My buddies and I ended up playing two rounds here on our way to, and from, The Masters. The grass had not yet greened up, but it was a fun course nonetheless. Surrounded by a lot of pine trees, there are a couple of great views along the way. The 9th hole is really beautiful, and really difficult if you don't play it correctly. The facilities are nice, but the locker room is small. We did not try the food. Overall, we found this course to be a great value and a lot of fun to play.

Love this place, greens, fairways bunkers, all in great shape. Challenging holes. I will definitely be back when in the area.

Ranked as one of the best golf courses in the U.S. for under $50. I like to use their driving range - they also have a place to practice putting and chipping.

The cool "old fellas". It's funny hearing them talk about stuff and mess with each other.

I went here for a Q&A panel dinner for a training class I was participating in for work out there…read morein Rome, GA. It's located in a beautiful area near the river and definitely reminded me of old world southern country club when I arrived complete with foyers, sitting rooms, chandeliers, fireplaces in several rooms, and a full staff in uniform. I gave it 3 stars because it is so old fashioned that it's pretty outdated and the chairs were banquet style and pretty uncomfortable to sit in for several hours. We were in an upstairs room and were served buffet style. The food was average and included some limited salad options, chicken breasts done piccata style, but there was no pasta to pair it with which I found odd. Instead there was a bland herb rice. There was also some kind of beef dish that I don't know if it really has a name, it was pieces of beef in a dark sauce, but it also didn't have much flavor. Other sides included: very dense mashed potatoes, steamed green beans with almond slivers, and steamed veggies (squash i believe). The staff was very nice and the room was effective for the Q&A panel but I was really unimpressed with the food, and would have rather had the Q&A in the classroom we were using because the chairs were a lot more comfortable.

Seeing as how there are no other stores in Rome that exist solely for the game of golf, the owners…read morehere have a captive audience. Kudos to them for not taking advantage of that fact. They could have a business that has poor service, selection, pricing, etc... and we would have to just deal with it because there is really no place else to go in the area. But instead have decided to provide a quality shop. The staff is very informed and friendly. No matter what question you might have, they are always available and seem genuinely interested in helping you. limited equipment selection. But let's be honest. Do you really need 10,000 square feet of a zillion items to be considered a good store (PGA Super Store)? Nope. They have what you need with a few extras. Not to mention the prices. Can't beat them. The demo clubs are a great way to try new equipment and the used rack is an inexpensive way to get into the game. All they need is a coffee pot and donuts and I'd be there every morning.
