We had our class with Chef Rick and he was absolutely phenomenal. We learned a lot and we got to eat a lot. It was my first time golfing, and we had a great time. The course is definitely challenging but all of the staff made us feel so welcomed and were so kind to us to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is stunning, the decor is really fitting for Texas and the level of service was really good everywhere we went. The food was fabulous and there were a variety of options all on property. The spa was one of my favorite parts and is super Upscale with lots of treatment rooms and amenities. Trick rider I felt was a bit overpriced and unfortunately overwhelmed on Valentine's Day but otherwise we had a lovely experience at the Omni PGA Frisco.

I will say that on arrival I was a little disappointed that the items listed in my preferences (extra pillows and towels, the sleep kit, Get Fit kit, and white noise machine) weren't already in the room, but the experience definitely improved from there. Shoutout to the Black gentleman with the glasses who checked me in late Thursday night and out early Saturday morning and gave me extra driknk tickets without me even asking (I wish I remembered his name), Wendy who delivered my room service and called back to make sure I enjoyed it, Ryan who helped coordinate an event supply drop-off with a colleague, and the blonde woman with glasses who assisted me with collecting everything that evening. Also, the lovely spa staff gave me a quick tour of the space with no hesitation although I did not have a service booked due to time constraints. Thank you to the concierge who loaded everything into my Lyft, the team member who brought the Ulta order I had DoorDashed up to my door when I was too exhausted to grab it, and Rachel and Abraham for sharing all the exciting resort activities, even though I didn't have time to participate. And a special thanks to Diego at Trick Rider, who took wonderful care of me and boxed up some incredible carrot cake that I was too stuffed to eat at the restaurant, along with the manager there. I would absolutely recommend this resort to other solo travelers.

It's an impressive…read moreproperty, essentially a mini city within a hotel, with so much to explore and enjoy during your stay. If you're booking, I highly recommend requesting the Hill Country Tower. The rooms are excellent, and the air conditioning provides perfect white noise that makes for restful, comfortable nights. In contrast, the Vineyard Tower feels dated and not as conducive to relaxation, so it's worth paying attention to tower placement when making reservations. What really sets this resort apart is the staff, restaurant options, and amenities. Throughout every corner of the property, it's evident that the team shares a strong mission and core values. The only call out I have is the pick up/drop off, there was an worker who suggested travelers that had all stayed at the resort for the week should walk with all their luggage very far to a parting lot for me to pick them up, even though there is a line dedicated to pick up/loading- he could use some training. Other than that the level of hospitality and genuine care is exceptional and noticeably different from typical hotel experiences. The combination of the expansive property, quality accommodations in the right tower, and outstanding staff service makes Gaylord Opryland an outstanding choice. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this resort offers an experience unlike anywhere else in the area.

I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves a shoutout. Due to my elite status with Marriott we were able to get an updated room that had a large walk in shower and nicer countertops than what come with a regular room. Our room had a great center atrium view and with a balcony it was perfect for sitting and relaxing. The room was quiet and we heard no one else even though the hotel was at capacity. The beds and pillows were comfortable and I slept great. The room was clean and the AC made no noise whatsoever. We did a scavenger hunt in the Atrium for the kid and she enjoyed it. The best part for me was sitting by the "river" below Zeppole and just listening to the water running. It is so tranquil and peaceful. It's my special place that I go to every time we stay at Gaylord. It was a rainy weekend so we did not use the indoor or outdoor pool, but they are always options. Overall, the Gaylord has come to be one of my favorite hotels in the Dallas metroplex and we will return for sure.

