Normally I don't review stores but can I tell you the gentleman that helped us here was freaking fantastic! If I wasn't senile at 45 I would remember his name but I will call when they open and ask. But I think it was Renae (if I'm wrong or spelled it wrong I'll edit and fix it) First of all even though his shift was about to be finished he didn't rush me. I knew exactly what I was looking for when I walked in so I didn't want to waste time browsing. I asked he said they were light on suits but he checked stock in the back and lo and behold, he had only one suit in stock and it happened to be exactly what I had been looking for in the exact right size. Mind you this suit is for the groom so there were many opinions, he gave guidance on the dress shirt when I was explaining what I wanted look and styling I wanted. Make sure you double/triple check your ready-to-wear items carefully after payment and after they wrapped up your goods and handed to you. Because once you leave the store it is impossible to call or make contact with them. We've made that mistake and it took us another 6 hours round trip back to the outlets. We rarely go to this outlets but since we are here visiting family in Conroe, TX and have a few days free. We decided to make the drive to Austin and stop by Gucci to check out. I tried a few ready-to-wear pieces on. We ended up buying 3 items - 2 track suits and a hoodie. The hoodie I tried on was size XS and the salesperson told me he has a new one in the back. So trusting him, I paid for my items and left the store. Once we got back to our hotel in Conroe and I decided to wear my hoodie out. I discovered that it was a Medium size instead of XS. I tried to call the store and they have an answering service and they keep telling me that they would send a message to the store and to expect 24-72 hours to respond. We only have 3 days left and we have to fly back home. So we decided to make another drive to the store. read more

There was a line out the door. Luckily, it moves faitly fast. I liked my experience. You will need to ask for help, and it took a couple attempts before I got someone to help me. Anne was super helpful, read my style, and got me everything I wanted, plus some stuff stowed away and not displayed. Also, when I picked out a bag in the display case, she quickly retrieved a brand new one in packaging in the back. You're limited on selection and size (I mean--it's an outlet!) and Anne told me everything was made for retail, not outlet. There were no Dionysus or Marmont bags. They had belts, but not black. Raul is my man. Went in very early with idea on what to get and was so glad we were there right at opening! We got helped right away and lot of patience on deciding between 5 items. We made our selection within 20 minutes and got what we needed. Service: loved Raul, but didn't love the other short term long haired young girl who helped show us a a small item we decided to come back for. When he came back after lunch he announced loudly that she tried him on the radio and kinda threw the small item at him. Selection: combination of for outlet and for retail with some full price. Expect to spend a bit and it doesn't hurt to dress nice and be able to figure out what you are looking for as it's a very popular store. Lots of gems kinda all over the store but selection varies! Parking lot: Shared, and very large but gets busy. Overall I'll be back but go early if you want help and attention but the line does move fast. read more

I brought my niece here to find a birthday present. She just turned thirteen and wanted a designer item so we took a trek down to the nicer side of the outlet mall. Before I could say anything she whispered that she felt like the employees were watching us. Nobody offered any assistance. I let her browse and encouraged her to let me know if she liked anything. She was too uncomfortable to find anything. The displays in this store were lackluster. It almost seemed like shoes were just thrown up on a shelf. It was organized okay. I was in San Antonio for business and decided to look and see how far this Gucci outlet was. It wasn't far and only took me about 40 minutes to get there. I am so glad I went this Gucci outlet is so much better than the one in Atlanta, the store itself was very clean, and the presentation was just like the regular Gucci stores, the team members who were working were very friendly, but I have to give a shout out to the young man who I believe his name was Zack. I hope I got his name right because his personality was just amazing. He did mention that he just had a birthday a week ago, he needs a pat on the back for just being a very outgoing and friendly personality. I enjoyed having him help me select my items he was just so friendly, answered all my questions, and just so personable. It is so rare to find great customer service and he exudes exemplary customer service, I live in Houston so it's a much farther drive for me to get there but I will definitely be back to this Gucci outlet again. Another great outlet that I will visit when I'm in the area! There was just enough merchandise in here to not get into too much trouble ...Haha It was not busy at all on the day that I went so that was perfect for me to browse and decide what I wanted to see. It didn't take long...I did have to ask a security guard if someone could help me because the one sales person I saw was already assisting a customer and walked to the back, and I didn't want to wait for her to come back. So the security guard called for someone to assist me. The first thing that caught my eye was