I went here on a first date and I have to say this place was the perfect wingman! Small but perfect beer menu and the cozy, hipster atmosphere was perfect for an intimate conversation. If the weather is nice you can also step outside onto their clean and comfortable patio for a conversation under the stars. The bar is located at the back of an older shopping center next to a gun store and martial arts studio...can you say Dive Bar. The small place has bar seating for about a dozen people and another dozen or so tables. There was some sort of "slot machine" assortment in another area. The entire place, including the men's bathroom, was very clean. The bar had about 6 beers on tap, another dozen in cans/bottles and a decent selection of name-brand liquors. The bars is definitely a no-frills, local bar. Having said that, the bartender was very friendly and prompt with her service. The regulars were really friendly, which resulted in quite a few nice conversations during my two visits. As mentioned above, I had such a good time the first night, that I came back my second night in town. Pretty good recommendation for a place. If you happen to find yourself in Salem and are looking for a cool, local bar, you could do no better than Lucky's Pub. Highly recommend.

They always have a beer I like so that's another big plus. The food mediocre and often a bit slow. It was better before Covid and the shut down. For some reason they feel the need to remove things from the menu during certain times of the year, which I notice because they are my favorite items. I appreciate that they have specials and although I don't think they are usually very good I'm glad they try. The popcorn is good. If they had a deep fryer it would transform their business. Just say'n. Update: I went there again last weekend and I highly recommend the pizza. I think it's the best thing on the current menu. Mostly I'm happy they exist as I like having a theater close by so I forgive the food, but might go more often if it was better.

Lots of regulars looks and feels Old. The waitress was very nice and took our order. Prime Rib, baked potato, salad, corn bread and a veggie. It didn't take too long. Here's how it went. The corn bread came out first. It was not warm and had probably come out of the fridge about an hour before serving. It wouldn't even melt the butter. The salad was your basic mixed greens with two unpeeled baby carrots a wedge of tomato and thousand island dressing. It was ok. Now the main course the rib was over cooked. I ordered medium and was more med well but it wasn't hot? Also it was very tough. The baked potato was not cooked. They split the thing before the served it so they had to know it was done and they still severed it. My brothers was The same. His meat was the right temp but it wasn't hot not hot and it was tough. The au jus was something I've never seen. It was weak and broken and someone had out liquid smoke in it. Very unpleasant. The broccoli was actually cold to the touch. We told the waitress who was very apologetic and she offered to sub anything. So we both decided to try the masted potatoes instead. They were watery and not warm. Disgusting. I checked Yelp before we went and saw that it was 4 star so I was fairly confident it would be good. Not at all. This place is terrible. If you are expecting bang for you buck try Micky Ds instead.

Had just the right amount of spices for flavor not overly salty, spicy or sweet. Eggs were cooked to perfection over medium just how I like them. The whites were set, but the yolks were still soft. The mashed potato is just what they say, it is a baked potato that has been placed on its side and smashed onto the grill to get crispy skin on both sides. What a great idea and use of leftover baked potato, I'm gonna have to steal it. The portions were large enough that I ate both of my eggs about a third of the sausage and a couple bites of potato, and the rest came home with me and was enough to add eggs to for two more breakfasts.
