Beware: our experience with Stone Masters is that you have to ask yourself is a quality job with granite or quartz worth being made to feel like you should have brought a lawyer to your meetings with them. You will be made to sign many "agreements', watch videos, even having your voice recorded at the time of your template finalization. All this lawyering up from Stone Masters made us feel like they think that they are always right, and that maybe we should have had a lawyer present to make sure our rights are being protected. If they could possibly learn a little bit about how to not make people feel defensive, this would have been a five star review. Not a customer friendly place to do business with. Also, I should mention that my cabinet company and general contractor (55 years in the business) both said that they don't like to deal with them anymore either due to their "We are always right" attitude. The thing which saved this from being a one star review was the quality of the installation and templating process, although my plumber said that the hole for the faucet wasn't cut out enough. Everything turned out OK in the end, even if you were made to feel like something bad was bound to happen somewhere along the way.

    Uneven counter gap

we ordered new kitchen counters for our home. the staff on site are professional and knowledgeable about materials. the installation was sub-par, with uneven gaps, and wide gaps. we would not use this company again.

Six month old counter stain. Baking soda, acetone and professional grade product have done nothing.

ZERO My original post is below. This is my update as so many have asked. I anticipate there will be a harsh comment from the owner after this, as that has been my experience, reading reviews on Yelp and Google. Though the countertops "look nice", and the installation was quick, the rest is awful. After six months our counter stained from nothing major, and we should have been warned about the product. After calling to have a post project conversation it was bizarre instead and she did nothing less then bully. On other sites they actually call people names! I would never recommend a business where they can not communicate for continuity, and with an investment in thousands they are nothing short of snake oil salesmen. Beware! Don't be seduced by the showroom. I hope others who have contacted me are able to use legal services with this company. There is likely no other choice.... As a business owner I am keenly aware of the entire process of transactions and service. Though we were satisfied with the front end and middle sections of the purchase process, we are now finding out about the poor back end and after purchase for customer service. We elected not to purchase extra product on top of over $3,000 to seal above and beyond the countertop, and we did not know it would stain so quickly. we did not purchase the cheapest stone. But really what is more troubling was that when I sent a pic.of the stains looking for guidance I did not receive a phone call. We got a two sentence email reply. Not only a poor way to retain repeat customers, it is also a poor way for word of mouth.

We went on Sunday to pick out a piece of remnant stone for a small cabinet fabricated by my carpenter. We picked a level 6 stone at $81per sqft. The next day, they called the carpenter and told him $300 to $350 for less than 5 square feet, but requires a template. He tried to explain...he built it, no template required but they refused and became rude. He just asked for a written estimate, to price shop. I call Stone Masters after receiving the emailed quote of $705 for a piece of stone 37.5 x 18.75 (4.88 sq ft), cut off a larger remnant The woman was so rude, stating "they are entitled to have any policy to make their store flourish ". Well good luck with that! We went to another stone supplier and they sold the same quality stone, also a piece off a remnant, for $250!. Guess where my carpenter will be going for the rest of his kitchen installations. NOT HERE!!!

My wife and I were looking for a unique granite to compliment our family room project. Stone Masters has a fantastic selection of granite, soapstone, and quartz in both remnants and slabs. We were able to find a stunning Blue Flower Granite that looks amazing with the colors in our family room. Great customer service and an excellent selecti

BUYER BEWARE!!!!…read more Troy was recommended to me by a cabinet company, so I made the trip to Newark to check it out. The $1499 special has very little to choose from, but I managed to find two pieces (read remnants) that would work for me. Template and install time quoted were very quick (should have been a red flag). Then they broke one of the pieces, so I had to go back and pick another. When it came time to install, the guys were very rude, and couldn't install one of the pieces because it needed to be cut and pieced in order to get it in the space. Told me they would be back tomorrow. Well, tomorrow is here, and no installers. They never notified the scheduler that they needed to come back, so I'm pushed back another day. Also, they made a mess in my bathroom, and didn't clean up after themselves. Also, the counter has sand marks in it, so it will now have to be polished where it was glued. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for your needs, because this place is terrible. Salesperson won't call me back, manager won't call me back. Also, they charge you the credit card fees. Bad business in my opinion, and I've been self employed for almost 40 years.

We chose Pine Street for a full house remodel (replacing electric, plumbing, major structural…read morerevisions) of an historical home in the West Chester borough. Our primary objective was the highest quality work that would preserve the historical aspect of the home, but fully modernized and at the lowest reasonable cost. Nearly three years since we engaged them and we continue to feel like that was the best decision we could have possibly made. The essential things that made this experience wonderful for us, particularly as first-time home renovators, were the detailed planning and rigorous project management, the quality of craftsmanship and expert network, and the incredibly warm professionalism and care of the team. In sum, they delivered below our initial cost projections and ahead of time -- nearly the opposite of all the horror stories we've heard about some of the other crews. In the beginning, it was a very difficult decision to choose Pine Street. Their cost projections were higher than their competitors by A LOT. I nearly dismissed them because of it. But the level of detail and thoughtfulness in the bid really won me over. When I questioned competitors about some of the detail included in the PS bid, they would always respond that if that happened, they would need to increase costs, etc. It really made me worry about what final costs would eventually be and I ultimately chose PS for their transparency and integrity. Perhaps the best element of the entire project was the onsite project manager. This is a person who will be your main point of contact throughout, who will have all of the answers and will ultimately know your home better than you do. This is an enormous gift and a real relief in what would otherwise be a stressful time. Ours would call us proactively, make great suggestions and recommendations (things that you just don't know as you begin, but that are revealed as you get started). For example, he had a piece of reclaimed barn wood in his garage that he used as an accent piece in a stairwell or, in another case, was able to use parts of the existing rafters as trim in the bedroom. These little things feel brilliant when you're trying to preserve the feel of the home and keep costs low -- and these are simply things we never could have anticipated in the planning stage. This role in your remodel can really magnify the experience as a client. Another aspect to consider is that Pine Street has cultivated a network of people they trust over years of experience and working together. Every single person who came through our house was knowledgeable, respectful and responsive. The team would not have allowed it to be any other way. Further, at the end of the project, they gave us a portfolio of contact information for each person that had worked on the house, so if anything goes wrong or we need some additional work, we have a network of folks that know the house and that we know we can trust (and who, by the way, will be very quick to respond out of respect for their relationship with Pine Street). Finally, the part that is hardest to articulate, is the warm professionalism that the team brings. You'll feel it first with Brendon when you call with your first inquiry, but you'll leave feeling nearly astonished that the entire team carries it forward: problems will be addressed and solved before you even hear about them; the site will be clean at the end of every day without fail; the team will stop what they're doing when you enter to make sure you can see and understand the steps that are being taken (and they never got impatient with our very frequent visits). Again, all things we didn't know before we started but ended up defining the quality of our experience. It is an important decision to choose the right partner in these efforts. I can get easily stressed out by the volume of decisions that need to be made and was vigilant about costs and timing. The Pine Street team exceeded most of our expectations and left us knowing we made absolutely the right decision.

We had a very large scale renovation done by Pine Street that took about four months. They were…read morealways professional, provided great design advice along the way, and for the most part communicated well. This was a big project organizing lots of materials, people--including us, the clients and juggling unexpected structural issues, so of course there were a few minor hiccups along with way and the project took a bit longer than initially expected, but this was in part because of change orders we made. All in all, a great experience. This was our first renovation and it was as painless as you can get. We've been recommending Pine Street for the high quality, good design suggestions and smooth process.
