In general a very positive experience, good location, easy to walk to anywhere. lots of sunshire in…read morethe apartment. Nice door man and new carpet is a plus for the building. Heard a new power washing to the garage too. The only concern is the construction for the old DMV. The construction generates some noise in the morning. If you commute to the city, you might not be affected.

My husband and I looked around White Plains for an apartment, and this building was the best bet in terms of size of apartments, price, and convenience. The higher floors get tons of sunlight and the 12th floor apartments have fireplaces. There's also a gym upstairs and laundry on every floor. The building is about a 10 min walk to the MetroNorth train station and a 5 minute walk to the Mall and Target/Shoprite. There are so many other things within walking distance including the library, DMV, restaurants, bars, biking/walking trails, etc. etc. With regards to the negative reviews left, it really depends on who you are renting from. They may have had a bad landlord who tried to rip them off and weren't attentive to issues that came up. The units in this building are owned by individuals and either lived in by the owner or rented out to others. I think the review by Steven L. which is filtered out for some reason states valid points. Each unit has separate heating and cooling units. If yours is broken ask your landlord to fix the unit in your apartment! No regrets living here.

I went to look for a condo purchase here. This is a 16 unit condominium with elevator that looks…read morenice from a distance, but upon closer inspection not so nice. The unit itself was fully updated and beautiful. The hallways appeared fairly clean. Neighborhood is about average for White Plains, but convenient to a lot. I put in an offer and it was accepted. I had the inspection a few days later and my inspector found a live cockroach in the kitchen cabinet. Gross! I then decided to take a further look at the apartment underneath me. The first floor apartments are partially underground and from the outside look terrible. You cant even see the windows from the street. You need to walk up to the building and look down. Anyway, I obviously was not able to gain entry into the apartment, but what I saw from the outside was shocking! The deck was filthy, not touched in years. The sliding glass doors were filthy. The screen to the sliding door was torn, rusted and hanging off he door. All units are supposed to come with central ac. This one had no air condenser on the deck. Now I now at least one location were the roaches were coming from. My inspector looked at the pic and was grossed out also. He said it looks like they have a pest control box on the deck. I emailed the pic to my agent and told her to withdraw my offer. I forwarded the pic to management and they said everyone is responsible for their own unit. Duh, and this is why there are rules written that you must keep your unit in clean condition. Obviously, no such rule in this complex. Hell, I live in a nice rental building in Port Chester and that rule is written into the lease along with no smoking on property and quiet times between 10 pm and 8 am. I emailed Ferrara Management to provide me with the by laws (rules and regulations). Turns out that there are the most minimalist of regulations I have ever seen. They were all written back in 1988 when the complex was first built with nothing ever added. No smoking regulations, no noise restrictions other than to use a "reasonable amount of carpet". There is nothing about quiet times. I asked how many were being rented. Management said four. There are 4 units per floor and I would bet that at least three of those are on the so called, first floor. Do yourself a favor and don't waste you time and money looking into this building. It was unfortunate because the unit was very nice, but the building is a poorly managed with a joke of a condo board (3 unit owners).

Reserved spaces in the crowded garage were impossible when I asked every year previous to this. Now - an entire floor is reserved for another building and we will get towed parking there. She literally lacks the competence to manage a Mcdonalds, let alone a "luxury" building. I am not the only resident who has expressed this frustration with her management abilities.  Nonetheless, this building sucks and discriminates within their neighbors. My experience has been horrible since day 1. A few weeks of living here the concrete fell off in my kitchen leaving debris in my food. The shower gets cold after 10 minutes despite me making maintenance requests. The lights go off and on randomly as if a ghost lives in my apartment. There are no peepholes on the door nor are there cameras on each floor which can be a huge security issue, especially considering how concierge lets any and everyone into the building. Last but not least,  the construction of this building was built poorly! The walls are so thin that my neighbors complain about my conversations and one neighbor even called child protective services on another because she could hear her 11 month old son cry (yeah that's how bad these walls are)! If you like your peace and quiet then this is not the building for you. If you want to play music or even have conversations on the phone then this is not the building for you!  Please take my advice and consider yourself lucky for not moving here.

We toured the apartments and actually found one we really liked. When we emailed the next day to ask about applying, no one responded. Over the next week, I emailed Michael multiple times and left a few voicemails and never heard back from them. During that week, we decided to look up reviews for the building. We hadn't paid much attention to apartment building reviews before because we felt like most people who wrote reviews would probably be complaining and trying to get management's attention (which I guess I am guilty of now). However, when the reviews are consistently negative and all have the same complaints, you have to wonder whether there is something to them. It has now been 2 weeks and we have not heard anything from them, not that we would still want to live there anyway. So while we do not live in The Continuum, I frankly am not sure how one would go about living here since management is so bad they won't even respond when you are trying to give them money. When we toured other buildings in White Plains and talked to some other people, a lot of them said "whatever you do, don't live in The Continuum." Just wanted to share our experience so others don't waste their time.
