The…read moreoffice was clean, I was seen on time, and the physician in training who saw me before Dr. G was outstanding: thorough, thoughtful, and attentive. That first visit was so positive that I even recommended the practice to my mom, aunt, and sister. Everything after that was the opposite. It took multiple calls to get my prescriptions sent correctly after they were sent to the wrong pharmacy and most weren't sent at all, and we'll call you back took days. Then, When my lab results were ready, I called and was told they could simply be emailed to me, and they were. A few hours later, I received a notice that I had missed an appointment and was being charged a $35 no-show fee. I called the next morning, explained the misunderstanding, and was told to come in Friday to review my labs. On Friday, the receptionist handed me paperwork for an annual wellness visit I never requested and had recently completed. When I tried to explain I was there only for a lab review, she repeatedly interrupted, waved me back toward the waiting area and simply repeated multiple times that was what I was scheduled for. I said I did not request a wellness visit. I was told I would be charged another no-show fee despite being there in front of her if I didn't have this procedure done (despite having had it done recently). When I asked about the attitude, she laughed and said "I'll go get my lead", I never asked for a supervisor. The receptionist left and returned with the office lead, whose first words to me were, "What do you need?" She did not ask what happened, only repeated the policy and said I would be charged. I asked if I could briefly speak with Dr. G about the scheduling error. I was told no. I asked to simply leave my phone number so Dr. G could call me later so I could share my feedback, and while I was finishing writing it, the office lead demanded I go sit down to finish it or threatened to call the police. THREATENED TO CALL TGE POLICE, when there is nobody behind me, when I didn't raise my voice or curse, I wasn't asked to leave, simply because I was unhappy paying a no show fee for showing up to a type of appointment I didn't request. There were no patients waiting behind me, and I said repeatedly that I was happy to leave if that was what they wanted. While she had the police dialed she went back and Dr. G eventually came to the front. I appreciated that, but before I could explain, I was told I couldn't disruptive as she was arriving (I wasn't even speaking to her yet) and she referred any feedback back to the office lead. After seeing the same behavior from the doctors as the tone deaf staff, I left because it was clear my concerns were not going to be heard and the staff is one that escalates simple matters. This was a scheduling misunderstanding, not a safety issue. A receptionist or office lead should listen, clarify, and de-escalate, not jump straight to threatening to call the police. Because of how this was handled, I called my family and told them not to become patients. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office to others or trust it with my family's care.

An MRI indicated that I had a synovial cyst that needed to be removed ASAP. While I was very fearful of the surgery. As soon as I met the team at South Texas, spine and surgical Hospital, I immediately knew I was in the best hands. Dr. Albert and his team were absolutely amazing, professional, and truly concerned about my pre-and postop surgical needs. This hospital is owned by doctors and it is evident that they put their patients first. Everyone in the hospital even housekeeping were checking on me asking me if I needed anything and just holding my hand for comfort. The physical therapy team never left my side and was always watching me to make sure that I was getting in and out of bed with care. My postop care has been incredible. I have an occupational therapist, physical therapist, and a home healthcare nurse that come and visit me three times a week. I even received a beautiful get well card from the pre-op staff. I recommend this hospital and group of doctors to anyone needing neurology care. I am so very grateful and thankful to Dr. Albert and his team.

She was professional, compassionate, and took the time to thoroughly discuss my pregnancy while sharing so much helpful information I hadn't received before. A few weeks later, I received a call from Sandra, who introduced herself as my patient navigator. She was incredibly kind and explained that she would check in with me every three months. She also shared valuable information about the hospital, available resources, and what to expect throughout my pregnancy. I've had pregnancies in the past, but I've never felt this supported or cared for by a medical office. Every interaction has been positive, and it's clear they genuinely care about their patients. I can't recommend this clinic highly enough!

He had already been treated in the hospital and was specifically instructed to follow up with his PCP, and he was also due for his annual visit. Unfortunately, we were met with extremely poor customer service at the front desk. The receptionist repeatedly stated that the clinic 'doesn't treat accidents,' despite us clearly explaining multiple times that he was not seeking accident treatment, but rather a hospital discharge follow-up and routine care. We even provided hospital documentation showing he had already been treated, yet there was little effort or willingness to review or upload the paperwork into his chart. The lack of listening, understanding, and basic professionalism was very concerning. As a nurse, I found this experience especially frustrating and disappointing. Access to primary care--especially for appropriate follow-up--should not be this difficult. After reading similar experiences from other patients, I feel confident that changing providers is the safest and most appropriate decision for us. Due to the nature of this encounter, I also intend to report this experience and provide appropriate documentation to outside agencies to ensure this issue is addressed and does not continue to affect other patients. You never know the circumstances or backgrounds of the patients and families you are interacting with--compassion, professionalism, and proper communication are essential in healthcare.

I was given an appointment. On the Monday before my appointment, I received a phone call verifying my visit for that week. When I arrived at the office, I was told that they stopped taking my insurance in June (this is November...I made my appointment last month) and that I did not fill out the proper forms...I had found these on their website...I was told that the site was not updated and that the forms were no longer valid.
