I walked in and Martin said hello welcome to Brooks Brothers let me know if I can help you today? I showed him a text with a picture of a shirt label from my best friend and Martin found 8 shirts ! He was able to check inventory from other locations with intent to have the stores mail the dress shirts to a home address. Serviceable, convenient and superior customer service. This outlet store is clean, organized , well stocked and provides a pleasant shopping experience. Martin as a salesman is an asset. Thank you

I couldn't agree more with this line. In fact, I remember the days where if you wanted to shop Brooks Brothers ("BB"), you'd have to go to a city like San Francisco. It was always a huge deal to walk into BB while visiting San Fran...have people wait on you, a tailor's tape measure around their neck at all times. BB always meant serious clothes to my father, and I understood that quickly. Now look, I'm not saying I expect to be offered champagne or wine a la Tiffany's, but I expect way more than what was offered at this location in terms of customer service (did I tell you I went around Christmas...oh I didn't?). We walk into this large, beautiful outlet location in San Marcos on Monday (12/17) about 4:00 p.m. Not many people in the store, including customer service representatives. I think I only saw two...for a store that size heading into Christmas - are you kidding me? The store had a very "fend for yourself" to all our pre-labeled, pre-sorted sizes in the bins, atmosphere. God forbid had I been really searching for someone's time to have a suit, blazer, etc. measured and fit. When I did finally flag someone down, the questions I asked the young representative, in my opinion, were not answered in a way befitting of such a reputable, prestigious clothing company. And, as stated before, there's no way the reps would have had "the time" or the focus to really cater to a serious shopper. Ended up buying some shirts, impressed by the deal, but THIS is not befitting Brooks Brothers. Not at all the way I remember shopping at a high dollar clothing store...

They had exactly the apparel I needed (blazer, slacks, belt) in exactly the sizes and colors I needed--no alterations. I didn't have to chase all over the outlet mall, nor did I have to visit another location or order online. It was all there--one stop shopping. Their staff was most willing to help with selection and advice, although the emphasis of the store appears to be on self-service, since there has been only one staff member on duty at the two times I visited this past week. Nevertheless, that one person got the job done quickly and efficiently with a smile. Thanks for being there when I needed you!

See, I ordered my jacket online and the ordered date on my receipt was not the date I received the item. By there policy I have thirty days to return an item and by going off the order date, I was five days too late. I explained to her that the order date was different than the received date and I even tried to look up the tracking info to back up my story, but it had expired. She called the manger to see what they could do and he took care of it with no questions! I was floored! Absolutely floored! I really thought I was going to have to go to battle to prove my honesty. But no, I was wrong and both of them handled this with such grace - even my husband was impressed when I told him what happened. This isn't some over the top experience, but I must admit I am one of the many that stopped going to big box stores and strictly order online mainly because customer service is incredibly obsolete. This small experience has restored my faith and I have returned to this H&M twice to purchase a few things and the customer is always on par. Whomever the store manager is, well done!