the in bloom handbags. One of the bags I bought 2 years ago was on the shelf, it's too bad you don't know what will make it to the outlet because you can save a few hundred dollars. In any case I'm also not one that has to have the latest style to wear that year. If I like a style I buy it and if I can save money, there's no shame in that! I found out that the Boston bags i love so much are being discontinued! They only had the gray microguccisima that I did not have, so I had to get a matching wallet as well. Waiting for Anh to bring my purchases out I saw some belts and remembered that was something else I was looking for. Luckily they had a reversible one in my size, yes it's a man's belt but its good for jeans, nobody will know or care, and I got such a great deal! On the way to the register....what?! I see the Tian collection, I also have the Boston bag in this print, but I noticed the large tote, tried it out and had to have it, I love this print! I enjoyed going to this location. Gloria was very helpful. The selection was a little bit limited and was definitely a lot more winter items even though it's the summertime but I guess I could see that being that it's an outlet. Obviously, a lot of the products are meant just for outlet stores and not the same quality of the regular Gucci stores. I purchased a nice slip on Gucci shoes that were built in Spain. All of my other Gucci shoes are made in Italy. But it was an excellent value. I definitely think I will stop back through here again and I probably should have bought some sweaters. I just love this store. Although, I must say, I was quite disappointed in the section in that I didn't find the bag I wanted. Wasn't interested in the shapes and the color they had available. I was on a hunt for a wallet, bag, and scarves. Well, I got the scarves, as the others available didn't appeal to me. Went in and purchased 2 pairs of shoes and had them sent to Seattle. The sales person Monica that helped me sent an incorrect pair. She had already shared her information with me for future purchases and help. When we received them, I contacted her immediately letting her know about the mistake. She said that we could get the correct pair resent to us. She then went MIA for days and would not respond or help me get this corrected. Ignored my calls and texts and no one at the store will answer. So now we are stuck with the incorrect shoes. TERRIBLE customer service and help. Disappointed. I left seriously disappointed. But it's my own fault. I really had hoped the less than favorable reviews were wrong. But they were not. To sum it up, Gucci should be ashamed of itself. Ninety percent of the handbags look like they are straight out of a swap meet or something the peddlers in urban areas sell off in local barbershops, hair salons or out of the back of their trucks. Poor quality. Cheap looking. Simply awful. There were a handful of wallets and one pair of sandals that I found worth getting. The pieces were from an older collection yet the prices were not outlet prices so it was easy for me to leave them there. You could easily buy the similar items at a retail location during the Memorial Day sale for 20% less. In sum, if you like Gucci, you are better served waiting for a sale at your favorite retailer. There's nothing special or alluring about this place. The only exception is if you live in the middle of no where and this is the closest and only location. read more

I was standing in back of the store for a good 10 minutes waiting for someone to come help me with a suit I liked. Walked to front to find 2 employees on their cell phones and three other talking together up front. I asked for help and was walked off on. Screw this place. I am very conservative with 1 star reviews and I am a GUCCI customer, but fk this store and their worthless employees. I'll go back to Vegas and buy there. Don't sleep on people bc they are in travel clothes, we are headed to San Antonio to sit in our $1500 a piece seats for the NCAA final. But we will go around the corner and hit up Prada or Burberry. Walked around here and looked at their over-priced items. This brand's clientele are those that like to wear a fashion name brand. I did enjoy the fact that there weren't as many staff members googling over what I was wearing and profiling me before they'd approach me. I was holding the door open for my family and another family when a representative from the store stopped the other family from entering. He said it would be a few minutes and then they could enter because the store was too busy and they didn't have enough sales people to assist customers. I asked to see the manager, but no one showed. But when I got to the register & the sales associate by the name of Calvin discovered I had items to return & he became very uncouth! I love the product, selection and prices customer service needs some work. I entered the store to exchange a pair of shoes that I had purchased 7 days earlier. I had been in the store earlier that day an purchased a belt a noticed the shoes I really wanted were now in stock, so I ask the associate to hold the pair I want and I would return before closing to process the exchange. When I returned that evening I told the sales associate that I wanted to process an exchange and the 1st thing she said was "what's wrong with it"? I said nothing, then she interrupted and said what are you exchanging it for? I tried to explain that I was in earlier and that what I want is being held. Then she asked for the associates name well I couldn't remember it because the gentleman that helped me said it