They haven't offered to move us, haven't helped with the damage, and have completely ignored their responsibility. Because of their negligence, our belongings have been ruined. This has been a health hazard and a nightmare, and they've shown no concern or urgency to fix the situation. If you're considering moving here--don't. Save yourself the stress, the damage, and the danger. The apartment complex management doesn't have any compassion on all my items that was damaged due to mold inside the apartment and the management lied on reimbursement of my family's clothing, Furniture etc. please don't trust this place. They could have it remodeled and new tenants at a higher rate before our original move out date. Nonetheless clubhouse looks great, seems to be all they care about. The dumpsters are constantly overflowed with trash throughout the property.

Also, it seems like someone is always being evicted. In my building alone in the last year and a half 4 apartments have been evicted.

If I had known, I would not have moved here...I moved from Califonia and got a call 4 days before…read moremy move in date telling me that they did not have my apartment for me, I needed a first floor for physical reasons. They then told me I would not be able to get my deposit back for 90 days, so finding another place was out of the question. I already had my flight booked and a moving company was already driving. I ended up in a 3rd floor for 2 months before they had another 1st floor opening. In order for me to change apartments, I had to sign a new lease, so that made me stay there an extra 2 months in the end. I rented 2 garages, One of them FLOODED OVER 6 INCHES every time it rained and both of them had MAJOR issues with the doors working. One time I sat outside for 45 minutes waiting for maintenance to come close the door. I called maintenance directly and found out that the office never even called them to help! MY CAR WAS BROKEN IN TO and the entry halls are very loud. My children and i were woken up multiple times because of people partying and talking loud, and stomping down the stairs in the middle of the night. Id say this happened about once a week. The appliances work mostly great, but are loud enough that I could hear the Dishwasher and/or the washing machine running, through 2 closed doors. Maintenance also had to come fix them about every 2 months though. The AC had major issues too! It apparently was leaking . The WINDOWS SUCK! they had to put plastic over them to help insulate, the air that came in caused a 12 degree differance withing 5 feet in the rooms. So that was nice, living in a "Luxory Apartment" and having plastic over the windows. Upon moving out and getting my deposit back, I was charged $360 for blinds that were broken when i moved in, and this was in the paper work when i moved in. I was also charged over 3 months worth of water, even though I didnt even live there for the last month! I tried calling multiple times, emailing, and een went to the office. Each time no one was there and i NEVER got a response. Alot of the building was just old, not fixed, sloppy. NOT LUXORY APAPRTMENTS at all INTERNET is good but not good, we lost a total of 21 days of the internet being out, and we still had to pay for these day! Theres more I can add but it will take up too uch space. Its just really nice to see how this company treats wounded Veterans!

If you put in your maintenance requests, they will close them saying they fixed the issue but never even come to see it. Residents are loud and disrespectful and the community is mostly foreign people. The management staff are rude, belittling and unprofessional. This is supposed to be a gated community and they have the gates bungee tied open. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider this nightmare of a place.

A bug exterminator comes to visit every few months and we never had any problems with bugs while living there. We had a few issues with the hot water cut off to our shower over the year we lived there and maintenance was always quick to fix it. The first time it happened was in the middle of the night on a Friday and we called the maintenance line just expecting to leave a message and someone actually answered! We had our water fixed within an hour! That would be unheard of where I live now. The complex is very pet and family friends. Lots of events for all to participate in. Parking is plentiful, although some of the spots in one of the lots flood if it rains too much. Maintenance is very thorough about salting and plowing the streets when necessary. I'm taking off 1 star because of the people who lived above us. They were extremely loud and had a dog that was clearly over the weight limit for the second floor. I wish the complex had been better about enforcing those rules. Also, the ceilings are very thin. We were able to hear all the "adult" things happening in the master bed room upstairs, which was rather uncomfortable. I graduated from school and had to move on and, unfortunately leave Salem Woods. Trying to find a new apartment was very difficult since this place was so nice! My new apartment is nowhere near as nice as this place. It may seem expensive for the Salem area, but it is completely worth it!
