand and see yourself standing on the Canada side and seeing America (Detroit) right in front of you.

To make things worse, the hotel was down to only one person working the front desk and she couldn't find the pack and play. We asked for one around 10p and by 11p we realized it simply wasn't going to happen. So we made up the sofa bed for our toddler. He's not used to sleeping in the same room as us, so we had to close the door between our bedroom and the living room until he fell asleep. Again, no cool air for us. The next morning we went out to explore and came back to our room for my sons nap. They'd brought a pack and play! Someone even attempted to put it together for us (they weren't successful). But we quickly realized that the trash can catching the dripping water from the AC unit had overflowed onto the carpet! Yes! Our room had been visited by house cleaning, but no one took care of this thing!! So after Jude had his nap, we requested to be moved to a new room. They put us in another suite down the hall. With central air!!!! Why weren't we put in one of these to begin with?!? I'm flabbergasted! Really Marriot? I have certain expectations of you! From there, things were so much better! But I don't know why we were put through that stuff to begin with. My advice - before going to your room, confirm that yours HAS CENTRAL AIR! Also, order your pack and play WAY ahead of time. And don't bother making them set it up Because you'll just have to fix it. Two other notes. 1. Getting to the parking lot is absolutely bizarre and confusing thanks to all the one way streets. I wish I could explain how to do it....you basically have to leave, make a block in the direction you least expect and then you'll find an open lot with an entrance where you swipe the card they give you. Good luck. 2. Breakfast is always crowded anywhere you go. The way this one is set up makes things even more annoying because it's so cramped. Be prepared.

Bed was very comfortable and should of been as it was new. Being as this place is in Canada the lights switch set up took a bit getting used to. They are motion activated. In kitchen and bath Room. It will wake you up in middle of night when lights come on by them selves. And then of course a bit slow to turn off. If you are a Marriott rewards person defiantly this is great stay. The breakfast was alright nothing fancy but defiantly acceptable.

The coffee spot does what it does - the best thing is that it's open 24 hours and they have a nice variety of pastries and snacks. The staff was polite and helpful from the hotel to the casino, although many of the casino staff members were unaware of promotions. Slots were mostly clean, as was the overall casino space. I had a blast playing slots! Definitely will be back!!!