would be under a females name. You have to give me credit for at least 3 things before we begin here: 1.) I admit generally that I've stopped into an outlet mall; 2.) I admit specifically that a fraction (A MERE FRACTION, mind you) of the Gucci apparel I own has come from this store; and 3.) I am still willing to trash the place. Let's proceed. Years ago, when the Outlet Mall Powers That Be decided to expand and build an entirely new section devoted to higher end brands, I was more skeptical than optimistic. After all, the Ralph Lauren store had constantly disappointed for over a decade by hawking mismatched, awfully patterned, horridly colored men's clothes that I would testify on a stack of Bibles had never been sold in a real department store. It was like they raided a Barnum & Bailey's, stole all the clown outfits, ripped them up and haphazardly sewed them back together with the Polo symbol. Would that be the fate of Armani? Of Ferragamo? Scarier still, was I to see my beloved Gucci set up shop with the wildest, stupidest. least-wanted clothing in the land? At first, no. It should come as no shock that I myself was at Gucci San Marcos either on the grand opening itself, or one fashionably-late day later. What I found was almost too good to be true. I found basic, solid, well-structured men's dress shirts...for a reasonable cost. Some would balk at what I consider reasonable, but they were originally $400. I have paid $400 before. To find the same item cheaper means more money for something else, correct? Perhaps the rich jewel tone silk ties I saw, sturdy leather luggage, or classic shoes for men? I may have cried a little. A couple years later, the cracks began to show. The dress shirts had disappeared, never to return. In their place stood billowy blouses that would make Elton John stop and think "Hmm, a little too gay." The shoe selection had narrowed; the ties seemed lackluster. The one bright spot were the selection of jeans, although even the ones purporting to be on the larger side had me packed in tighter than a blood sausage. All this was discovered under the watchful eyes of a security guard and an increasingly disinterested staff. It was disturbing. Finally, this past Christmas on the way to San Antonio, I stopped to face the inevitable. Like Lindsay Lohan on a downward spiral, I hoped beyond hope that perhaps some miracle had brought back this place from the brink. But also like Lindsay Lohan, I was massively disappointed again (Call it a "Liz & Dick" moment). Gone were any shoes except those gaudy sneakers you see in rap videos. Gone was most of the high-quality luggage, replaced by those "GG" monogram plastic-y bags that look FAKER than the wares sold in Chinatown. The ties looked like they were dug out of an armoire from the '70's, and there were only a couple pairs of jeans to even be had. And the worst, most egregious, most obscene spectacle of all was that they actually offered up a magenta-colored sweater that looked like it had been skinned off a llama-ostrich mutant and thrown on a hanger. Like they ask on Project Runway: "What does this outfit say? Where is the person wearing this outfit going?" Anyone wearing that monstrosity should be going straight to an insane asylum. Both for the style and the still ridiculous price. If any of the staff had been remotely attentive, I may have told them this. I turned on the heels of my Gucci boots (bought from the real store, thank you), and walked out the door. What did Thomas Jefferson say? Something about "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"? Well I say the same goes for luxury brand outlet stores. The tree of quality at a Gucci outlet must be refreshed with the blood of tacky bags and hideous sweaters. Burn it. Burn it all, and start over again. Seriously. I looked forward to coming here for my TX vacation. I wanted to love this place. The place looks nice. Why I put in 1 star only? Please see pictures I have attached. As you can see, on the receipt its $319. On the display, it says, $319, then bill me $319. Then the guy who was helping me said, someone is going to the storage to get me a new one, which is fine with me. When I get home, I just saw that the actual price on the tag that I got is $309. That's $10 difference!!!! I am not going back to get the difference because it takes about an hr to drive there. So just a TIP!!! Compared to the snobs at Prada who think they're selling Hermes it's a much better place and the prices are truly cheaper than the stores. I would say this is a hit or miss store. There isn't a Gucci in Austin unless you go into Neiman's there is a boutique. There are some good options here just depends on what day you go. I've stopped in here a number of times before I found something that I actually wanted to get. I found it kind of weird that the leather bag was the same price as the fabric one. Being an outlet of course the styles are out dated. Occasionally there will be a tiny section of 5-6 bags that are on sale. There isn't an additional discount on top of the marked price of the bag regularly. The associates sometimes approach you to help you and sometimes they aren't very helpful at all. I had purchased a purse and told the sales person I would like to be informed if any wallets that match it come in, but I have yet to hear from him and that was a while ago. I wouldn't really return to the Outlet just for this store. I will stop in here if I'm already at the Outlets, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone to come here just for Gucci, because you aren't getting that great of a deal. read more
