I wasn't sure what to expect because there are so many mixed reviews. But I was due soon for my 15000 mile maintenance, and was hoping to get this done by or before August. Overall, I felt like the customer service was just as exceptional as at Cavender Toyota and Universal Toyota. James Greene (one of the Assistant Service Managers) who checked me in for my 7 am appointment was really welcoming, friendly and courteous :) ! He updated me with both text messages and also by finding me in the huge waiting area. So I felt like he did his best to communicate both verbally in person, and also by text, The service technician was also pretty great about sending me a maintenance video to show me what he found, and made it really easy and clear for me see what he immediately recommended. In addition to what was included for the 15000 mile maintenance under my Toyota Care Plan, I decided to go with their recommendations to replace the engine air filter and cabin / HEPA filter because I could tell from the video they shared of my car that these desperately needed to be replaced. Perhaps it's because I made an early 7 am appointment on a Thursday. I was pretty happy that I was able to get my 15000 mile maintenance, and also get my cabin / HEPA filter and engine air filter, all completed within 1.5 hours! If I had really wanted to, I could have taken their complimentary shuttle to get to and from work. But when James told me that the estimated wait time for the specified service on my car would be 1-2 hours, I just decided to wait in their waiting area, help myself to their hot complimentary coffee, and get some tasks done for work on my laptop. There is plenty of seating, with sofa chairs and adjacent small tables around a TV if you would like to watch the movie at the moment. And for parents who must bring their young children with them, there is a play area to keep their children occupied :) ! Any payment with a credit card would incur a 3% fee. I didn't read reviews before making my appointment, or before bringing my car in. Unless you have read reviews by other clients about this, you only find this out when you come to the cashier station to pay, and there is a sign on the counter to notify you about the 3% credit card fee. I decided to use my debit card instead so I wouldn't have to incur the fee that comes with a credit card transaction. China (the cashier) was super friendly and courteous, and checked me out :) ! In regards to servicing your car, I would recommend this Toyota dealership :) !

The owner and their finance manager had no problem with my requests. I appreciate their willingness to be competitive in pricing.... no trip to Houston required for my lexus hybrid. It's been years since I last purchase from a non-manufacture dealership, I must say before buying I did my homework on my hybrid, these folks have the same quality of vehicles like a dealership but for a slightly lower price. I had my own financing, the only delay was with my bank's drafting instructions.

The car was so clean (even the engine) and had new tires and a new battery. He allowed us to take the car to my daughter's own mechanic to make sure it was a good buy. The mechanic only found one problem which Akmet's own mechanic immediately fixed. There was never any pressure throughout. In fact he did everything he could to make us comfortable with the purchase. Financing was tricky but Akmet was so patient with the process. This a good, caring man - a rarity in car dealerships. We are so happy with our purchase.

Beware of meeting Mr. McGruff behind the counter. First said…read morethere was no diagnostic fee, then was going to charge my friend one. They argued over phone and McGruff hung up on him.. Later, I went up there with my friend because I had been a customer for years. My friend, BTW, was a young Chinese man. When I went in, Mr. McGruff, pretty much aggressively scratched out one fee and slammed the bail down on the counter at my friend. Then, when my friend went to say something else, McGruff told him he could go. They didn't want his business!!In the meantime, the owner was in his little office around the corner and knew I was out there and did not bother to get up and come out to find out what the real problem was. Personally, I don't want to do business with Customer Service like that. Won't be going back, neither will my friend. We went up to PRESTIGE Automotive just around the corner and they had his car ready to go by 3 o'clock in the afternoon! Plus, he didn't have to pay the diagnostic fee!

Car wash damage my satellite antenna or might flew away through air while I'm driving. Anyways, they took care of it, applied my warranty coverage that is not supposed to be I guess, bec this is a physical damage at my own fault from the car wash, maybe? I didn't pay anything out of my pocket for parts and labor. They also washed my car after and provided me a service round trip going back home until car is finished. Long story short this dealership deserved a good/ high rating started from the sales department my friend, Mr. Rob Vargas, in service department Mr. Peter Hernandez. My advisor could not check me in so another person did ( which is fine ), but never came over to introduce himself, until he was going to leave for the day and said someone else would check me out. Their waiting area is just as sad and a joke!!! For customers waiting two hours or more. They have three TVs not working , no music. Might as well be a hospital waiting room. At least there you get more interaction with their staff. We have another vehicle/ different manufacturer. I take it there for oil changes (now their staff should visit that service department for tips) and it's night from day in comparison with Cavender's service department. Bought the vehicle since my daughter loved it without taking it to a mechanic which I always do when buying used vehicles. But, we decided to trust the dealership (never again). 2 weeks later the engine light came on. Bad turbo so, now the car is super slow. Call them to let them know and all I got was the number for a mechanic to fix it and pay ourselves. Pretty sure they sold us a bad car. My mechanic stated it was a pre existing issue and they sold it to us anyways. Sad! Needles to say IF you decide to buy a car from here have your mechanic inspect it inside and out before you drive off.
