My boyfriend and his friends often shopped here when in high school. The outlet has a lot of stores, it's well-maintained with lovely architecture, outdoor seating areas, vegetation, and ample parking.

How am I supposed to frequent Ross stores when they have the same four pairs of pants each visit? That's my problem with Ross, either some better discount outlet is beating them taking all the good stuff or they are only able to secure small amounts from other retail chains. Parking is ample throughout here, with row after row of patrolled parking. This mall isn't as flashy as the one next door, it's not based upon the San Marco Piazza in Venice, but it's still okay. The stores aren't quite as high end as the one next door, but they have another Banana Republic at both locations for some reason. There's supposed to be a trolley, there were stops around the perimeter of the parking lots, but I never saw a single one. There are a few places to get some grub, and bathrooms available. The area is pedestrian friendly and feels safe and well lit. This place needs a theme like the outlet mall next door!

I never had trouble finding parking, and always find a few good deals when I visit. Most recently, I found a couple of hand tools in a tool outlet store, some calendars and toys, and my spouse found great deals on sweaters and jeans in the Old Navy outlet. It happened to be New Year's Eve, so the whole place closed early (6 p.m.!) and we didn't get a chance to visit every store, but next time we go will be on a better shopping day.

On a whim, I saw an H&M jacket online and thought I'd give it a chance. Sadly, it did not fit as I was hoping and had to return the item. I went to the store located at the San Marcos outlets and let me tell you this is the only H&M store that was beaming! It was so clean and organized I was almost encouraged to spend all my money! But, I was limited on time and needed to return the jacket and go. The young lady at the register was incredibly kind. See, I ordered my jacket online and the ordered date on my receipt was not the date I received the item. By there policy I have thirty days to return an item and by going off the order date, I was five days too late. I explained to her that the order date was different than the received date and I even tried to look up the tracking info to back up my story, but it had expired. She called the manger to see what they could do and he took care of it with no questions! I was floored! Absolutely floored! I really thought I was going to have to go to battle to prove my honesty. But no, I was wrong and both of them handled this with such grace - even my husband was impressed when I told him what happened. This isn't some over the top experience, but I must admit I am one of the many that stopped going to big box stores and strictly order online mainly because customer service is incredibly obsolete. This small experience has restored my faith and I have returned to this H&M twice to purchase a few things and the customer is always on par. Whomever the store manager is, well done! Retail is a tough industry and you have developed a superb team and maintain a fun, clean and shopable store. Bravo, sir. Bravo.
