Background: We had a very long and unpleasant experience working directly with a loan officer at a large bank and Mark was able to get a loan approved when we were denied by the bank. Pros: Mark listens, treats you like a valued client, he will tell you if the financing is in your best interest or if you should wait until a later date. He is upfront, extremely knowledgeable and very responsive. He got us a lower rate than expected, which will save us thousands of dollars over the next several years. He anticipated every issue and walked us smoothly through the process. I was also extremely impressed with Delta Lending's online document management system and its ease of use. Also, the scheduling and turnaround time on the appraisal was impressive. Cons: I did not encounter one problem during the entire refinance process and that is saying something about the integrity of this company. We found a home and made an offer that was accepted. Kathy and staff had us send in documents again and was told it was all go! I was told to pay the earnest deposit (over $4300) pay for appraisals ($500) and take first time buyers course($99 and 2 days to complete online). And 3 days before closing of escrow, she says due to my employment change months ago the loan wasn't approved. My real estate agent recommended us to Caliber Home Loans and got us appoved for the same home!! BEWARE!! They will waist your time and not even apologize!! They are nice good people.. but nice doesn't get the job done.