This is a gorgeous property in a fantastic location. Checking In & Perks If you aren't a member yet, definitely sign up before you arrive! Upon checking in, we were greeted with a complimentary drink and free WiFi. Karina handled our check-in and was absolutely wonderful--extremely amicable, professional, and the perfect example of excellent customer service. The Atmosphere & Unique Daily Themes One of the coolest features of this hotel is the daily theme hosted in the lobby: Day 1: A complimentary snack cart stocked with chips, candy, and water. Day 2: A fun trail mix station. A bourbon and burger event offered at a very reasonable cost. On our second day, we interacted with Rashad, who was also the absolute epitome of customer service. The staff here truly goes above and beyond. The Rooms & Amenities The rooms are incredibly large, spacious, and well-designed. Our room faced the mini-field at The Star adjacent to the hotel. Even though the hotel was completely at full capacity during our stay, the room was remarkably quiet. The soundproofing is top-notch. The bathroom was equally spacious. We did have one minor hiccup where a provided bath towel was visibly dirty, but the staff handled it flawlessly, immediately exchanging it for fresh linens the next morning. The pool area is beautiful, and both the bartenders and pool attendants were incredibly attentive and quick with their service. Dining & Events We spent some time at Neighbors, the on-site bar and restaurant, and sat on the patio to people-watch. There are also plenty of other great restaurants within short walking distance. As for the birthday celebration, the event space was stunning. The decor leading up to and outside of the ballroom was beautiful and incredibly well-executed. The event food and drinks were great overall; the only minor drawback was that the fries were a bit too salty, but the rest of the meal was delicious. A Special Highlight As an added bonus, Samuel L. Jackson was filming a spinoff of Tulsa King right when we arrived! Despite the production hustle and bustle, the hotel staff did a seamless job of accommodating regular guests and maintaining a premium experience. In closing, I highly recommend this property for its spacious rooms, stellar location, and a team that truly understands hospitality. We will definitely be back!

The hotel kept pushing back on contract decision already agreed on and signed off on. We had difficulty getting someone to come and open doors despite having instructions on time frames we needed rooms. One of the rooms we had till midnight one day, was taken over by cleaning crew almost 2 hours before we were even supposed to be out. We had a room near the lobby and outside people kept coming in, I had to tell 3 different people, in which the last person saw it first hand and handled it luckily but things just weren't done in a timely fashion. Now to talk about the room... let me just say, it's clean, it has everything you need for a stay but it is not a wow factor, nor does it impress you. For the amount of money you are spending per night at the this place, you at least expect some decent tv service. The shower has 1 sliding door that honestly does nothing to stop the water from splashing out onto the tile. The lamps in my room closest to the beds didn't even work. The closet wouldn't fully close which made the light stay on. And the toilet required you to flush several times just to get the toilet paper to go down. The room service is on very limited hours, but in top of that the restaurant has very limited and just ok meals. Overall just not impressed with this place whatsoever.

Upon check-in, I found a note from one of the nice maids inviting me to enjoy my stay and feel free to use the amenities. I did notice the customary chocolate was absent but this is a minor quibble. After some time enjoying the facility, I decided to avail myself of the on-site dining options and chose the lasagna with garlic bread. Because my assistant and I were seated with a view of the kitchen area, I glimpsed an interaction between the manager and two of the chefs during dinner preparation that was surprising. It seemed one of the chefs had burned the garlic bread. The senior chef and the manger got into a bit of a row and the senior chef threatened to quit as the poor chef who'd burned the garlic bread hurriedly prepared a new serving...WITH the help of the manager! It seems the manager really didn't want to have the senior chef walk out on him hah! Dinner was delicious and quite filling, I wasn't even able to finish the portion they gave me and I split it with my assistant. Note that on the way to dinner, I noticed one of the poor cabana boys passed out on a lounge. They work them so hard that I couldn't even rouse the boy when I tried. He did appear later in the evening and accompanied us on the shuttle to local shopping and told several very funny jokes. The missing chocolate upon check in and the silverware at dinner being somewhat plain (I was expecting sterling silver cutlery in an establishment of this class) were really the only negatives. My assistant did not care for the art work - specifically the paintings - hung in the entry way and stated this as we exited. Definitely recommend a stay with this place!

The room we stayed in looked outdated, and we had toilet flushing issues right from the first use, which wasn't a great start. The water park itself was enjoyable, and we didn't have any issues there. I do want to give credit to the lifeguard staff... they were very attentive and clearly doing a great job keeping an eye on the kids, which we really appreciated. We ate dinner at Fireside Restaurant and had a good experience there. One tip: don't rely too much on the app waitlist as it showed limited availability, but when we checked with the host in person, we were seated right away with no wait. Breakfast at Timbers Table & Kitchen, however, was a complete letdown. I didn't expect to pay $78 for a buffet breakfast for two adults and two kids, especially when the food wasn't good. The donuts tasted like they had been refrigerated overnight and were barely edible, and even the self-toasted bagels were stale... no amount of toasting helped. If you're reading this, I highly recommend bringing your own food for at least breakfast to save money and avoid disappointment.
