Property management does absolutely everything they can to make your stay the most comfortable stay possible and will go over and beyond the Call of Duty in order to make you feel at home. The only sounds we ever hear are from closing doors in the hallway and an occasional muffled thump from what I imagine to be pro-style wrestling that is going on at the neighbor's place. The included appliances are all Frigidaire brand, and seem to be holding up fairly well. The fridge/freezer combo is a little small for my liking, but I cook a lot and find that run out of room fairly quickly. Parking is ok with the exceptions of the days that Fleet Feet is here. If you don't beat them here, you probably will have a hard time just getting to a space without running over 30 runners, as they just stand in the middle of the road as clueless as they can....so annoying. The complex also sports a pretty decent gym area that is equipped with new and nice machines. I don't know what they all do, but they look painful, and I see lots of folks coming out of the gym area covered in sweat, so I suppose they do their job. Biggest complaint is the fact that almost all of the apt have only 1 window. It makes it hard to air out the apartment after burning something on the stove...not that I do that. I have lived in houses most of my life, and have no regrets moving in here, and have no intention of moving out any time soon.

They haven't offered to move us, haven't helped with the damage, and have completely ignored their responsibility. Because of their negligence, our belongings have been ruined. This has been a health hazard and a nightmare, and they've shown no concern or urgency to fix the situation. If you're considering moving here--don't. Save yourself the stress, the damage, and the danger. The apartment complex management doesn't have any compassion on all my items that was damaged due to mold inside the apartment and the management lied on reimbursement of my family's clothing, Furniture etc. please don't trust this place. We were charged incorrectly on a bill and that took 10 weeks to resolve. If you are someone that likes quick (read: electronic) communication, this is not the place for you. Walk into the office though, and they'll take care of it. (If its open when you get home from work) However, if the job has to go higher up (Corporate level) forget about getting a response for months. They do not offer recycling services, which is a bummer. I've started collecting plastic and taking it to work. The general appearance of the area is nice. Cant comment on how they handle snow, yet. My roof started leaking in the middle of the night during a rain storm. The maintenance guy responded quickly and god bless him for that! (He reeked of cigarette smoke and as a person with allergies to chemical irritants --that wasn't fun)

Also, it seems like someone is always being evicted. In my building alone in the last year and a half 4 apartments have been evicted.

Residents are loud and disrespectful and the community is mostly foreign people. The management staff are rude, belittling and unprofessional. This is supposed to be a gated community and they have the gates bungee tied open. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider this nightmare of a place.

A bug exterminator comes to visit every few months and we never had any problems with bugs while living there. We had a few issues with the hot water cut off to our shower over the year we lived there and maintenance was always quick to fix it. The first time it happened was in the middle of the night on a Friday and we called the maintenance line just expecting to leave a message and someone actually answered! We had our water fixed within an hour! That would be unheard of where I live now. The complex is very pet and family friends. Lots of events for all to participate in. Parking is plentiful, although some of the spots in one of the lots flood if it rains too much. Maintenance is very thorough about salting and plowing the streets when necessary. I'm taking off 1 star because of the people who lived above us. They were extremely loud and had a dog that was clearly over the weight limit for the second floor. I wish the complex had been better about enforcing those rules. Also, the ceilings are very thin. We were able to hear all the "adult" things happening in the master bed room upstairs, which was rather uncomfortable. I graduated from school and had to move on and, unfortunately leave Salem Woods. Trying to find a new apartment was very difficult since this place was so nice! My new apartment is nowhere near as nice as this place. It may seem expensive for the Salem area, but it is completely worth it!
