I remember fondly days of shopping for holiday gift ideas at Neiman Marcus at the Galleria in Houston. Back then, an annual trip to Houston for gifts I couldn't find in Austin was a rite of Christmas. So I was hoping to recapture a bit of that magic at this store. I'd been to the Last Call stores in Austin before. I wasn't impressed. This store didn't improve on that. It's mostly a collection of one-of-a-kind clothing, with some odds-and-ends off in one corner of the store. The men's clothing was expensive and looked shopworn to boot. If you're looking for a Neiman Marcus experience, go to one of their retail stores. These stores are depressing to shop in and the store smells moldy. read more

They are not helpful , the price always is confusing, many time they give me wrong price and on cashier was different , they add discount but you will be confused was is on sale or not. Went there on the third week of August. Friendliest staff, and nice and abundant selections. Out of all the outlets, NM Last Call in San Marcos is very well organized. East to find sizes, styles and brands. Fitting rooms are clean, products are exactly what I was hoping for. Thumbs up! read more

Area 51 resides in this NM. I needed no ballgown to wear to Venice Carnival. The store appears to be a giant warehouse space with limited inventory. Nothing that screams one's name in the rhinestone row or the furniture that is not posh. Disappointed and no points on my card were racked up, speaking of rack take me to Nordstrom's Rack now! I'm so sad and devastated that Neiman Last Call store in Austin closed this year. It had history as the first Last Call store that was opened in the US. My only option now is to visit the San Marcos store. Thankfully, the store has been consolidating merchandise from many last call stores that closed and the selection is absolutely mindblowingly phenomenal. I see tons of Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, Kiton, Oscar de la Renta, Ferragamo, Gucci, etc. high level brands all over the store - enough to think that this is a Neiman retail store rather than an outlet. They have expanded the store to include a home section. I'm sad every time I see this as it is a small remnant of what I used to enjoy at the Austin store (which had an amazing home section like no other). Let's hope that Neiman decides to keep this store open. I'll be devastated if they decide to close this as well..... read more

I love the store, however there was two things that was disappointing to me. There was a dress I was interestec in purchasing, howeverthe dress was heavily stainec with makeup. I approached a sales Rep to find out the price which was $165. I was concerned because the dress iwas white and was heavily stained with brown makeup. The sales rep refused to inquire into checking for the possibility of an additional discount. I live 5 hours away therefore if I purchased the dress and the stains would not come out the dress would be useless, My seocond issue is that they do not offer a military discount which says a lot about their corporate views on military personnel. Though it is a hit or miss, you can find a lot name brands discounted here. This is a high end department store but all the items have been drastically discounted in this store. The staff don't follow you around, which is good. I love coming here not knowing what to find. Every visit is different. The Men's section is not as big as the Women's. I drove in from San Antonio to pick up earrings that were on sale. I picked up my earrings and headed to check out. Sales associate wasn't super friendly but I tossed it up to it being late and she wanted to get off. No biggie. I asked the girl behind the counter if they would honor the price that was online on THEIR website. She quickly told me no her manager doesn't do that. I asked nicely if she would mind asking him, since I could easily buy online and it offered same day pick up. In my mind it would be easier for them to just price match the item then having to go online and order myself. So she asked over her headpiece and he quickly said no. I asked if she minded if I speak to the manager to explain that I could buy online and pick up in store, thinking she wasn't understand my question. Manager came up huffing and puffing and immediately told me no, without me even explaining the situation. Told me I could buy online and pick up in store 5 DAYS after purchasing. Super confused cause online says same day pick up? Neither of them would let me explain my question and both seemed really bothered by me asking anything at all. At this point it wasn't even about the $10 I would save from ordering online it was the lack of assistance they were offering and both were so annoyed by me. I said thank you left without purchasing and called they're online support with much help from an online associate. Offering me free shipping and the price on the website. I just can't understand why no help was offered when the earrings I wanted were right in front of me. I never leave bad reviews and hardly complain but this was just over the top rude. Everyone knows Neiman Marcus. Everyone knows how expensive Neiman Marcus is. Not everyone knows that you can snag some pretty good deals at this outlet store. Of course the Gucci bags are still $700, Tory Burch shoes over $200 and Alexander Wang dresses almost $200, but I have randomly found some great deals on accessories like necklaces, bracelets & sunglasses. Never did I ever think I'd pay $129 for a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses but I did. My friend who went with me got a pair of Valentino shades for $139. GO US! The woman helping us check out didn't know what brands were which and it kind of shocked/annoyed me because she was working at a high end retail store but kept showing us D&G sunglass cases calling them Gucci and mispronouncing Valentino & David Yurman. I'm definitely not a brand snob but if you work in a high end store, you need to know your brands! I wouldn't suggest going here to find a high end bag or clothes on super sale (those are still wayyyy out of a college student's budget) but you must browse through the jewelry & sunglasses! read more

Great store. Make sure you stroll the entire store a few times. Its like a thrift shop but nicer. It is Neimans. Its best to purchase the more obscure items at a discount price. MEN take notice for your wife or gf! woman's wonderful chinchilla coat 40% off of $3500...I tried it on but to small...I am a man so what, the coat is awesome! Great selection not only of super expensive things, but also of kind of expensive things made more reasonable on super sale. This store was very laid back and staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed combing through the racks and found several things I love for a great price. Wasn't busy at all in the middle of the day on the weekday I went in. read more

The women's section is much bigger than the men's but even with that, the store itself is not very big. There is a small selection of handbags, a jewelry counter, and a nice shoe selection. For the prices though, I would prefer a better selection. Maybe next time I will hit the jackpot. read more

I had placed an online order for 2 Kendra Scott Earrings to be picked up in store on a late Friday night. The reason I went with this option was that it stated the items were "in stock at location." I never received much of a confirmation email. I call about it on monday only to be told they don't have anything for me and to deal with online service. (online service was great btw) She gave me a separate order # saying my order was received at location on that same friday. i get to the store no one is at customer service desk, cashiers (who are in very close proximity) ask if i needed help over 5min after seeing me walk up. When they finally get to me they inform me that my order is nowhere to be found. I gave up after so much waiting, took an item they pulled off the floor that matched what i ordered, but they couldn't find the second pair I ordered, so i swapped it with one in a different color. They brought a cart of Kendra Scott boxes that I had to help look through only to give up for not having time to search it all. Sorry but this was so unprofessional so unorganized, I won't ever use the pick up option for this place. read more

Worst store ever don't shop there.... The manager on duty when I was there her name Cheryl Kaul deafly not the brightest Cran in the box. I had a Tom Ford shirt I wanted to return she offered to return it for half-price original Neiman Marcus price $990 sold at a discount for $488. I know if I didn't have a receipt it's my fault so I was willing to take 50% off. So again she offered me that then she changed her tune to try to give it to me for 80% off which will drop the shirt to like $98 Can anyone please tell me where you can get a Tom Ford dress shirt for $98 not at Neiman Marcus.
